Forgive me if this is in the wrong place, I am new here and cannot seem to find my answer.
My spouse entered the US legally on a B2 visa, and we got married. He entered almost 6 months ago, and we have yet to file any papers (I-130, I-485). Is there anything that I/we could do to keep him here legally since we are filing the papers so late? Or must he leave by the date stamped in his passport?
Thanks in advance!

you may file i-130 Petition for Alien Relative abd i-485 Ajustment of status together.
the important thing is that you and your spouse didnt make any plans about getting married when coming to the US on a tourist visa, because that way uscis will consider it a visa fraud. because if you intended to get married than you should have applied for fiancee visa
so if he just came to visit you and you decided to get married after that, its fine.
We did not have plans to get married before he came here. I live in California and we went to Las Vegas for a few days, and just wanted to get married Thanks for helping. Do you know how long the process takes for the green card?

I married my spouse while he was in the USA (from China) on a 6 month tourist visa. He is still in the USA, his visa is up 12 of September 2016. Do I start with the I-130? Anyone done this before and have advise or timeline information?
Thanks!
