  1. I just received the letter today that was real fast NOA2 08/22/06 Date on letter from NVC 09/1/06 they say it will take a week for the consulate to receive it. Anyone know if this is true or just the standard generic line?

Some do, some don't. My petition was received at the NVC on August. 21, and as of today the consolulate has yet to get it. Other people have reported about a week to get there. Just depends if you are lucky, as I apparently I am not.

  2. As much as we want to believe that NVC is all good, they are getting bogged down big time.

Who knows, they must have huge stacks of petitions by now.

I have only waited 11 days and don't expect much for a while.

I am curious who is waiting for "NVC receipt" and how long ago USCIS approved your petition?

The information may offer some insight into further waiting.

I was approved on July 31, 2006 And my case was at NVC by 08-04-06 and received by the embassy by 08-11-06. So i guess it all depends on luck when you deal with these people. Goodluck.

I was reapproved on August 16, NVC had it on August 21. No letter yet, but when I called in, I was told it was mailed out on August 25, of course the embassy has yet to receive it. So I guess that means it's still sitting in the NVC mail room or on some jerks desk... I thought once it would get to NVC it would be faster and end this torture, but I guess that was too good to be true.

I just want my petition out of the USA! Maybe my petition is waiting to be issued a visa to be allowed to enter Poland, haha well at least that is what I am choosing to believe!

  3. I think maybe I phrased my question wrong.

Our petition has been approved, left the VSC, arrived at the NVC, then we recieve a letter to say it was sent to the embassy in Dublin on the 18th.

My problem is, the embassy have not yet recieved it 12 days later, not the NVC.

Has anyone else experienced a wait at this point?

Our petition was approved on August 16, and I called the NVC last tuesday and they told me it was sent to the embassy on Monday August 21. My finacee called the embassy today, they have yet to receive it.. Something's not right. DHL delivers most if not all packages within 2 or 3 days total. To Poland it has taken 2 days for every single one (and I looked back through months). Something is not right. I haven't even receive a letter from the NVC yet. I don't know what's going on there now? I would suggest calling the NVC, I am going to call again today.

Just got off the phone with NVC. Apparently the guy I talked to last week messed up when he told me it was sent out on 8/21. Appartently that is the date they received it from Vermont. The lady I talked to today told me it was actually sent on 8/25. She said the records are hard to understand in the computer for Recalled cases...

The short version is, it shouldn't take more than 3 or 4 days max from when DHL get your package. I would double check with the NVC to make sure they actually give you the correct sending date. Good luck.

  5. so we got approved today.

i am not excited at all. it just means we are onto the next stage of bull $hit with cis getting it to nvc and so on.

please, no congrats. not until we have the f**king visa.

    {big sigh}

Same here, approved 8/16. I am happy to be approved AGAIN, but I don't trust anything with this process anymore. I wish everyone else that is still waiting a quick finish.

  6. OK im at day 143 and still waiting on my NOA2 from Vermont....My IMBRA RFE has been back to USCIS for 45 days now, and still nothing, Senators dont help, CS dont help, So what can i do to move things along?

    Kelle

I don't know, but if you find something out let me know.. I think I am on day 150 now...

    Me too..

Yeah looks like we have the same NOA1 date. You submitted a couple weeks before me though. You almost missed IMBRA... good luck to you, I hope you get an RFE very soon. That is just ridiculous, how they could continue to skip over you!

  8. AP I dont have to fill out a timeline nor signature just cuz everyone else does. Posting what stuff ? I can make a comment to whomever or whatever comment I choose. They sure do and they arent nice unless they are being kissy kissy with other members who tell them what they want to hear. Why dont you comment on them they use curse words every other sentence? Guess Im not in the sloppy sweet holier than thou clique around here and a post booster ####### but it doesnt bother me one bit.

Of course you don't have to fill out a timeline or signature, and of course you can make a comment. I was just wondering if you are here because you are someone going through a family based visa process, or have already gone through one, or if you are here simply to antagonize people that are currently going through this long and frustrating system to be together with a loved one? Best of luck to you, if you are indeed here to actually gain information about family based visas.

  9. mrc how about kiss your green card chaser on the cheek goodnight.

William your a loser and you piss off. How come they are so many threads about post boosting? What the boxes and squares define how much of a loser these grown people are posting congrats when they dont give a damn.

Why are you even here? You have no information about a fiance(e) or spouse filled out. Are you that bored, or maybe that miserable, that you need to fill your life by coming on here posting this type of stuff? Of course you are free to be here, nobody can make you leave, but what are you trying to accomplish by posting this stuff?

  10. Oh just another day filled with frustration!!! I pity all of us who are still stuck in this IMBRA hell!! I feel like it will never ever end!

Spoke too soon, just got 3 emails saying my case was reopened today.

    Back to waiting patiently again.

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :dance::dance:(F)

Holy ****, I can't even imagine what kind of frustration you have must have had. I can't believe it took until now for them to just open your case! That is terrible.. Hofefully they will make it up to you, by sending the RFE out quickly and getting you a fast approval! Good luck!

