  1. I am pretty much in the same boat..i asked for an expedite request and then for weeks heard nothing, then I finally got an email asking for additional documents which I sent also. I called USCIS yesterday and the tier 2 guy told me my case was active, it hadn't been archived, that my documents had been received but that it takes 10 to 20 business days usually to process (he also added that he has seen expedites processed in as little as one day). Anywho, he told me to give it another week then email the service center (another user provided those addresses in this post) and include your case number, referral ID, and a copy of any notice your received showing that your documents reached your service center. Since you are outside those 20 days I suggest you send an email and keep calling. Its called an expedite for a reason, maybe they just dont get the "expeditious" part yet.

Once again if this is an 129f application then there is no expedited request for processing. If they sent you a letter ; than it is an RFE ( Request for evidence ) . I am suprised you even got to a tier 2 guy as years ago I was not able to do that with a lot of work. You should have a case number by now and be able to track it on USCIS website to see if your touched which basically means they did something with your paperwork . It also used to say outside the 60 days I guest they got that down to 20 which is a good thing . Keep calling ; but you should recieve a letter of confirmation that you called ; keep those letters as you can use them as part of your package in the next steps. Good Luck .

  2. When did the 1-129F get all sent to Texas . It depends where you are filing from . Did something change ???? I filed in Vermont also . done with that . When did this change ? You should recieve a filing letter within approx 1 month . If you don't recieve a letter than call the Vermont Service Center to see if you have a case # filed on their records.

Who told you the Vermont Service Center is Closed? I wasn't aware of that ?

  4. First ; Did you submit a !-129F petition as this forum is for that. Yes if they asked for more information or an RFE ; then you should submit anything and I would send anything I had originally submitted again . The customer center that you call in my opinion is worthless and there is no where else to call ; they only tell you what youv'e already have sent or done. You may get a your local Senator involved if you get no response but from experience that does not even help . Sorry to say you just have to wait. You should recieve a response letter approx every 90 days about 30 days after each of your calls just to tell you that you in fact you called . ( I know ) . dosen't make sense but keep on it and good luck.

  5. Dump the loser, I mean lawyer. If you need one, find another that does not have his/her head up the #######...

You are paying this idiot for non-performance. Lawyers are a "dime-a-dozen" in this country. Find one with a functional brain!!!

At least a "security check" means someone's doing something. They "lost" my application for a good 4 months or more.

I've been sending email to CSC now and it seems a bit more informative than the customer "disservice" line.

As to lawyers, I have yet to find any with a good reputation.

The lawyer can only do as much as we can in theese situations ; as long as he is monitoring the situation contacting senators wrting letter and submitting perfect paperwork.

Anyway I got touched today ; stating that I will recieve a written decision shortly . Since thay wanted pictures last week again and now they are sending us a decision ; wonder if that's an approval. Hope so as 9 months of waiting is very stressfull to me and my fiancee . ANy comments ?

  6. I was held up 6 months at CSC due to security checks, I just kept emailing CSC letting them know I was not going to forget that my petition was not approved yet. LOL, I emailed them at least twice a month, seemed like the same officer got my email and emailed me back each and every time. The day my petition was approved I sent him a thank you email, because I know they are really doing all they can. I also contacted my Congresswoman and had her inquire as well. I think that is really all you can do, but at least that keeps them aware of your case.

Just Hang in there, if they have sent you an RFE, it can't be much longer now, I bet you will be approved as soon as you send in the information.......Good Luck to you

I got touched again today . The first RFE was request for pictures ; that we already sent 9 monhts ago. Wonder what that means . Anyway they recieved them again and said you will recieve a written answer shortly and less than the usual time processed as are case was already partially processed. Wonder what this whole thing means.

  7. I have been calling the VSC since January , before that my lawyer was calling . I plan to see my congressman this week. I have a case reciept number as I have been calling to do inquirys all along. I updated my timeline here ; but it does not list Tirane , Albania for the consular section . Also want to know what "touched" means . I assume it means the inquiry letters.

Do you also check you online status? If not, go to the USCIS online status page and create an account using your receipt number: https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp This way, you can check daily to see if the "last updated" date changes - that is being "touched". It means someone did something with your case i.e. picked up a file, moved it to someone else's desk, put it in a different pile, or actually worked on it.

I have always checked my status online but I just entered the EAC and got the same answer : " Your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was recieved on . We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete blabblbla.etc. I now registered and see the last updated case Date and I was livid. It says November 7 , 2005 . Does anyone know of a number I can call at the VSC to get past the call center and talk to someone who can really expedite or at least explain what is going on .

  8. PLEASE FILL IN YOUR TIMELINE IF UNSURE HOW TO DO IT GO TO THE LINK IN MY SIGNATURE AND UPDATE IT THERE. This is VERY VERY important in calculating the statistics on this forum and to help other members answer your questions effectively and quickly if they can see what your timeline and conulate details are . Thank you

  9. Uhm i would deffinatly get ahold of your congressman/woman ASAP, 9 months is too long to wait for ANY service center. I know how you feel bout the not getting beyond the CSR when you call, its as far as i ever got as well, and none of them are helpful anyway. Your lawyer should have been contacting your state rep id say months ago, there is something wrong if youve waited this long.

The only other thing i can think of is you could be in AR, and AR can take this long, from what ive seen of other people going through AR. I would deffinatly try to find this out.

    Good luck to ya

    hugs,

    Tara

What is AR? Don't see it in the appendix.

  10. I fircked out after 9 days start calling!!!.

Thanks for all your replies . Just a clarification . My lawyer started the process and sent the paperwork. I have a Reciept number (EAD#) and have copies of letters recieved from inquirys from the service center . Every 60 days I now do the inquiry and my lawyer gets a copy . I'm quite disturbed in the fact that some of the posts here suggest that you can actually contact someone at the service center and get more information about your case . I have never got passed the customer service rep ; as they state " That they will send a letter confirming my inquiry and that my case is still under review and that is the only information they can give me." They cashed my check back in October. I obviously need to contact my congressman myself ; which I will do right away . I appreciate the feedback. :(

  11. I filed my I129F over 9 months ago and have not recieved anything but the letter they send you when you do an inquiry . It shows outside processing time and says they are reviewing my case . I have an immigration attorney but he seems to be at a lost also. He supposedly contacted a Senator to help out but no word as yet. Since I cannot contact them directley except for the customer service reps that take down the information. I am starting to loose hope. I filed in Vermont back in September 2005 . All the paperwork was in order . My fiancee is from Albania and we are heartbroken . Does anyone know of this taking as long as my case and could give me a glimmer of hope with some information? Also can someone explain to me what an NOA1 exactly is and when you should normally recieve it. I assume it is the first letter of acceptance . :(
