So we are about to mail out the application package for my wife's I-751 and was wondering who should sign the money order for the fees? Would it be ok if I, the US citizen, sign it or would it be a better idea if she signed the money order? Does it make a difference to them?

So I've been searching all over google but I just can't find an answer to this. So as you know, many job applications are now done online and most of these applications won't let you move on without completing all fields required.
So my wife is trying to apply for jobs here in NY and when she puts in her job history, of course it asked for the state in which the job was in. The list includes all the US states of course and then a whole list of other names from all over the world but not one single one is related to the Philippines. Has anyone ever gone through this and how do you get past this? She has some applications in with no problems but the ones that don't list what she needs, she can't complete them.

Are you a citizen of the Philippines? CFO is in the Philippines In the Philippines YOU ARE A FOREIGN NATIONAL
I'm not a citizen of the Philippines but if I lived there then I would be a foreign national of the Philippines. The definition of a foreign National is a person who is not a citizen of the country he or she is LIVING in.

If you did everything as you are NOT a foreign national then your fiancee would be scheduled for PDOS which is the WRONG seminar... your fiancee MUST attend GCP!
It was scheduled on the gcp part of the website

I think CFO just needs to reword that question for that exact reason; it creates too much confusion. I'm pretty sure that question is supposed to ask if the spouse/significant other is from another country. If your fiance were to go to CFO to try and just get the sticker she would be told she needs to go through the seminar first. So therefore you should choose "Yes" for the first question.
That's what I'm thinking. Some of their websites over there are a little confusing on certain things. She already got her email confirmation and set a date. Should we cancel and do it again with the "correct" answer or will we be fine?

You are a USC... so you ARE a foreign national
That's the part I don't understand. The definition of a foreign national is a person who is not a citizen of the country he or she is residing in. It even says that in the United States, a foreign National simply means a person who is a citizen of any country but the United States. These are definitions given all over online. What am I missing here?

Ok thanks. It seems to work on our phones. One more question, it says that if the first two answers are no then she does not need to take the class. I am not a foreign National or a former Philippine citizen so does this mean that she does not have to attend the class? Does she still go to the CFO office for her visa stamp?

So my fiance had her interview and she passed!!! We are on the last step and that is the CFO Seminar. She has all her requirements and ready to go. But the problem is, the Cebu online registration form keeps showing Server Error. The Manila page shows just fine but not Cebu. It does that for both of us even on different days and times. I checked the status of the site and it says it's up and running. How are we going to register for her class if the site page won't show? Can she register on the phone or in person? We are hoping she can take the class in Cebu because she is there now. It would be a pain to go back to Manila again just for the class.

Sadly I do not have an answer , only an opinion and that is that she should be okay two days post, hope you guys have no issues and good luck, our interview is on Sept 27th....so quick once we received the MNL#
I think two days will be ok. I see available options for 27th and 29th as well but hoping to stick with 23rd. Congrats to you two. I see a fellow Misery man lol. I'm from Missouri too but live in NY State now.

They ask to come back cause of that??
Thats annoying
I read that they normally request medical exam one week or more after last day. But we're hoping that it will be done at least by tomorrow which will be two days before the exam. I don't think it will delay anything but it would be nice to know if we can go ahead with the interview if they want her to return later for exam.

My fiance has her interview on Sept 23rd. She flies from CDO to Manila on Monday. Medical on Tuesday then interview on Friday. We ran into a little problem. She normally gets her period on the last week or first week of the month. Well, it's here now. Started on 15th. She says it usually is around 4 days for her so it should be done before Tuesday but I've read that the doctor might request for someone to come back. Even if it's over, they still can tell it was recent. We really don't want to reschedule the interview but I did some research and read something that said that the medical exam can be taken soon after the interview. It will only delay the visa until the results are in.
Is that true? If the doctor request that she comes back later, can she still have her interview and then go back for the exam? We already cancelled one date before and scheduled again. I think we can reschedule one more time without cancelling but we really don't want to if we don't have to.

This happened the day after I sent the last of the copies to her and printed out my final copies. 3 years at my neighborhood an the last 5 months were k1 months and I feel lucky to have completed everything up to those last few steps. I never planned on keeping the stuff on the laptop for reasons like this but this was so unexpected. Even copies of my passport were on there. I want to report that stolen as well even though it's just copies but all info is on there. I do have all clear identify service. Never had any problems before but hopefully it comes in handy now. I'm hoping they just wiped it clean for selling. I did have password on it but have no idea of there skills.

Not sure where to post this or if anyone can help me figure out what to do but my place was broken into and my laptop was stolen. It has all of the K1 files on it. Luckily we are past everything and all that's left is medical and interview but still, that laptop has very sensitive information and government files for the petition. Do I need to contact anyone and let them know what's going on because I don't know what to do. Everything petition related is on there. Has this happened to anyone else? Police report has been filed but I don't know if that is enough.

They will not issue a visa to her if you are delinquent on paying your taxes. If you have a payment schedule set up and are keeping on time with it, you should be alright though. And yes they will want your 2015 tax statement. Its after April 15th, and they are already asking for 2015 returns in interviews.
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm about to get around to filing finally. I have an idea of how much it is and hoping to get it taken care of pretty quickly without payments. It sucks to expect a big return only to realize that nothing was taken out for the entire year!!! Which led to doing major overtime at work to come up with the money to fix it lol.

I am a US citizen and my fiance is in the Philippines. The USCIS received our case on March 28th and we are now waiting for the approval. I have a question about tax return requirements. I have not filed yet this year and I know I will owe some money this year because I accidentally exempted myself last year when I made some changes on my forms (We have online access to it). Last year I had a small return. A little over $100 which is why I made some changes and made the mistake. As far as income requirements, I meet those for my state, NY. 19,000 and I make 30,000. My question is, could I present my last years return or does it specifically have to be this years? We are hoping for approval by Sept and I want to make sure that everything goes well when it comes to the tax return. Will they look down on small returns or owing taxes? I definitely make enough to support her. I just messed up the last two years of returns because I'm new to NY state and its different than my home state of Missouri.

Thanks for all the replies. I went ahead and signed it myself. I didn't think it would matter just as long as they got it and it was the right amount. I made sure I filled it out right and I know the location I'm sending it to. Thanks again.
