  1. I am so happy  and I saw your photo you r and your husband are beautiful together. I am so jealous (I am joking.) , I hope we all have the success that you had. And inshallah you will get through the process soon. (I am joking.) My fingers are crossed for you. I am curious about the questions and if any of the members know is this a new lady at the consulate's office?

    She asked him:

Where did you meet her? In Casa last summer (2005)

How do we communicate? On the phone...he gave her a phone bill that was as large a phone book!

Does she work? Yes, At ******* University

Have you met her familY? Yup, they love him. He had pics of my sister's kids at our wedding.

Have I met his family? Of course, they love me!!! I call his sister and he showed her this on the phone bill.

She asked about my mother and father. He told her that they were both deceased and she said she was sorry. :(

He has a brother who lives here in New Jersey and she asked him if we knew each other. He told her that he gave his brother some gifts to give to me last year during Ramadan and that is how I met his brother who treats me just my real brothers do! Like a kid.

  3. Wow, that sounds great Jerseygal... I hope his processing is quick and he is w/ you soon. I understand your need to leave here - I feel the same, but I do want to check in and see the progress of those waiting. Our interview is coming up in 2 weeks. I wish you all the best in life and do hope you continue to post periodically about your status and adjustment of immigration. (F)

Thanks. I intend to post about my experience maybe some newbie might find it as a source of information.

  4. Congratulations jerseygal :dance: ... i'm happy to hear the good new... i wish that the consulate won't be long in the name clearance...

you were in my thought this morning :)

Can you plz tell us in what language did your husband communicate with the CO? ... because, i still wonder if i better choose English or French? thanks

    again congratulations...

    Najia

    My husband only speaks Arabic.

  5. Just wanted everyone to know that my husband just left his interview in Casa. He was interviewed by a nice African-American woman. He answered all her questions; Where do I work? Where did we meet? She did not take the I-134, though. She lookad at the pictures of us at the wedding and said I looked beautiful. (L)

All in all he said she was nice and was really impressed when he told her that I speak Arabic and that my sister lives in Casa with her family. She gave him a paper and told him she was waiting for a name clearance here in the states. He is going to scan me a copy in a few.

When I posted last week about leaving ME/NA I meant it. I came to this site for USCIS support and knowledge not to bicker about why Arab men prefer non-Arab women or to answer a post designed to encourage inappropriate behavior.

  6. I am relatively new to VJ and greatly appreciate how it has helped me navigate the USCIS process. I appreciate everyone who answered my posts and I hope that I able to assist someone in my replies. I am "cleaning my house" in preparation for Ramadan and have decided to let this forum go. I think that this website is essential and offers vital information to newbie’s such as myself but I find not comfort in the call to fight as if we are being called to jihad. I hope that those who are here to gain information find it and get the USCIS outcome they are seeking.

Please take this life seriously. I was born Muslim and fall short everyday in my deen but I do not make it a point to go out of my way for a confrontation. Ramadan is fast approaching and everyone should heed this time to look inward at their own faults as I will be doing and try to correct them as I will doing, insha Allah.

Salaam and Goodbye MEAN ME/NA girls. (L)

  7. yes, i think that i better download the other forms and fill them out  who knows !!

for us, still one month before the interview... i'm already nervous!!

i'm planning to take the medical exam by the mid of next week... i took an appointment with Dr Khadija ZIRARI... jerseygal, which doctor did your husband choose? what does he say about the exam?

plz let us know about his interview... i'm impatient to read your post on wednesday

    wish you good luck again

    Najia

My husband also went to Khadija. He didn't say much really. I don't understnd why they only sent one form.

  8. My husband will take a copy of the 134 and the 156 in english and french. But they only sent the form 156 in french in his packet and the doctors instructions. Better to be over prepared I think.

My husband will just take everything on the VJ page just to be sure. I do not want to give them ANY reason to deny him or put him under a long review. I have literally been sick to my stomach over this whole process. I lost about five pounds this week. I guess I should be happy about that.

  9. In my husband's packet from the consulate in Casablanca he did not have everything listed on the VJ Morocco embassy infoweb page. He id not have a DS-230 nor DS-157 so he downloaded it off the State department website and completed it. Should he have gotten one from the consulate instead? The difference is that the DS-156 they sent to him was in French but he was only able to download the DS-167 and DS-230 in English. Will that present a problem? His interview is Wednesday by the way. Thanks in advance for your help.

  10. I totally agree with Sarah...Jamal had the same CO he was drilled about me and my family...so make sure that you got that covered...ther than that just tell him to relax and be truthful...I feel that these are the most important aspects to look for...Good luck...he will do good...:dance: we all will send out some major MOJO to Casa....:dance:

    Dorothy

Can you please give some insight into those drilling questions? Thanks for your help.

Make sure your fiance knows everything about you, DOB, where you live, address, what you do... and the same things for your family. They can ask anything and it's better to be overprepared than underprepared.

Here's how I look at it. When I was in college and we were going to have a test one teacher gave us a list of 100 questions and said ok 25 of these will be on the test so we memorized everything since we didn't know what would be asked.

Be honest, be prepared and organized. Once again- they need to see all of your evidence. Incorportate it into the interview if they don't specifically ask for it.

    Good luck!

I just finished readig all the reviews for Casa. I think I'm going to be sick. I hate feeling like I have something to prove to a stranger. My grandparents were married forever and I know my grandfather could not be able to tell Casa onething about my grandmothers family. That does not mean that he loved her any less it just means that he could not care less as he would say.

I wish I could just make them in Casa see that.

This is my happy/please dance

  12. According to an email they sent to me an I-134 is not needed but in reading some reviews from others who went through Casa it is up to the individual who interviews you. I sent a notorized on just to be sure. A co-sponsor is fine. Good luck on the rest of journey.

  13. I think it all depends on which interviewer your husband gets. Now we did a K1, but my husband had the "easy" guy. He didn't look at any of the police certificates, or the I-134 at all. My husband just went through our pictures with him, and was asked briefly about my family, and that's about it.

Thanks guys I guess I am just nervous.

  14. I am really nervous about my husband's interview date in 13 days. I looked at the reviews here on VJ about the Casa consulate but I still wanted everyone to just tell me a little bit more. Some say that the I-134 was not asked for some say that it was. I sent one anyway but I forgot to send my offer letter from my job. Should I send it now?
