    Is his category F2A? If yes, then his PD is current already and he should have received his interview date last month or so only. But I'm assuming that you haven't submitted any docs to the NVC or paid any fees since you haven't heard anything from them. You need to give us more info about your case and what steps you have taken thus far for us to help you. And contact NVC on this number +1 (603) 334-0700 ASAP!

    I don't know how I came across this post or if you still in the same situation but I'm from India too. 

    I'm sorry that you are going through this but I wish to tell you that your husband's family is one of a kind and not in a good way. 

    That said, here's something you can do:

    1. Call the local Women's police station. I'm assuming Nagpur has one. 

    2. You say that bribery does the trick sometimes but let me tell you, screaming that you will go to the media will do the trick too. 

    3. If they get violent, fight back! Don't be afraid.

    4. Be smart and devise a plan! I'm sure your in-laws won't figure it out seeing that they probably belong to the stone age. 

    5. You REALLY need to go to the Embassy! I read that you are afraid that they won't help your husband but right now, it's better if one of you can get out instead of both! Once you contact the Embassy officials, your husband can run away from home! Instead of you both trying to run away at the same time and failing, why not try this? 

    6. I'm assuming that you are using a cellphone to post this, then can't you Google some numbers for local domestic shelters? 

    7. The hotel situation is really surprising to me too! After all, you two are married. I don't know how I can help you there.

    Trust me, I'm the same boat as you are! One day, I'm panicking and overthinking things and another day, I'll calm down! The changes in Immigration scares me too! When it comes to Trump, nothing is predictable! ?

    The date is usual but this time, a lot of other factors were involved. One, 28th and 29th were holidays. Two, Trump signing that EO put the immigration offices in a lot of trouble and as result their workload was shifted and increased. Three, retrogression only happens when the number of applicants surpass the number of allocated visas, which is highly unlikely considering the Fiscal Year 2017 has just started and until now the VB was progressing at a consistent pace.

    Is this applicable to India too? My husband is a GC Holder is in India for a month to visit me and is going to return on 10th February. My F2A petition is already in jeopardy but now I'm worried that he won't be able to return too! :crying:

    Don't think like that. We are all in this together. It's going to happen. It's just a matter of time. Sooner or later we will have our dates. There are times when I feel the same way but giving up is not an option. ??

    The average wait for f2a visa is almost 1.5-2 years. They send the 60 day letter to everyone but only give us the date after our PD is current. That's the procedure. And according to your PD, if the Feb 2017 VB moves till 15 April 2015, then the March 2017 VB will be 15 May 2015, if it moves a month, that is. The only thing you can do right now is be patient and check the VB every month. Hopefully you will get your date soon.

    May 2015 but can you tell us the exact date?
