  1. My wife filed for AOS, and everything has went along smoothly. Until we got another letter in the mail asking for additional evidence (I-485) asking us to send them another I-864

is this normal? we saw no where that this was needed to be sent in with the rest of our paperwork. They already took the payment check and brought her in for fingerprints for her work permit. And if I have a joint sponsor, do her and I both need to fill out I-864 A? I'm not using/taking her money, shes just pledging to take responsibility or however the I-864 works.

I'm just as confused as ever again at this point

  2. So to keep a long story short, my fiancee (now wife) came into the US July 28th, and we got married Sept. 24th, and we're honestly very confused about a few things now. While we file for her residency and work permit forms, what happens after her 90 days run out? Now that we're married do we have a time frame/time crunch we should be worried about? We have a meeting at our local USCIS next week, and we're just worried we aren't doing everything or if we're running out of time.

  3. So just yesterday my fiancee got her K-1 visa approved in Montreal, but forgot to ask how the whole POE thing works. After looking online, what we do know is that they mail her passport and some papers back that she takes with her when she travels here, but what we don't know is how she has to travel. We had planned to drive from her home to mine, to bring all of her items, clothing, etc. But does she have to fly into the US from Canada? Is it okay to drive through the border as well instead? Will it cause issues if we cross the border into the US with all of her personal belongings, even with her K1? And lastly, can she fly/drive through any international airport/part of the border?

    Thanks!

  4. So in short, my fiancee and I have all our papers and forms filled out and accepted, her interview in Montreal is booked for June 8th, and her medical exam is booked for June 2nd. But when she called the medical exam location, she was told to have two documents, her packet 4 and confirmation letter for her interview date. In her emails, she has only revived the P4 and did not get her confirmation letter, although the date is booked. She was sent two examples of what the two documents looked like and she has them both, although on of the documents is slightly different due to it showing the time and date of the interview on the example letter while her's is missing that. Sorry if this seems jumbled up, it's just very stressful since they don't accept calls at the Montreal location, and waiting for an email back from them has made her a nervous-wreck. Any ideas and/or sense of directions here would be greatly appreciated.
