  1. Really sorry to hear this long delay for you. Have you emailed them to see hat's up? Was he approved at interview or given 221g? Get your Senator or congressman involved.

No my husband was not given a 221g slip nor did they say if he was approved or not. At the end of the interview CO told my husband your case needs more work you'll get your passport back within a month. I've emailed them but they did not reply. If I'm not mistaken your senator can't do anything about AP review correct? Because the standard email they usually send out says there's no waiver. It's 5 weeks later and still no update on my husbands case. Any suggestions?

  2. Ladies. AllhumdulilAllah you guys have made this far. Just hang in there, soon families will unite together.

Are we forgetting the wait of priority date and cut off date? Chill. The way AllhumdulilAllah we got thorugh that aggonizing duration/stage, this will soon end. And a new journey will also begin.

I wmhave yet bot been able to try the ceas website cause I'm on my way home, I will check once I reach home and update.

Good luck to all AP Group.

Thanks Asad for the ever calming words. You're always a go to person for this. You hang in there too ?

  3. ok, sounds like a system error then. I am pretty sure I would also get the generated response when i do get it. For you I would see what the second email says and get a clue. I am hopeful that you will get the good news within 2 months. Were all stuck in the same boat where we cant see the island ugh.

I wish they wouldn't have given us a time frame. It would've been better to cope with. I waited for a month to be over to know that I got more waiting to do. Eff this whole process. It makes you lose sanity. I don't mind waiting but I just need to know what I'm waiting for you know. Btw did you get my message in your inbox? Yeah I'm hoping I get a reply. Most people don't even get a reply back. Which I think is #######
  4. No girl! no response yet but it says they could take up to 5 business days. what Im worried about now is that I cant even check my case status, its showing an error when I try to check it. Ughhh these people seriously....Did you try to inquire at all?

Yeah I sent them an email two days ago and nothing yet either. Also I've been trying to see my status for hours now and it's also giving me an error. When my husband had his interview last month I emailed them the next day and they said he's in AP review it was a generated response. Then we emailed them two days ago and haven't heard anything back. It's seriously frustrating. I wish they could make this whole process easier on families.

  5. Hey everyone just checking in after a long time. A month ago July 19th was my husbands interview and we got placed in AP. We were told that we will have our passport back within a month. Its been a month for us and not even a single update on our case. Its really agonizing :( anyways congrats to everyone who got approved and congrats to those with case complete and interview dates. And good luck to everyone in AP, hang in there our day will come InshAllah

  6. Lol, thats funny! Yes they are usually very serious and that doesn't help at all. My husband actually asked him (the white guy speaking urdu) so two months? and he replied yes 1 - 2 months. But damn all I can do is pray and stay hopeful, the thing is my first petition was actually denied at USCIS because they said we never sent them the NIkah Nama, can you believe that ugh!! Then i filed again and the second time around they approved it in four months and every thing was quite fast after; then he got his first interview few days ago. SO they have already delayed our case and now this. SO freaking annoying I tell ya but what can you do, u know. Sorry for the whole story but yea lol

Hey Sarah did the embassy email you back about your inquiry? The CO told my husband to wait a month and it's been a month for us but no news yet. Inshallah we will all get out of AP.

  7. Hello,

I am new to this; my husband had his interview yesterday, the interview went well but at the end the CO told him that he will get an answer in a month or two. My husband again asked him so 2 months? he said yes 1 to 2 months. He was handed the white slip 221g and they also kept his passport. Would anyone be kind enough to possibly give me some answers as to what that means? Does it mean he is stuck in AP for a long time like some cases. Any help would be highly appreciated.

The white slip is the AP slip. We were told a month and it's been a month for us but no news yet. So I honestly can't can't say how long it takes. It really depends case to case. I've seen people get their visa within a month some within two months and some are still waiting. I wish there was an answer but there really isn't. We haven't even recieved any updates on my husbands case since the interview last month on July 19th. Hang in there inshallah we'll all get out of AP review

  8. That actually seems identical match like my case, i have a major issues with memorizing dates, you can't believe i made small notes for my nikah dates and my wife's trips of usa, she is also a green card holder and NVC also lost our case somewhere when they use to respond your case is with the supervisor you need to wait, but i did not have to send the documents again, after 8 months of delay they sent me the package (Via e mail) Then for no reason a checklist came to send the english translation of my Nikah nama which i did sent at the first place. I was so nervous regarding the dates but he did not ask any specific dates, he did got shocked to see my wife's nephew in on of the picture asking who is this kid, i said its our nephew, the worst thing at the end of the interview was (one he did not tell me to wait for a month or any timeline,) second i asked him do you want me to be happy or wait to be happy, he replied in a serious manner, WAIT TO BE HAPPY, :( but i discussed it with the guy from the embassy, he said this is normal, the AP process is not in the CO hand, they system notifies them and they can't overrule it,

InshahAllah i am very positive about both of us as our case is straight forward, we have not hid or lied about anything, they will definitely check / do a verification from where your husband lives and works, My father in law when he had his case in AP was working in UFONE and they verified from the HR department, My organization's HR department has also confirmed that they usually receive verification calls from different embassies.

