Oath ceremony was today, and we are DONE with USCIS -- so glad. Hope to get passport within 2 weeks.

Updating to say that spouse's interview on November 8 went well & he left with a form N-652 recommending approval.
Heard today via phone call from USCIS that oath ceremony is November 22.
So glad to be almost done with this all!

Nothing yet either. I saw another monthly thread that added an NBC vs IOE column. I think it's a good idea.
Agree that a column for NBC vs IOE should be added to May 2016 filing tracker.
Right now, the tracker info is very misleading as is the processing time for N-400 applications based on VisaJourney data.

Not sure how it happened, but someone "updated" our info and it's WRONG. Alas, there has been NO "in-line" notification, nor yet a scheduled interview OR interview.

My wife filed her N-400 packet in May and had her biometrics appt a few weeks later, a normal amount of time. Yet, there has been zero change to the USCIS webpage that displays status, no mailed notices, and no indication whatever of being in-line or having an interview scheduled, etc. I see that some May 2016 filers are already taking their oaths.
Any idea what might be going on? We live in Dallas, where I understand the wait might be longer. Is there any use in calling USCIS or are they just going to give us boilerplate non-info...?
We haven't moved since filing, so I don't think there's any issue there.
If she has an "IOE" in front of her USCIS number (meaning her application was made using the newest form), that's probably why nothing appears to have happened. The IOE forms require use of a new software or processing system (ELIS) and not all field offices have rolled out this update or are trained on it. Also, the IOE applications are being sidetracked, apparently, so as to allow USCIS to process all of the applications made using the older (NBC) forms. Adding insult to injury, apparently the newer ELIS system does NOT update the online account for every USCIS action, such as being in-line for an interview. There is finally some movement, though, on the IOE applications, with interviews being scheduled at several of the busier field offices in the US.

If you read there, you should get a better idea of what's going on and what options you might have for an inquiry on your wife's case status.

Take proof of your flight and hotel bookings with you to increase your chances of success for an early walk-in. Maybe take a letter from the HR if your spouse travels frequently on business. I run my own consulting company and have to travel at short notice. So I did an early walk-in even though I didn't have any travel scheduled at this point. I just mentioned something about having to drive up to New York; which meant I would not have flight/train tickets. I did have proof of other travel I had done in the past (as a backup) and these showed my bookings within a couple of days of travel. I even had toll receipts for past drives between NY and MD for business and proof on my tax statements that those were business trips (yes; I am a bit crazy). But I'd rather err on the side of caution.
All they can do is turn you back. All you can do is maximize the probability that they will believe your story.

Spouse talked to helpful individual at the 800 number on the notice. The CSR could only recommend trying an early walk-in as well although they also said that he could resubmit for a new appt. Since spouse has the time & ability, early walk-in it will be.

When you have the letter, try an early walk-in.
If that doesn't work with your schedule or if they don't let you do it, try a walk-in wherever your business trip is (assuming it's in the US).
If those don't work, or if you don't want to risk it, send the notice back and request a new appointment.
I don't know if they'll give you a third appointment or not; they'll either mail you a new biometrics letter or a denial notice.
New online notice posted for appt scheduled for 6/23 -- after business trip starts. Will probably be trying a walk-in appt since there's 2 weeks in which to do so.
Will post updates.

I have never heard of anyone rescheduling more than once, especially after having missed the first appointment. I would recommend cutting the business trip short for the biometrics.
Thanks but curtailing business trip is not an option.
How do walk-in appts work for biometrics? Do you need to have an existing, valid appt w/notification letter & just show up with that?

Updating verbally to say that biometrics appt was scheduled for 6/1, the day after our return. Mail was held so we didn't see the notice, we couldn't log into online acct while gone, and so spouse missed that appt.
Sent in request for rescheduling via express mail on 6/1 & hope that it will be set as quickly as the first one since spouse needs to be leave on another business trip by 6/2.
Spouse can log in now so at least we should be able to see what's going on. What if the next appt is also set for time spouse is on travel? Just keep requesting a reschedule?

There's a chance that you will miss your biometrics appointment with this schedule. My NOA was dated 5/5 and my bio appt. is on 5/24.
I hope not but this is how the timing worked out...In reading here, most biometrics appts seemed to be scheduled at about a month after NOA.

Sent spouse's paperwork in to AZ lockbox last week. Received email notification of acceptance on 11 May which said file was being sent to National Benefits Center. Check also cleared bank on May 11.
We will be traveling from May 15 - 31 so we hope that won't create a problem. As far as we can tell, the only snail mail that should arrive during that time frame would be the Form I-797.

In spouse's case, (IOE filer), the oath letter was not uploaded. This may be because there was a very short time period for my spouse between his interview date (11/8) and when the next oath ceremony (11/22) was eventually scheduled. As of 11/8, the IOs who interviewed my spouse did not know the actual date of the next ceremony but thought it would be the end of November or beginning of December.
As it happened, spouse got a phone call from the USCIS FO on Wednesday 11/16 offering him a space at the 11/22 ceremony or the next one (maybe 12/6 - can't recall). We are traveling out of country over the holidays so he asked for the soonest possible ceremony. The hard copy letter arrived on 11/21. As of that day, there was still no uploaded oath ceremony letter.
