  1. Hi Everyone,

I'm updating our Affidavit of Support form with current assets value (used as basis to meet the 3x requirement for my spouse) and I've read conflicting information regarding what to place in the Income section Part 6 Item 2 for current individual income as I don't want to confuse the Consulate as I believe I can only qualify based on assets rather than any current or past income because my overseas job and its income will end when I relocate back to the U.S. with my wife.

In reading the instructions for the I-864 form, although it isn't crystal clear, it seems to me that I should be putting a big "0" there despite indicating that I'm currently employed and submiting transcripts or 1040/W-2)...or should I be placing my current income despite the source of that income ending when we move?

    Thanks in advance everyone!!

  2. Thanks JFH,

Yes, already downloaded the instructions and it appears incomplete (ie makes no reference to bringing shot records or passport) so was just double-checking whether any forms, such as the DS-2053, need to be brought or if the medical facility should have it already.  Haven't scheduled an appointment yet for the medical...will do that after the weekend.  Thanks again.

  3. Happy New Year Everyone,

Hopefully this is just a simple question...besides the interview letter, passport, shot records and 2 photos, is there anything else that needs to be brought to the medical facility for the exam prior to the interview like some kind of forms that have to be filled out or is that all done at the medical facility and they provide whatever forms are needed to be filled in?

    Kind regards.