I am very hopeful when ill be updating my status that i have received the VISA, you will be replying from USA while your husband would be sitting next to you playing with the kids.

    Prayers for your family.

    Regards,

Oh good God. That makes me feel so much better that it has nothing to do with the CO because I was yelling at my husband that he's not charming lol. I really hate this whole

AP thing. It looks like mostly people from Pakistan get stuck in here. I was on another forum and people from Canada Germany India I mean any country besides Pakistan just get approved. It's so nerve wrecking. My husband didn't want to mess up so he had a translator. Both the CO and the translator told my husband you'll get your passport back within a month through American Express. When my husband came back from the interview I told him stop making up dates tell me exactly what they said. He kept saying they told me a month believe me. Lol. I was really hard on him. I literally wrote my husband a book. 6 pages of notes of our history together. The dates I came back and forth with proof of entry stamps. I gave him pictures to take too. He said he put everything on the counter and the CO said someone looks prepared. He said the CO did not even ask for the kids birth certificate. I had my sons birth certificate priority mailed to him. I did put everything on the application though. But I assumed they would've wanted to see their birth certificate. They didn't even ask for updated tax transcripts. Im trying to be so positive because like you said the case is straightforward there's nothing to hide. But the wait is just dreading. It was easier when I was doing a bachelors but now I'm in a doctorate program I think I'll be dead by the time my husband gets here. It's so stressful. I hope and pray to Allah you're with your wife and this delicate time. It's such an emotional termoil. Does your wife work or is she staying at home nowadays? I'm a labor and delivery nurse. Finally back in school for my doctorate in anesthesia. ?

  9. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx Have you checked your case status from this link, I think when the CO said we need to do some work he meant AP, this site might have confirm that. We have been married for three years, applied 2.4 years back, Unusual delay at the NVC first stopped us from planning a baby because we wanted to get settled in USA first and then have a newborn, but after 2 years of our married we finally decided let the lil one come to the world, then suddenly my case was approved from NVC and sent to embassy, i received the email for scheduling of interview in May 2016, My wife has just left back on the 6th August and now keeps on crying everyday on the skype saying you need to be here in November at the time of the delivery.

i understand a women needs the much needed support at the time of pregnancy, delivery and afterwords specially from her husband. I feel for you and your husband. May Allah give you strength and get you both (along with the babies :) ) together soon.

when was his interview as 5 years ap is too long ?

    Regards,

Yeah I check that site religiously just to even see updates but nothing yet. Yeah I know we're in AP but CO told us well get our passport back in a month. So I hope that it is resolved within a month. My husbands interview was on July 19th 2016. So three weeks ago. I applied for my husband 2 1/2 years ago. I didn't do it sooner because we didn't plan on living in the USA. I wanted to move back after I finished my degree. But once I moved there with our daughter she couldn't adjust and that took a really big toll on us. She kept getting sick and it was really hard for me to take care of her. So we decided that we'll try living here. In 2014 I applied for my husband. Our category is F2A because I'm not a citizen. We go by the visa bulletin. So our priority date was current in October last year but we also had some delays at NVC they lost our papers so I had to send them again. In April 2016 we had our case complete and in May our interview was schedule for July. I'm just glad the interview was short and sweet. Nothing extensive as my husband is really bad at memorizing dates lol. Now I'm just waiting for the 19th of this month to see if we get any good news. I've read on the other forum that people who were told to also wait a month got their visa issues 6 weeks later. So inshallah we will get our approval too. I'm hoping you make it for your child's birth. It's so important to be united with our loved ones. It's the hardest thing raising kids without their father. And it's also difficult on the father to not being able to hold their first born or even so their new born. My husband said its the hardest thing being away from his kids. I'm currently still in school so managing everything is very difficult for me. I pray to Allah to get us through this difficult time amen ?

  10. The white sheet does not make any difference, its just a formality, but did the CO tell him that they need to do some MORE "ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING"? and this AP is not because of any hitch from the Interview nor from any kind of documents missing, cause if so the CO would have told him like your this this document is missing etc.

This is because the system which they are using notifies them to do an AP, it is not in the CO Hands, and also they cannot refuse the cases as they do not have juridictions, our cases are AllhumdulilAllah received at the embassy with approval.