  11. We keep seeing CSC continue to roll out the approvals. Why 'o' why is vermont sitting still? After we got our RFE and returned it, I was actually beginning to think that our petition could get back to the embassy before the end of August and hopefully get my fiancee an interview in September. Although it's only August 2, somehow, I am beginning to doubt that will happen. Why would they not want to just approve us again after our RFE is back!?

we also have this to think about....

the first approved recall is still at VSC

    .....great, just great.

and....do i recall hearing something in vj that VSC was going to help out CSC? could that be why CSC is hopin' and we're wallowing in imbra mud?

edit: hahaha rlt, we're on the same page!

Why in the **** is VSC helping CSC, when VSC cannot even handle what they have!? This is just too much... I can't believe this. Most of the recalled cases are from VSC! VSC is the one that needs help...

I really wish I could just walk into VSC, pick up my file, shove it in front of an employee and use force (if necessary) to make them "press, or whatever they do" approve! Then that would be just one more they would be done with.

Oh well, back to waiting unpatiently

Another disappointing day for me. I think we should be careful though, maybe some users might be working for VSC. I sure hope it doesnt take 2 months for my case to get to VSC from NVC. Just like it took 2 months to get to NVC from overseas. OH well back to waiting.

Ha, I wish there was someone here that worked at VSC! If there is anyone here that works at VSC, I have a few crisp singles with your name on it  , if you can get me approved any faster!

  14. I am in Dublin PA, just outside of Doylestown, about 1hr north of Philly.

I have speant hours on the phone, and I wont let it jeopardize my job. But I am just getting no where with anyone.

I would try all of the congressman around your area. From what I have read from other people and my own experience, they seem to be more effective than the Senators.

I have been in contact with the local paper here in Harrisburg, and they have expressed interest in interviewing me for an article. I don't know if I will, or if they really will do an article, but if you haven't yet, I would suggest calling your local papers to see if there is any interest in publishing something. I don't know if it would do anything, but you might be able to put pressure on Senators, Congressman, but expressing your concerns over their lack of help.

I really feel bad for you and your situation. I hope you can find some help soon. Best of luck to you.

  15. Zethris,

What happened at his office? Did anyone offer to help?

What about contacting Arlen Specter's office? I didn't see a privacy form on the website to download so maybe you need to call the local office first and find out who can help.

CASEWORK (Personal/Family issues such as Veterans, IRS Claims, personal medicine/Medicaid benefits, etc...):

Please contact the state office in your area for ALL casework concerns.

    Philadelphia (215) 597-7200

    Pittsburgh (412) 644-3400

    Harrisburg (717) 782-3951

    Scranton (540) 346-2006

    Allentown (610) 434-1444

    Erie (814) 453-3010

    Wilkes Barre (570) 826 6265

You can also try Congressman Murtha - fill out and fax the privacy form and call to follow up with a caseworker. Get a name and direct phone number and don't give up until they help you: http://www.house.gov/murtha/pdf/privform.pdf

Same for Phil English: http://www.house.gov/english/pdf/privacy_r...se_form0506.pdf - maybe start with him since his website actually says:

We help with naturalization applications, immigrant petitions for relatives and adjustment of status applications that are delayed or lost.

I would contact all of the above (maybe give up on Santurom) until you get somone to help you.

    GOOD LUCK

Congressman Todd Platts office has been very helpful and very responsive. Considering the fact that I am not even in his district (he is Adams, Cumberland, and York Counties). My uncle knows someone in his office, I think maybe his secretary. I don't know if that is why his staff is helping me, maybe. I would encourage you to try them though if you are in the Central PA area. They have been in contact with me nearly everyday. They have also been in contact with the Consulate in Poland to try and get my fiancee in for her interview as soon as we are re-approved. I really don't know if they have actually done anything to speed up my case (received RFE today 7/24), but they do seem to care, and are always responsive.

Santorum and Specter's office's are a joke! I think I spoke with them a combined three times over the past month, and the most they told me was that my petition was recalled because of IMBRA, haha. What a joke, I didn't need them to tell me that.

  16. You're right Rene did say that in this thread:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22319

I just hope what I heard today is correct, if not, it wouldn't be the first time I got incorrect info from the USCIS.

Well, either way, I don't mind waiting for it to be forwarded to the consulate or embassy at this point. I will throw a party and shout "approved!" out of the window when they approve the RFE and send us another NOA2, NVC or not. We've been waiting for months, a few extra weeks won't hurt. I guess.

I also don´t think sending it without NVC means it would be necessarily faster.

First, they might wait and gather all petitions from each country to send it together.. (this is just a thought)

I think they do work in batches...

Also, we know that once the case hits NVC it doesn´t stay there for very long.

My case got in Brazil in a week.

God knows how the Service Centers will mail it..! The RFEs took a while.

But it could all be nice and smooth.

