  1. As OP I appreciate the answers and the support. This is however, still raw, and for wiser or dumber, although hurt and angry, I still care about this woman. I don't know why she did what she did, fraud, fear, cold feet, just found someone else because of distance and didn't know how to tell me....there are a myriad of possibilities.

Maybe, I had something to do with it - not saying I did - but hey, sometimes guys can say or do stupid things that hurt the women they love and not even know it. Tina was not the type that would ever admit to being hurt so it is possible I did something that festered and grew into her acting stupidly and then everything just went wrong.

I don't know because she won't respond to any communication attempts. But I am asking that everyone not trash her publicly.

I know it is all well meaning and a show of support, but please don't anymore.

    thank you.

  2. Email the embassy (with your case number and beneficiary info - DOB, name) and let them know you're withdrawing your petition for reason X.

Also send a letter to USCIS referencing your case number to withdraw your petition. You'll find address for USCIS on your NOA2 approval notice.

Yes, I was finally able to get through to the embassy and they gave me an email address and instructions to send essentially the same information you just suggested. I have done that now.

I didn't realize I should contact USCIS since the case had progressed past them. Would that be just to clear up the "K" filing so that it won't muddy the water should I choose to pursue a "K" VISA in the future?

  3. ok, this is an embarrassing question. Long story short, I was duped. Basically, the K-1 from NVC left for Manila a day before I flew out to visit my fiancée. About 36 hours after getting here, I learn that I am not "the only one" and I haven't been since probably day one.

I am sure the case has reached the embassy either yesterday or will today.....

What do I do to halt the proceedings?

Does this affect my ability to file a future K-1 in the future? (low on my list of concerns, but it did creep in)

Oh and any advice on how to come to grips with the fact that a significant portion of the last 18 months of your life was a lie would be pretty helpful too.

  4. Hey everyone,

I am collecting evidentuary documents for the I-134.

    Currently I have obtained:

    1) A signed and dated letter from my employers Director of Human Resources with all the information outlined in the guides.

    2) The last 3 years Tax Account transcripts, hard copy snail mail version, with accompanying letter from the IRS

    3) The last 3 years Tax Return transcripts, downloaded and printed from www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

(a nice service I might add.)

    4) My last 8 (bi-weekly) pay stubs.

My income is sufficient to meet the minimum requirements.

So, do I need to include W-2's?

Do I still need Bank Statements?

Do I still need asset documentation?

Is there anything else I should consider adding?

I am 2 weeks post NOA-2, but have not yet received NVC Case#, just trying to be pro-active.

    Thanks in advance

    M.

  5. Hi!

If you want to save on shipping cost, check the requirements and consider sending only the documents that will need your wet signature. She can prepare those that doesn't require to be original or doesn't need your wet signature and the 75 pounds of Evidence of Genuine Engagement here in the Philippines.

I just got approved last Monday. For our Evidence of Genuine Engagement, I included a picture for every place we visited, one monthly screenshot of FaceTime and chat log in the last two years. I also included passport stamps and visa and hotel bookings. I printed everything out and it was 150 pages in total- just for the Evidence of Genuine Engagement. I have a little OC tendency lol. The CO officers in Manila Embassy did not look at the entire150 pages. They just scanned and checked probably 5 pages.

    Just send her the following:

1.NVC letter (I read some just printing out the the CEAC website)

    2. Affidavit of Support, which includes your 1040, w2, recent pay stubs, certificate of employment and bank certificate. It is in the packet 3 requirement, but the consular officer did not ask for it during my interview. However, I heard some COs asking for it.

    3. Proof of termination of prior marriage, if applicable.

    4. Also, send an updated intent to marry and a copy of the bio page of your passport (Not required, I just want to be prepared. My OC tendency.)

Thanks, with any luck I will have little if any shipping costs to get the documents to her as I have already scheduled a trip to visit her in a few weeks. Hopefully, we will have our NOA2 before I visit so I can bring the bulk of the docs with me. With the possibility of yet another 2 - 2 1/2 months until the interview we couldn't stand being apart any longer even though I will be with her at the interview as well.

Thanks for all the replies, ideas and tips. I now feel much more confident about this topic.

  6. I took a couple pages from a couple weeks apart from our chats and just put it together. I wrote that if they wanted more, I have full conversations. I'm sure they don't have the time to go through and read it all anyway... So that should be sufficient. I included emails of flight itineraries and vacations we took together.

Are you gathering this for when you send I-485 or for the interview since you have already sent your I-129F?

I included chats from the beginning until we filed the petition, and then chats from where I left off to when we filed for adjustment of status. If that makes sense to you...

Thanks I like the idea of a letter explaining more is available. No this is not for the I-485, but for the K-1 consulate interview.

  7. This subject is very embassy specific, the PI is one of the easiest consulates so you do not need too much.

A few chats per week are fine, same for phone logs, some monthly emails.

Yes, do use communication prior to filing, they like to know how you met and how your relationship grew and developed.

Beginning chat page and end chat page is fine or only the beginning page as long as name/date shows.

Take as much as you are comfortable with to clearly present your love story and relationship to convince a stranger

with not just chats but other evidence and photos.

Evidence should tell your story, highlighted events and future planning (wedding) chats/photos, quality trumps quantity.

Thank you this helps. I was not looking forward to sending about 75 pounds of paper overseas!

  8. Hello everyone,

I have browsed the forums and I am unable to find anything specific about this.
We are nearing an expected NOA2 date for a K-1 application and I am starting to gather necessary documents.
We have literally (and I do mean literally) thousands of pages of chat logs, emails and phone records from
    this calendar year alone.

How much is to much? How little is to little?

Should I just choose a few emails from each month and a couple of daily chats from each week?

I read somewhere else that the beginning and ending messages from each chat (date and time stamped) would be
    sufficient... true or false?

Also, should logs prior to filing the 129F be included or are they meaningless?

If it is relevant to the answer of any these questions this is the Manila embassy.

Any help will be appreciated, thank you!
