  1. Thanks Everyone for your wonderful feedback and advice!! Checking the CEAC website, we are now at "ISSUED" since August 31. Now its another waiting game before it arrives at 2GO..... :clock::clock::clock::clock:

monitor the 2Go tracking site using the UID #. CEAC site is days behind. Ours has been picked up since Friday but status on the US sites haven't been updated. Oddly enough, the passports were sent to North Charsleton, South Carolina and that is why it took longer.

  2. OUCH why so much for the airline ticket!!? Were planning to use Skyscanner -> Vayama also, we plan her flight traveling MNL to LAX its only $419 on EVA airlines, I see also MNL to SFO is only $464 on EVA for flights 7 days advanced purchase, why was your ticket $933/$3800 is she flying first class? This is exactly why we dont plan on booking her flight till we receive notice her visa is ready for pickup at 2GO. As soon as her visa is ready for pickup at 2GO, I'll book her flight for the following Saturday after 7 days.

Because I went through Vayama, I am restricted to stay with the same airlines. Please note that I also have a K2 that is coming as well so my fees are double, as well as my penalty fees for changing airlines. No refund eligibility either. I originally had them both booked 21 days in advance. I paid out over $800 in penalty fees for changing flights. Some airlines charge up to $500 per person, then there is Vayama penalty fees as well. I also had no clue that since I had a K2, their visa's would be sent to N. Charleston, South Carolina to be processed. YES! South Carolina!! Only reason I was able to discover this was because I printed out the shipping document from 2GO and the shipper and address was fully listed.

and she has VISA IN HAND!!

  3. GOOD NEWS! She finally received notice from 2Go about their visa's in transit on 09/02/2016. She called me while I was at work so I went to 2Go and printed up the notification and was surprised to discover that the shipping address was from N. Charleston, South Carolina!! So i looked further into it to discover that after the interview, Thin-Thin's passport and our K2's were sent by diplomatic pouch or courier to be processed in the US! It was shipped from 1101 Redmont Rd, Suite 900, N. Charleston, SC 29406. The shipper name was CGI FEDERAL, INC. Now it makes sense why it took longer than some others. It seems it takes longer when there is a K2 involved. So I wonder if the visa's are coded together that one must have the other? Anyways...... My girls will be here Thursday evening coming into SFO.

  4. I feel your frustration, we've been on 221g AP since the 8th, Hong Kong is dragging this out issuing the police clearance "we shall issue the Certificate and send it directly by registered mail to the relevant Consulate / Immigration Authority / Government Authority within four calendar weeks", they still haven't finished processing it and haven't mailed it to the Manila embassy yet, every time I email them they give what seems to be an automated response saying they are still processing it. Once Hong Kong mails the police clearance, god know how long it will take to deliver or how long it will sit at the embassy before they associate it with our case and finish issuing her visa. I was really hoping my girl would have her visa on hand by now, but seems like this wont happen till end of September or October. If NVC had sent us that hard copy letter OR at least the email, when we requested it then we could have ordered the police clearance weeks before her interview. Since we didnt get the NVC letter till a few days before the interview, my fiance wasn't able to get the police clearance application delivered to Hong Kong till 8 days after the interview. Oh and the funny thing is 40 minutes AFTER my fiance arrived at the interview I finally received the NVC email which we needed in order to mail her HK police clearance request. Government agencies doing what they do best... hurry up and wait!

Now others are getting their visas from the 25th interviews. Never received that damn letter or an email from NVC or the embassy. Fiance never received a packet either. Fiance had her visa listed as "ISSUED" since the 26th, but I noticed K2 stayed as "READY" which I thought was odd or the fact that may not matter since it was the K1 that was the primary. The status stayed that way, then the other day I noticed just the K2 changed to AP for almost one hour then went to issued. The Fiance was only in AP one day prior to the 26th.