Approving RFE, sending the case back to the Consulate in no time. Think about it. Why not?

Maybe it wouldn't be wise for the service centers to send it back to the Consulate directly. Since it isn't something they normally do. Could they be trusted with something like that? I am all for it getting back to the Consulate as soon as possible, but I am a little worried something would get screwed up if Vermont had to do another thing that they are not "trained" to do.

I am very curious to see what really happens. I just hope it goes quickly and without problems!

  17. I used priority also, only paid $5, sent it on Saturday, and I just checked online with USPS.com and it says delivered today to St. Albans at 1pm ..woohooooo, however no update on the USCIS.gov page yet. Tomorrow? I hope

It usually takes 3 to 6 days for them to acknowledge receipt. I say it not to be negative, but so you don't expect good news as early as tomorrow only to end up disappointed. However, I do hope they send you an update really soon :)

    Mine took 6 days.

Don´t worry, you´ll get an update very soon!

Yeah I figured it would be at least 5 days. I just had to overnight it or I would be driving myself crazy for not doing so. It's just sad to think, my Fiancee was planning on arriving this Thursday July 27, of course that was well before IMBRA took over.

  18. At this point I don't think it really matters how it is sent. I did USPS priority (2-3 day) with confirmation and saved 10 bucks. It will get there and not be logged in upon arrival anyway. My main concern was for it to not arrive on a Monday or Friday as those are their busiest mail days. But I did send my left pinky finger with it for any possible punishment incurred

Yeah, your probably right. I thought about it for about 5 minutes, but in the end, I just figured, what's ten more bucks!? Oh well, maybe we have the same case worker, so hopefully he/she will process our cases ASAP!

  19. I received my IMBRA RFE today in the mail! I am also sending it back today! OK, now going to send Mew a message so the chart can be updated!

American Woman - we were sent RFE's on the same day, I am guessing and hoping you have yours in the mail as well today.

Yup! Got it saturday and sent it back today. Now I can sit back and wait again!

americanwoman - How did you send it back today if I may ask? Overnight, regular, something else? I am just curious since we both had our RFE's sent on the same to us, and we both returned them today.

I used Express Mail from USPS, they told me it will be there by 3pm tomorrow. Just wondering if it will really make any difference from using something chepaer like priority mail. I guess it can't hurt, or if I know the USCIS, maybe they would punish people for returning it so fast, ha.

  20. I received my IMBRA RFE today in the mail! I am also sending it back today! OK, now going to send Mew a message so the chart can be updated!

  21. just when i stopped checking my online status every 10 minutes.......

I GOT MY F#@KING RFE EMAIL NOTICE!!!!!!!!

    CHANGE MY DATE BEE-ATCH!!!!!!!!

    7/19!!!!!!!!!

woohoo!! i gotta go dance with my office buddies!!!!!!!!!

    :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Same here. Got my notice today as well! Both of our cases were reopened on 6/22 and now we get the RFE notice today. I wonder if it is a coincidence, or if they do actually have some sort of procedure? Nah, probably not, haha.

  22. Well it finally happened. I got the update today that our RFE is coming! It only took them nearly 29 days since our case was reopened. I am quite excited, however, 29 days to send the form is really terrible. Anyway, I hope everyone else that is still waiting gets their forms soon, we are almost in August now!

  23. Guys, I have a number of questions and hope that someone knows the answers. I am sure that others would not mind to read these answers.

Any idea why some of the cases have been "re-opened" before others, although they were approved later for the first time? My case was re-opened on June 27, but I still have not received the "RFE" notice. How come that many people are receiving this "RFE", although their cases were re-opened as late, as July 10?

Have any of the cases been approved yet for the second time? What happens after this second approval? Is the NVC still somehow "in the loop"?

I had my case reopened on June 22. No RFE update for me either. USCIS has proved many times that they are not going to do our cases in any kind of order. I am beyond frustration. At this point, my Financee and I are just hoping for the RFE to come by August.... You may get it sent Monday, next week or in a month. No one knows. Hopefully for all us it comes sooner than later. Unfortunatly, some of us are just being left behind, for how long? Again no one knows. Good luck to you, hopefully both of us will get it sent this week.

  24. First off, sorry if this is not the place to post this, but I did some searches and couldn't find anything. Hopefully someone can help me out.

I am moving in a couple weeks and need to notify USCIS of my address change. I currently have a pending application for a K1 visa (I am one of the recalled cases, because of IMBRA). I found form "AR-11", however the directions say that it is for the non-US citizen to report a change of address. My question is, is this the form I would use to change the address for my application, or is their another form?

    Thanks,

I have heard of others who have changed their address by a simple phone call to customer service (1-800-375-5283).

In fact if you read the NOA1 you recieved it states:

"...If you move while this case is pending, call customer service when you move."

Yeah... if you're the American Citizen you just need to call the 800 number. I remember hearing that option on the never ending automated phone system that they have

Great! That sounds easy enough. Thanks for all your help!
