  1. Hi Everyone,

I've got a little question to keep us going.

What happens if a country has less applicants on the visa waiting list and moves faster than other countries irrespective of the "rest of the world" category not being current yet?

For example; Is it possible for country A to be current because it has lesser applicants and more visas available while country B and C retrogress because it has more applicants to number of visas available irrespective of the cutoff dates?

    Let's share.

Hi! I think I know what you mean. Are you thinking of moving to a different country and continue your application there? Actually, I have given that a lot of thought too. According to our lawyer, by moving to another country and reapply the petition, the PD will be reset on the date of your "re application", meaning your first PD will be disregarded. So i'm like, might as well wait then.

  2. You will receive a case complete email and now wait for your priority date to be current. Now priority date being process is up to November 8, 2014.

Thank you. So, all F2A visas should wait for priority date to be current. No exemptions, right? our PD is May 2015, so last maybe we will expect the good news around last quarter of the year.

  3. Well here's the problem you have a lawyer. Sorry. Please call NVC it's your case you need to be proactive. Sorry but F*&% what your lawyer says about "waiting". OW and you paid them money to what sit.

No one will ever care more than you about your case. Call NVC now. Come tell us what's up.

Hi, so I followed your advice and called nvc. According to the representative, my case was completed May 9. But visa is unavailable. They are processing November 2014 applications. So we are 6 months behind since we applied May 2015.

  4. Hi, I think that you are in the wrong forum. This forum is for Green Card Holders who are applying for their spouses. You are a U.S. Citizen so you need to be in the other forum. You might get a lot more help that way. The process for green card holders is a little bit different than yours, because our process is dependent on the visa bulletin.

Hi, my husband is green card holder, im the the principal applicant. Thank you.

  5. Current final action date is Nov 2014, so yours one is not current. They are processing ones from Nov 2014 for interview process. The new table of filing dates (Oct 2015 as of June visa bulletin) is just for collecting the documents/fees so that once the priority date becomes current, it's ready for interview process.

    Ohhh right. Thanks, Arken!

  6. Yes, you will need your Case Number on the first page and IIN on the next page. After logging in it shows you the overview on your case.

If it says n/a next to AOS fee (so you see 3 N/A's on that page in total) it is usually a sign for case complete. But even if that's the case you should still call NVC to confirm.

Right! Got it! Assuming my case is now complete, do I have to wait until my priority date becomes current before interview? Thank you :)

  7. Calling NVC won't get you into trouble. They are used to ppl asking for updates ;-)

    As for CEAC:

The CEAC tracker won't give you any info about the progress at this point. I did mean for you to log into the Visa Portal where you can see the status of your payments and all. Does it still say PAID next to AOS Fee or does it say N/A?

Thank you very much that's very helpful. I'll take note on that. Visa portal is the site where it requires receipt number, right?

  8. If you have sent your entire documents to NVC and it has been over 30 days just give them a call and ask if there is an update to your case.

Before you get an interview date they usually inform you that you case is complete and that you are in queue for interview scheduling.

PS: Did you check your status in CEAC?

    Hi Rosegrove,

Thank you for your response. The CEAC status says still "At NVC", but I have a lawyer, his advise is "just wait", so will it jeopardized anything if i directly call NVC?

    Thanks!
