Hey Guys!
PD June 15, 2009 is here and still awaiting interview letter.
Case was completed on Aug 2, 2016
Any clue on Montreal Consular's interview open spots?

Yes, I am trying to save as much time as possible on getting the hardcopy GC while getting things packed up in Canada and job ready in California.
Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks NLR! I am totally not aware of my OHIP eligibility at that time. I am still covered by my company's health insurance plan.

Hi Everyone,
I am sponsored by my father (FB-1), and expecting to have visa in October. My boyfriend and I are both Canadian, and I will be sponsoring him soon after I immigrate to the States.
I'd need more time to get my job transferred to the US office and at the same time I also wanted to speed up a process of getting the green card/SSN.
Is there any issue if I activate my visa in October and go back to Canada a week after, then moving to the States permanently in 3-4 months?
Your inputs are greatly appreciated!

Hey guys, hope you all have a great day! I have some questions to ask, thanks for your inputs!
I am Canadian and legally landed in the States last November 2016 (got a plastic green card). After landing, I stayed in the US for 2 weeks, then went back to Canada. Later on, I came back to the US again in mid December, stayed for Christmas/ New Year, then back to Canada in mid Jan 2017. I am currently in Canada.
My reason traveling back and forth is to secure a job. My employer is willing to transfer me to the US office. The plan is to move back to the US permanently by mid April 2017 when my new contract under the US payroll starts.
- CRA: i understand that I have to declare i am not a resident on 12/31/2016 ?
- IRS: The fact that I only became LPR by mid November 2016, do I still need to claim the entire Canadian income of 2016? should I pro-rate it and claim that applicable portion only?
