I filed i-130 for my husband. I received the electronic notification stating the case was received March 20th, 2017. My requestion is its been 142days since the case was received. What's usually the processing time?  The petition was sent to the Chicago office.

Got it, her mom was sick. She went to spend time with her. 

Hello, everyone. My mom is a green card holder, left the states October 18th, 2016. She was to return yesterday March 13th from Ghana. Her flight got canceled due to the storm. Next available flight is March 21st which put her out of the 6 months green card travel rule. 

Please, will she be refused entry due to the cancellation of her ticket?

Preparing to mail in my petition for CR1, I have about 500 pages of printed whats app text dating back to 2014. Should I send in just highlighted pages or I have to send all the chats?

No I didn't contact the Senator or congressman to inquire about the denial. What do you mean I should front load? Do you mean I should provide all the evidence I have to provide at the interview when I apply?

Geowrian, thank you for the response. He got denied of the K1 in August.  We weren't married then. We got married in October 2016. How can I officially check why he was denied of the K1? He said the officer didn't believe we would get married with 90 days after entry to the states. 

That's why I posted my question here. Hoping that someone who has experienced my circumstance may be able to guide me.

K1 was denied because the officer didn't think we will get married within 90 days. Two years prior to the K1 being filed,  my partner was denied of a student visa.

Thank you all for your responses. According to the letter given, by the time the case is sent back, our application would be expired.

We were in a relationship two's prior when he applied for the 2 F1 visa's. Marriage had always being on the table but I wanted to wait for a while( since 2010). I have been in US since age 12, am now 31 years. We went to the same primary school when I was young. We reconnected during a night out with old school mates in 2007.

All my friends and key members of my family are here in the state. Therefore I wanted my marriage ceremony to take place here. Getting married in Ghana was never an option for me. However, it obvious that's my only choice

I have visited him 5 times. October will be the 6th time, twice this year. Each visit always lasts 4 to 5 weeks.

We weren't missing any documents. The second interview we provided everything requested from the first interview.

My last question is should I file the marriage pro cress through a lawyer or should I do it myself. What are the right forms to use. Must we have have the same bank account? Currently he's on my life insurance policy at work.

Visa denied August 11th,Am beyond upset.CO think we won't marry within the 90days. official reason for denial is "applicant found ineligible under section 221(G)" don't know what to make of that". What are my options and Next step. FYI my next trip to Ghana is October. We don't have any red flags, expect my fiancée had previously applied for 2 F! visa two years ago and he was denied( could this be a contributing factor).