The only trouble is they delay. We are expecting a baby InshahAllah in November, i just hope i get to hold him when that happens.

    Prayers for you too.

    Regards,

Oh that's good to know. It makes me feel better that the cases are approved. No the CO did not tell him the case needs more administrative processing. The interview was really simple CO asked my husband two questions 1. How do we know each other before our marriage 2. If either of us were ever married before that's it. After that CO told him that we need to do more work on your case you'll get your passport back through American Express in a month. I hope we get approved. We have been married for 5 years and we have two kids together a daughter and our son was born 4 months ago. My husband missed both of our kids birth. So I know the feeling. Inshallah you'll be there for your baby. I'll pray for you.

  11. I am in the gang of AP officially, I had my interview for immigrant visa on 9th August 2016- CO gave me the same sheet with AP incircled.

Lets see what happens, My father inlaw also went through the process in 2010 of AP, but he got his visa after 30 days, lets hope the same case is with me.

    Good Luck to everyone.

    Regards,

Hey sorry to hear about the AP. Inshallah we'll get through this. My husband was told to wait a month also. But he did not receive a white sheet. CO just said you'll get your passport back within a month. This forum is quite dead most people are responding here

  12. Thank you for your kind words. I am studying computer science at CUNY. and yes hopefully CO will stick to his word. All of them are not bad, especially male CO. My mom was telling me that they were telling every interviewee if they were approving or delaying their case for further processing. I believe You will get your visa in time since you have kids and that makes the case stronger. What city you are at and what's your major?

Nice!! Computer science is hard. I tried taking one class and Java kicked my ###. I'm a labor and delivery nurse and I'm going back to school to get my DNP (doctorate in nursing practice) in anesthesia. I go to university of Maryland school of nursing. ? I feel pretty good about saying that since we're ranked number 6 in the US.

Yeah my husband was interviewed by a male CO. He only asked my husband two questions. He didn't even look at any additional documents. Also he didn't give my husband a white slip 221g. He just said our case needs more work and he'll get his passport back within a month through American Express. So I hope he's right. Also he didn't ask about our kids maybe he looked at the application but he didn't mention anything about them. Inshallah we get out of this soon.

  13. Yes you are right since AP is has no surety of issuence based on updates well we have here 2 ways to check ur case 1 is ceac second one is US EMBASSY abu dhabi portal where u need to enter your case number and it WilL give u the status of ur case it's so far same thing but you can get instruction from this website what to do next I got 221G white sheet and officer marked on us embassy website to check case status even I don't know why he put me on AP normally in UAE they don't put peoples for AP expect Iranians but since I am from Pakistan that's why they put me on AP... god knows what's going on since when you are in AP and how many times u case was updated?

Oh wow that's neat. Islamabad embassy doesn't have that feature on their website. And wow that's terrible you were put into AP for being Pakistani. Inshallah we'll get out of this. My husband has been in AP for three weeks now. He didn't get a white slip the CO told him we need more work on your case it'll take a month and you'll your passport back within a month from American Express. So I hope they stay true to their word. ??

  14. Hi Folks, Great news, my mom's visa was issued on Monday morning Aug 8, the very next business day after her interview on Friday Aug 5.

I am happy and thankful that CO kept his word. Wish every one gets out of this ####### asap. So excited to meet my mom after almost 3 years. Our family is going to be together again. Alhamdulillah. And i don't have to miss some good desi food :dancing:. Posting this late because it was my first day of college so two good memories to remember on Aug 8. I am so happy. Inshallah everyone will be out of this sick Ap.

    CEAC.JPG

Mashallah Mashallah Mashallah. That's so good. I'm glad you're going to get to see your mom. What are you studying by the way? My school doesn't start until the 29th I hope I hear some good news before then. It'll be a month for us next Friday. And the CO told us a month to wait. So hopefully they stick to their word.

  15. hey guys i had my interview on 1st of august and CO told me that further process is required and he placed me on AP and returned my passport after that m checking my case updates everyday on ceac website my case was updated on 3rd, 7th (after email) and today on 9th August... can anyone suggest me after how many updates the chances of visa issurence i know its difficult to say but normally after how many updated chances are higher of issrence

MY CASE WAS updated on Abu dhabi embassy website after 1 week of my interview below are the msgs

Your application for a U.S. immigrant visa is undergoing routine administrative processing. This processing can require from two weeks to several months. As soon as this processing is completed, the Embassy will post a message to this website with further instructions. Please continue to check this website on a regular basis for updates. There is no need for you to write, email, call or fax the Embassy with inqueries on the case, as that will not speed processing.

