Late to the party but in our case, I randomly checked the website and it said our case was approved (4/25/2017). We did not receive our letter until a few days after (I assume it was mailed out the 25th). At least on our case the website was updated in real-time. Now just waiting for my wife's card.
My wife obtained a stamp about a month ago for work confirmation and it was a good idea as her GC extension ends this week. Too close for comfort.
Congrats to everyone else who received approval and good luck to those still pending!

Have people noticed that the website not update even when they received letters? I just want to see if checking the website daily is a reliable source.

I initially scheduled an appointment but unfortunately it was on the day of the blizzard so USCIS was closed... have to find a new time now. Hindsight is that the appointment was greater than a month so maybe it would have been futile anyway. Last few weeks!

Good news that a March VSC applicant has been approved. My wife and I contact USCIS yesterday just to ensure that we didn't miss anything in the mail. Our fear is that an RoE letter got lost somehow but it seems everything is still in process.
Hopefully everything is in order and everything will be processed without any concerns.

Before, a waiting game... now immigration restrictions in the news... VSC is cutting this REAL close!

So I recently checked our application status online. We received the I-751, NoA1, and completed Biometrics. When I used the NoA1/CRI89 EAC number (the I-751 EIC yielded no result), the update says:
"On April 18, 2016, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number EAC***, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by May 18, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."
I assume the message was just not updated and we're pretty much on the waiting game as we're VSC, right? Are others getting a similar prompt when they check their status online? Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks! The trip is in the U.K. So hopefully they should be familiar with it.That is quite correct - Passport, NOA1 letter, and expired GC.

From the past few pages it seems like the VSC has not progressed on any of the April applications.
I do have a quick question: To travel outside the country, are the green card and the letter that states the 1 year extension the only documents needed (of course in addition to the passport of citizenship)? Thank you for the clarification.
For those that have traveled in such a manner, any issues re-entering the country? Thanks!

We got our Biometrics scheduled for the 9th! One step at a time.

I wonder how close Biometrics will be. From what I see on the spreadsheet, ours included, those with NOA1 dates after the 15th haven't been received yet and appointments are being scheduled around the first week of June. A 7-10 day lead time doesn't seem too advance of a notice (obviously everyone will make every effort to make the appointment).
I will keep everyone posted as to when we receive our notice.

I called USCIS and spoke to a Tier2 rep. Unfortunately he can't help me since nothing has been entered on the system. He looked it up using my A#. I said I'm worried I did something wrong and he said if I did, he would have seen a notice of rejection and reason for it. He said no one you can talk to in Vermont. He advised to wait a few more days and see if my check gets cashed. My option is to resend the I-751, cancel the check and re-issue another, then explain on the cover letter that I sent the original application within the time frame and include the USPS proof of delivery. This is just nerve wracking, another waiting game.
Sent 4/11
Received 4/12
Sorry to hear that. I want to say if it was received the 12th, it should have been processed. If you have the time (or nerves) to spare, maybe give it a couple of days? The risk of canceling the check is your packet might be on someone's desk but then it gets delayed if the check does not clear... After 30 days I think they will investigate further.
I am surprised that they even gave you any information before one month mark! They wouldn't transfer me to tier 2 either.
If you're persistent enough they will. Maybe those that I spoke with were just tired of dealing with me. Good luck.

Congratulations everyone! We haven't received our NOA1 yet but we called USCIS and the 2nd tier agent confirmed our application was processed.
Shipped: 4/12
Delivered: 4/15
Date on NOA1: 4/18
It seems VSC is going through the list in a fair sequence. For those interested, when you call USCIS, they have a 1st line of CS, if you explain your concern, they can "escalate" to a USCIS agent who can then do some further investigation. From the numerous times we called, our call-back times varied from 30 min. to 60 min. We've received call backs quite late too, I assume to cover PST (so up to 9PM EST). Good luck everyone!

I have been told that the first case number is pretty much worthless on the status check, you have to wait until you get your biometric apt letter and that is the case number that you can start checking your status online
Would you mind sharing when your packet was delivered and when your check cashed/NOA1 arrived? Apologies I don't think I previously saw it.
-
Do you know when your packet was delivered?Us Brits will roll with "Postie" too Sukie!
Can someone add me to the list? I mailed I-751 (waiver case) to VSC April 14th. Not received anything else yet and no check cashed. But that seems to be the norm right now.....

Posted 4/12 and delivered to VSC on 4/15. Thanks.
-
Hoping to hear about more good news about checks being processed and NOA1 being received! It sounds like they were getting up to the packets delivered up to the 13th yesterday so hopefully they'll process a couple days worth today!
-
I'm eagerly waiting for those whose packets were delivered on or after the 15th to get notice that their checks cleared or NOA1 received! I'm hoping we'll see some of this by tomorrow!
-
It extends the expiration date for one year past the date that the conditional green card would've expired. If your card expires on June 1, 2016, the date your residency expires would be then June 1, 2017.
Thanks for the clear response!

The update table is deceptive as the NOA1 date will not reflect the delay of VSC (as the date we seem to be putting is the delivery date). Just want to note it for any who just looks at it. It seems there was a hold of processing the last 3 weeks of April?
-
I appreciate the feedback. It seems like things are moving. I hope things are being processed and ours will be touched before the end of the week. We shipped on the 12th and it arrived on the 15th. I pray they take care of it by the end of today (being optimistic)!HI, you should be OK, since you file within the window. Your usps tracking receipt is your proof of that. We have a similar situation, I called USCIS last week they told me even if I made a mistake I will be able to resend application or documentation.
Please keep the news of checks being cashed and data being entered! Might try to call USCIS again tomorrow to see if they will have our information in the system!

Following as we're in a similar boat of CGC expiring and still waiting for VSC to process our NOA1...
-
I have a quick question for the community: when you received your 1 year extension from the NOA1(?), did it start from the CGC's expiration date, the date the packet was delivered, or the date the NOA1 was processed? I appreciate confirmations.
-
Hello everyone, quick question: we mailed our I751 and USPS shows that it was received on 04/15. As of today (05/04), USCIS has no record of our application. My wife's CGC expires on 05/07. Will USCIS reject our application if they process it next week (after the 7th) even if tracking shows it was delivered on the 15th of last month? Is USPS tracking enough evidence that it was "FILED" within the 90 day period? I appreciate any clarification or positive thoughts...

My wife got her card a couple days ago and it had tracking so hopefully it's just going through USPS processing. It took about one week from the acceptance date to delivery for us here in NYC (Manhattan).
