My husbands was expired when he came on his k1
was the petition expiration date printed on his visa underneath annotation?
I have seen several stories where people got denied at POE due to expired petition even though the visa was still valid. that is why i am very concerned.

All,
I was wondering if anyone has entered the US after the petition expiration date but before the visa expires?
My fiance just got his visa but the petition expiration date printed on the visa is prior to our intended travel date (we bought tickets already). Will he encounter any issues when entering the US since the petition will be expired by that time?

You can ignore the space you circled, but if you are 100% not comfortable leaving it blank, you can also sign or initial it.
You are not the only one to ask about it.

1. Self is fine, you are applying for a K-1 visa, that question is geared more towards B visa applicants.
2. You will answer none. This question refers to family members that would need a visa.
3. He cannot get his K-1 without the vaccinations. This question should be marked based on the information available. If he had the records mark yes, otherwise mark no. He will need to present the records to a civil surgeon before his interview to have the information ready for the interview, our receive the vaccines from the doctor. He cannot get vaccinated after he enters the US, because they are required for the visa.
thank you so much. does he need a separate appointment for vaccinations? Can it be done on the same date/place as the medical exam?

We are filling out the DS-160 but have a few questions. It will be greatly appreciated if someone can provide guidance on how to answer these questions.
1. Person/Entity Paying for Your Trip
My attorney stated on the I-134 that I will cover 'all travel and boarding expense while he is in the USA', but my fiance will pay for his air ticket. Should we put 'SELF' or 'U.S. PETITIONER' for this question?
2. Are there other persons traveling with you?
It is my plan to travel to China and come back to the US with him after he receives the visa, should we say yes to this question and put my name on it? I am not sure if it is only applicable to any foreigners (people that need a visa) traveling to the US with my fiance.
3. Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?
It is my understanding that my fiance can get vaccinated during the medical exam or after he arrives the US. Should we answer no to this question with an explanation that says he will get it done during the medical exam?

I saw 3 people on another forum are going through the exact same thing. One was returned to nvc at the end of 2015 and they just filed a new one with USCIS. The other two are more recent.

That's
very
depressing....
Do you mind sharing if you take further actions afterwards?

Checking in, I filed my petition on 5/18, they received it on 5/24 and I got the NOA1 hard copy on 6/7.
The wait has begun.

You will save yourselves a lot of hassle and delays if you take the time to go to the local registry and get a certificate from them stating that he/she has not registered a marriage with them. We did this, as well as everyone else going through the K-1 Process. It may not be directly listed in the document, but it is something they want.
Thank you so much. I will ask my fiance to get one from the local registry.

Thank you so much. I just got mine.

Thank you so much for posting this. It is very helpful.
I just checked out all required documents listed on the USTravel docs website and it doesn't seem like we need to provide a marital status certificate to prove the beneficiary is single if he/she is not previously married. Do you know if a certificate to prove the beneficiary is single is necessary or did you provide one?
Here is an Image album I prepared to help others earlier for the IV4 Process. I have added a copy of Packet 3 to it.
Images are in this order.
1. Packet 3
2. Instructions on how to get the Packet 4 Instructions
3 and 4. Where to find Packet 4 on the website.
5 and 6. Where to look for appointment availability and what the calendar looks like when scheduling an appointment.
Packet 3 is literally 3 parts.
1. Fillout the DS-160 Page, and print the confirmation page (IN CHINESE, I made the mistake of printing it in english and had to get her a last minute copy when she was at the medical exam)
2. 2 Passport style photos
3. Copy of your Passports Personal page

For people who recently filed their K1 petition, how long did you wait to receive the NOA1 in your mail?
My atternoy sent my paperwork to USCIS on 5/18 and the check was cashed and posted on 6/2 but I have not received a NOA1 letter in my mail yet. Since my atternoy did not fill out an e-notification form for me and it is been almost 3 weeks and I still have not heard back from USCIS , I am a bit worried.

In the letter it says for express mail or courier deliveries, send the response to 850 NW Chipman Rd, otherwise send it to PO Box.
If I am sending it with USPS priority mail with signature confirmation, should it send it to Chipman Rd?