Case Creation Date: 22-Aug-2016 Status Updated Date: 26-Aug-2016

So these dates never changed whatsoever. So I kept trying to reach the embassy and kept getting passed around to various voicemails which only began to piss me off even more. So then the fiance finally reached a "consul" at the embassy who did trace the passports and stated that because of the weekend and the Philippine holiday it was "technically" 7 days and not 10 days. She voiced her concern that it's been in "ISSUED" status since the 26th and now everyone else who interviewed afterwards are getting theirs and asked if there was an issue with the delay because her fiance was having to rebook the flight once again. She said the consul simply stated that there was no particular order that they are issued out, but that it was in fact there and 2Go will contact her when they receive it. So now I'm in for $2400 for ticket reservations and now will be required to change once again. Waiting on hold with Vayama which is where I booked the flight originally. Normally takes me about 1 1/2 on hold before I reach a live person. Wonder how much this delay will cost me now? So now I will reschedule AGAIN to the end of the week. The State Department conveniently covers their ### on every loophole. But my question is, why, if they were going to sit us in limbo, don't they change it back to "AP" status instead of leaving it in "ISSUED" status?? She has no wants or warrents, clean NBI and Cenomar. Feeling very frustrated because it seems the system is playing "God" when there is no known viable excuse to delay the issuance when they have stated the visa's are in fact "ISSUED". Just had to rebook for the 8th. If her visa's arent issued prior to that, then She will be having to wait for a month because a one way flight that originally cost me $933.41 has now cost $3800.00

  5. my interview was the 23rd and i was on AP next day . yesterday changed to issued and im picking visa tomorrow. i was reading online that during AP they do some background checks and stuff . but you're still under the 14 business days .

good luck, hope you get your passport soon.

Philippines is a bit different though. why would they background check an 8 year old child? And others are too still awaiting theres as well.

  6. From what I have seen while monitoring Philippines approvals, the visa is ready at 2GO MOA on average 3-7 business days after interview date. If its been more than 10 business days since your interview and still no visa delivery, then I would call the embassy to ask whats the current issue status.

Doug in your case since it changed from READY back to AP and its been 8 business days since your interview, I suggest you or your fiance call the US embassy in Manila to request a status update and tell the rep your status changed from READY back to AP.

Has everyone been checking all the status sites?

the fiance couldn't get through to the embassy. then I made international calls and all they do is forward to different voicemails and then hang up on you. Fiance's has shown as being issued since the 26th. i noticed the K2 spent 1 hour in AP then went to issued yesterday. K1 remained issued since the 26th. with no change in status since then. Have been unable to reach a live person at the embassy. Now I'm pissed off because they are really dragging this out. Ive only seen one person who had their interview on the 22nd receive their visa. Don't know whats going on or how to reach a live person without spending a fortune on international calls.

  7. Also had interview on 08/25 and ours still say "Ready" - case is open. Please check status after two business days, with case creation date and last update of August 26th. I hope we'll get an update soon.

We have no updates either since the 26th. It just states "ISSUED" and there hasn't been any changes. Fiance just noticed that one person posted on K1 VisaJourney about 3 hours ago that she has visa on hand and she had her interview the same very day (22nd). We are very anxious too. This waiting is crazy......

  8. Also had interview on 08/25 and ours still say "Ready" - case is open. Please check status after two business days, with case creation date and last update of August 26th. I hope we'll get an update soon.

Ours was approved the 22nd. it's been showing issued since the 26th (PI time). My K2 was listed listed as ready which I thought was odd. Now about an hour ago it switched to Administrative processing for my K2 and my fiance is issued. It looks like I will have to change flights again and Friday will be a no go..... DAMN!! She is packed and all ready to go but the embassy is slow walking everything now. the last visa's I saw issued were at about 5-7 days.

  9. try checking on the visa status page....same place you checked for nvc progress and the "ready" status. It will go from ready to administrative processing to issued. once issued the embassy site will update

    It has READY

    and...

Your case is open. Please check your status after two business days via the CEAC launch page at https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/. This is what it has been on since Sunday evening our time so I'm trying to give it time.

  10. No status change other than it saying "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate". It's been that way since the interview she had the 22nd (PI time). If nothing happens by Friday her time, I will be forced to change the flight times. Apparently the 2nd Counsel guy she spoke with was rather an a@@hole to her and she said the interview lasted a 45 minutes. She was surprised at how difficult the guy actually was. Just wonder if now this guy will have the process slow walked? The guy was surprised she was able to answer everything confidently and had a response for everything. She apparently knew far more than he did.

  11. I've been monitoring status as we had our interview a few hours ago. Haven't heard from Thin-Thin yet, But I saw the status change online from immigrant to non-immigrant and the dates changed. So I know she passed!! She can't call me me yet as she left her cell at her brothers house in Malabon.:yes::dance:

Now I'll be sweating the "visa in hand".

Wishing all of you whom are awaiting your interviews, the very best!!