Last Updated: Monday, August 08, 2016

Honestly there's no way to tell. Some people on here didn't get any update until the day their visa got issued and some people constantly get updates every week for multiple weeks. I wish there was a way to tell. The two people who got issued a visa so far only got an update the day their visa was issued. Also I have a question what do you mean the CEAC website for Abu Dhabi? Isn't there just a general website for everyone? Or does it go by consulates?

  16. It looks smooth if it's approved soon this time, but the history of her case is pretty bad, which i haven't shared on this site. me and my siblings haven't seen her for 2.5 years. She is living alone in khi. It is tough for young kids to live away from their mother , especially for my two younger school going siblings. we had never been away from mom before. How long you have been stuck in the AP for ?

Oh no, I'm glad she got approved though. Kids really do need their mother with them. InshAllah she'll get her visa soon. We haven't been in AP that long (2 week so far) but it feels like forever because we're in the f2A category and it took us 2 1/2 years to get a interview. Also we've been married for 5 years and we have two kids together so its kind of hard waiting for AP to be over. But InshAllah Allah will get us through this. I'm kind of nervous the CO didn't ask my husband to see any proof of marriage or kids. Obviously we put that in our DS260 but he didn't ask to see their birth certificate or anything like that. He just asked my husband two questions and that's it. I'm so worried what's going to happen. I hope we get out of this soon.

  17. My hubby had his interview on aug 1. And he was told that his visa is approved and he will get visa within couple of weeks. I didn't believe it. But he got his visa on aug 4 alhamdulilah. I believe that it was mainly due to the fact that i just had a baby daughter born in june alhamdulilah and CO said that baby and her dad are true copies of each other so she didnt need any more verification. And it could be that being a female, her motherhood love led her to make this decision. She did mention that go on first available flight.

Oh well, i pray for all of you guys to have their visas in hand soon iA.

I am sure that you guys make a lot of duas. What i think that worked for me was reciting astigfhar many times.

MashAllah you got lucky. Me and my husband have two kids together (one of them is 4 years old the other one is 5 months old) and the CO that interviewed him was a man. So no motherhood there but he could've had a fatherhood lol. Anyways we got put into AP. The CO asked my husband two question how we know each other prior to getting married and if either of us were ever married before. Me and hubby have been married for 5 years. Its so hard being away from each other. InshAllah Allah will get us through this. I'm happy it worked out well for you.

  18. Hi everyone, Posting after a long time,it's been more than 2 years but this time it's about my mom.

So sad to see that people are still suffering from this painful AP.

So my mom had her interview this morning 8/5/16 and she told me that interview was smooth and great, they didn't asked for lot of documents.

And she said they congratulated her that they are approving her visa and confirmed the phone no, told her you will get your passport back in 7-8 days form some complex in khi. I am positive about the approval, but don't believe them until the status says approved. Reason for being positive is that they both of them congratulated, officer and the translator. They asked questions about her kids birthdays and their lives in usa, to prove the relationship. they seemed satisfied with the interview, cause that didn't happened when i was there couple of years ago, but some how got approved in 30 days. Right now the status is showing AP, probably it will change to approved on Monday or after. we gonna let it get some updates before contacting them. I hope they will stick to what they have said, but you should not believe them or make any any prior arrangements until the status shows approved. Hope, pray and don't be disappointed by this AP. Everyone will get out this soon. Inshallah

Looks like everything went smooth for your mom. InshAllah she'll get her visa. InshAllah all of us will get out of too. Praying to Allah to show mercy on us during this time. Amen!

  19. my interview was on the 1st of June. the CO told me he has approved the Visa but they need 2 more months to issue the Visa.

i didnt knew about the AP thing as i was not on this Portal at that time.

but now , this AP is driving me crazy....

but hopefull now as JWA2016 has got the Visa now.

lets Pray and be positive, we will get the Visa soon by the grace of GOD.

i have read they perform name checks. but i have never been out of Karachi even still its taking alot of time :(

We were told a month to wait. Our interview was July 19th. But I think they just give out these random wait times to get us off their back. It's so annoying they should do biometrics in advance if this is how they want to treat us. I heard since they get fingerprints on the day of the interview they run those too. But inshallah we will get our visas issued soon. Another person on this forum recieved their visa yesterday. Their interview was June 15th they were told to wait a month. But I'm sure it took extra time because embassy was closed a week in July for Eid and 4th of July.

  20. no. there is no use of emailing them.

they always give standard repy's that the case is under AP.

sick of reading the same answer everytime.

oh wow... congratulations... so happy for you. its good that someone got the Visa on the given time period.

it will not take more than 3 days and you will have your Visa in Hand.

keep us in your prayers and congratulations once again :)

Yeah sick of getting the same answer too. When was your interview.
