So I recently got married to my childhood sweetheart who is from the Dominican Republic, we got married this past march and are ready to start the process to get him his visa! We're in our early 20's and I've tripped there quite often, there are pictures money transfers, phone records you name it we have it. I'm just a little nervous because this is my first time doing this. He has applied independently previously for his visa and was denied due to his young age at the time. I was just wondering about current processing time. If I do it now will he be here before the year is over? Which one should I do k3 or cr1 ?

Cr1 it took me 7 months our interview next week 😕..... Good luck with your journey

    Hi Rich.

I did my exam and vacinations in november 2016 and paid 275 for exam and 120 for all the vacinations in Consultorio de Visas. There are two places were your wife can do it, Consultorio de Visas (AKA Consultorio Viejo, http://www.consultoriosdevisa.com/requisitos-tarifas/) in avenida Independencia and Servicios Medicos Consulares (AKA Consultorio Nuevo, http://www.smc.net.do/) in calle Bohechio next to avenida Romulo Bethancourt, in Servicios Medicos Consulares they are more flexible about the vacinations, if your wife have all the vacinations and have her record they evaluate and discount it, in the other they arent so flexible but i had heard that they make discount too but not much like the other.

Thanks for the info I was wondering about the new place I'll give them a call tomorrow morning to set up an appointment

My Husband just had his Medical exam in the D.R last week and with the vaccines it was about $420 total. He is 32 years old and had no proof of any vaccines. The price depends on age and previous vaccine proof.

Thank you for responding i have the vaccine card for my wife it looks li k e everything is in order but u I'll definitely go prepared ?...... Good luck with the rest of your process

  4. Hi everyone, my question is for those who have completed the visa process here in the dominican republic.. I know that every case is different but I would like to know around  how much money you guys had to pay for your medical? I already went to the Web sites and saw the basic $275 and what every vacine cost... my wife has all her vacine but I read some where that they give some vacinations even if u already had them just to make some extra money so I just want to know realistically around how much am I looking at thanks for your comments

  5. The answer is no, you're entering the US as the spouse of a USC and not for the purpose of working.

Your kid is not born yet and hence you have no kids

Thanks for the reply I figured as much so I completed the DS 260 and sent it out last night hopefully everthing will go smooth and on monday I'll overnight my aos and supporting docs for IV hopefully I'll get cc with in a good time frame fingers are crossed?

  6. You need to be a bit more clear here on your post. Quote the question exactly as you see it.

Do you seek to enter the United States for the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labor but have not yet been certified by the Secretary of Labor? Yes or no

Do you have children? Yes or no

Those are the questions the first I'd don't know exactly what they mean and the second is I quess the answer is no because like I stated we don't have a child right now although in two more months my wife gives birth but I guess just call and update when that happens ?

  7. Hi everyone I ran into a question I don't really understand and need help the question is to my undestanding is it asking if my wife entends to work or what exactly thanks for your help

Do you seek to enter the United States for the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labor but have not yet been certified by the Secretary of Labor?

  8. No you write the name and details of the person the form is for. That is the US citizen's G325 will have his/her name and the immigrants' would have his/her Somebody correct me if I am wrong

    Hey all

doing the final go over of the forms planning to mail it tomorrow.

Quick question, at the bottom of the G-325 it states:

APPLICANT : print your name and alien registration number in the box outlined by heavy border

Since i am the petitioner for my husband does that make me the applicant?? In other words do I write MY name there on my husband's G-325 and my G-325

    Thanks all

    K&D

    BENEFICIARY is the applicant

  9. You are much better off doing it on a computer. This application will time you out and you understand that the format on a computer vs a iPad/tablet is different.

Less than 24hrs isn't going to change much... You would want to wait... I can completely understand the excitement to finish the document.

    :clock::clock::clock:

Lol just a little excited but yea I decided to do it tomorrow I don't want to take any unnecessary chances ? thanks for the advice
