  1. Glad to.find some people from Uganda. We are quite concerned as well, when we paid the fees and went online to.schedule appointment, only first available was Jan 11,our papers expire Dec 16. Anyone know what to do? Nairobi embassy seems packed. We didn't know it would be this way. Had plans to return to US before Xmas, hoping all goes well. Note:we r both in ug. I returned to be with him as we process this k1 then go together, God willing. Any help?

Rayneflower, good question, please let someone who's been.there recently help here.

  2. How is every one doing? We r gathering documents, as we wait for case to reach embassy, says in transit when we check case status on nvc website.

On average, I think this year is moving faster then the previous ones. We actually felt like it was too fast...oops. anyway, we r both together in home country until he gets his visa then we travel back together. Good luck to those still in wait n at a distance. I can only imagine.

  3. Case number received by calling nvc. I am the USC but currently with my fiance in home country, Uganda. I decided to call after seeing posts here. To my surprise, the agent said, oohhh, we just received it today...and she read it out to me. Well, I guess after noa2, give it a couple of weeks and call.

Cases are many, u need to care for yourself. No one cares like u do.

    All the best People.

  4. We are both in.Uganda, I am helping him collect everything he will need for the interview. I decided to return and do everything with him until all is set then we go. It will be two.weeks this Tuesday since noa2, so I will call nvc to check if the case number is ready.

As much as I know, after.getting case number, it's us to determine the pace at which the process moves, aside from nvc sending documents to embassy.

Ugandan filers, I wish u the best.