  12. Fiance completed the CFO today. Apparently its a 3 hour seminar. I can only imagine what they have to say in there. She already completed her medical yesterday, received her immunizations and all her documentation but had to go back to St Lukes for K2 immunizations and a TB test reading. The amount of time it takes to go through a simple examination is crazy. She didn't get home until 9pm and left about 5am to go there. Our loved ones go through quite a bit of hell. It's all about hurry up and wait. But our loved ones in the PI (Philippines) take all of it in stride because its always about the waiting. Even harder on my sweet K2 and she has been a trooper. Next is the interview..... Monday August 22, 2016 is the final obstacle to get here.

  13. I think you could keep calling everyday to inquire about your case? Or ring the USCIS to see what happened? I know this could be very frustrating, but for now, you could tell your fiance to start gathering her documents (for the interview) as everything will move so fast once you receive your case number!

    Keep faith! :)

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND YOUR FIANCEE!!! :)

I'm interviewing tomorrow with no NVC letter and your post has relieved me from my worries!!!

Feeling relieved since the email likely went to my junk file and may have been deleted. No letter received at all.

  14. Anyone on here have an appointment at 0815 on Monday, August 22nd? Fiance said she came across one whom has an appointment an hour before her but everyone else were going through the process to go to other countries other than the US. She said there was hardly any K1's at all there. She was surprised.

Still no NVC letter and I don't expect to see one prior to the interview on the 22nd. Hoping that doesn't cause any issues.

  15. Fiance and K2 had to leave at 3:30AM and wade through a flooded area yesterday. No jeepneys available but finally found a taxi to St Lukes. Took all day and they were very tired and hungry. She said she couldn't leave to go eat or their file would be put on the bottom. So they endured through the day. They were instructed to come back on Wednesday for shots after the CFO seminar. They will examine the TB test on K2 as well. Only one weird part is the fiance has to go back tomorrow to see the OB/GYN. The Physician who did the physical said she could find no evidence or trace that my finace has ever had a child. WTH? Are you kidding me? Because there is no evidence of bearing a child, they require her to be further examined by an OB/GYN? All I could say was "You got to be kidding me?" You would think they have capable doctors who know what they are doing at St Lukes. So she has to now have two Physicals. WOW!

Interview is Monday, August 22, 2016 at 0815.

I see it took extra days due to the weekend. Ours is on the 22nd which is a Monday so I'm hoping that by setting it on a Monday, we get it on a Friday. Fingers crossed on getting it by Friday. So when is her flight out my friend?

  17. Wishing all those who have interviewed a huge CONGRATULATIONS!! Especially my fellow filers from the Philippines! I also wish those who will be soon interviewing the very best well wishes that we all pass with flying colors. For those who have been delayed, please remain positive as this wait will soon be over.

For those with loved ones in the PI (Philippines), there is some serious rain going on right now as it's fully into "rainy season" and a lot of flooding going on. It looks like our loved ones will be having to stand out in the rain for their medicals and interviews this next week Rain and thunderstorms all the way through the 22nd. It's going to be difficult for our loved ones out in this weather. If you're familiar with "rainy season" as I am in the Phiippines, it is NOT fun. Be positive, encouraging and remind your loved ones this is soon behind us and the "wait" will be over.

  18. I am happy to see my peers moving forward, especially those from the Philippines. It is so disheartening, however, when our NOA2 from July 07 still hasn't reached NVC. Can anybody share some encouraging words and some insight on the situation at NVC? Are there other April filers still waiting or are we the last of them?

I would think that the NVC received your file by now. That's very odd and I would follow up on that on Monday with the USCIS and call the NVC every day.

  19. hi.. I thought im the last one from april filers who are still waiting for the nvc letter.. anyway we received our noa 2 last aug 2.. so we can start calling nvc next week.. i also tried to send them a letter of inquiry about my case.. i hope we can get our mcn numbers soon..

We still haven't received our NVC letter yet either and according to the NVC because I have an email on record, I will only receive an email. Why does it take so long for a letter or an email to be sent out? I got chewed out for us making an appointment for August 22nd by some NVC employee. She stated I had no business booking an appointment until I received my notification from NVC. If they are only emailing, I would think it would be auto generated or sent out by whomever generated the actual MNL # or when it was forwarded to Manila. And it's already been posted on here that the NVC letter actually is issued out of New Hampshire. I'm a bit frustrated on this.... If no letter is received in time for the interview, what can I substitute in it's place. Interview was booked, appointment letter already copied in duplicate, CENOMAR, NBI in hand, medical at St Luke and CFO to be completed this week. Interview is on the 22nd.
