Ugh, I just want to vent because I'm feeling super stressed out today... My GC expire yesterday and it's been almost a month since I submitted my application to CSC. 

I'm kind of freaking out because we are going to Brazil in August, but it's not just a vacation, it's my freaking wedding.  We got married here and had a really small ceremony at his church, just for parents and siblings, but my dad has always dreamed of walking his baby daughter down the isle at his church, so we decided to do the BIG wedding in Brazil. Hubby is an Infantryman in the Army, and at any given moment he could be deployed, so we decided to hold off the wedding for after he was out of the Army (his contract is up in July) because we didn't wanna risk him not being able to attend.

Knowing that I had to have my papers in order I was organizing my documents to send my package as soon as my window opened, in the first half of February. Except that a few days before my window opened I had a serious complication in my pregnancy and our baby was born two months premature. I stayed in the hospital for a couple of weeks, and after they discharged me I didn't get to come home because my baby was still in the NICU in a different city, and I stayed there with him. And honestly ROC was the last thing on my mind back then.

But I finally mailed my package about a month before my GC expires thinking it was plenty of time for me to get the NOA1, cause that's all I need really. I couldn't care less if the whole thing took years honestly. And now there's that.

And I'm freaking out they'll return my package for some silly reason like I didn't include my marriage certificate, and then it'll be another two months until they actually send my NOA1 and I can't make it to my own Wedding.  

I'm terrified, my parents spent like 30k on the wedding so far, all my American family has purchased tickets and booked hotels, and I'm freaking out I won't be able to be there.  Funny how I was afraid my hubby wouldn't be at the wedding and now I'm the one that might not be able to show up, lol

I really hope they start moving this processes soon. Fingers crossed!

I just submitted my package yesterday, and I wish I had joined this thread before because I already seen a couple of things I could've done differently - like sending our W2 with the tax paperwork and not using a folder to organize my package. :/ 

I hope I don't get my package sent back because of that, but I do have a lot of other documents that show bonafide marriage. Along with our joint taxes I sent out a copy of my husband's mandatory life insurance (he's in the Army) showing me the sole beneficiary of it, a letter from our bank showing we have a joint bank account, copies of our car insurances showing we are both covered on our two cars, our son's birth certificate, copies of cards from family members (I know it's kind of silly but our son was born two months premature so we receive oh so many sweet cards saying how great of a couple we are and that we would be amazing parents) and a couple of pictures of the past two years of us at his military balls, visiting his family, visiting my family and of us in the hospital when our son was born.

My GC expires on 05/14.

Do we have a spreadsheet for April fillers yet?

I am very happy for everyone updates!

I have a quick question. I got text messages only first time when they got my case. After that I'm only keep checking on the app and casetracker website. Why I do not get any emails or text , even that I send the form for e- notifications?

Some people have reported the same problem, even tho they filed and e-notification they only get the first message and then never again... To avoid this problem I did create an account on the USCIS website and signed up to receive e-mail and text messages notifications, in addition to the G-1145 - e-notification form.

Hey, guys, about and hour ago I got a text message saying my case was updated. i-485 approved! Hope everyone gets good news today too.

Here's my timeline:

03/12/2016 - AOS/EAD/AP Package mailed

03/17/2016 - Text messages informing the case and payment were received by the USCIS

03/18/2016 - Date of the I-485/765/131 NOAs

03/21/2016 - NOAs received by mail

03/26/2016 - Biometrics appointment for I-485 & I-765 scheduled

03/29/2016 - Received the NOA for the biometrics

04/13/2016 - Biometrics appointment (Nashville)

05/09/2016 - I-131 and I-765 approved

05/12/2016 - Text message informing I-131 and I-765 were approved (My Case Status updated on that day - I-131: "Case Was Approved"; I-765: "New Card Is Being Produced")

05/13/2016 - I-131 NOA hard copy received by mail

05/16/2016 - I-485 approved

05/20/2016 - Text message informing I-485 was approved (My Case Status updated today)
