  1. we had to do police more than one clearance because of this too.  If it says its only good for a few months, if I were you I would do it again, because they will want it when they make your appointment for interview. If you don't have it they will give you a letter giving you time but you don't want that to happen because when you are put in the holding process for any documents to be finished, it could take some time for them to get back to your case. Also if you can get your medical done, but you have to find out what hospitals the embassy uses.

  2. If I were u I would email the embassy or call. I never had luck with the call but I did with email. I was able to move our case a long a bit with an email once a week. Even if they tell you the same info each week. But start with asking them why it says ready and not AP.  It actually sounds like an error on their end. But start emailing them weekly.

No mine was in AP for a long time. Then when it said Ready, it was ready quickly. I was told by our lawyer Ready meant nothing had to be done on my end, it would be mailed or my fiance would get a call to pick it up shortly after.. For us it was maybe a week after it said ready he got a call to come get it. But when we got the AP paper it was in AP status online for a long time. SO there is something going on. I no its so hard. Hang in there.

  3. i was told you can call and check on the progress after 30 days. For us it didn't take 30 days to hear from the Embassy. It doesn't take that long but they always say it could take a long time.

All I would recommend is practicing for the interview,  and make sure you are prepared. Do you already have the police clearence needed? If not you can get that done now. Hope this helps

  4. Hello there,

This is the first time asking a question, I actually became a member on  here a long while ago when I was doing all the learning I could, and I realize out of all info this is the place to come! Nothing like helping each other when you can't get the answers...

My question is for anyone that has experience with what me and my fiance are going through. He went to his interview 90 days ago. Means they made the appointment for his interview and we were not able to pick the date, we had not enough time to get him all the way in Sri Lanka the original tax documents from the sponsor and in our case the co sponsor. So when they asked us for the originals the interviewer said the quicker we get it in the quicker they will process it.

Then he was given a paper that stated we would be put in the "administrative processing".. I had studied this term and was very bummed that is the way they handled it. But none the less I fed ex him the documents and he was able to get them in within the next week.

I have a progressive illness so we email for an update every few weeks. They continue to say they are taking my illness in consideration with their processing time but there is no set time for them to give us. And if they need anything else from us they will let us no, but if not he will get a call when it is ready to be picked up (the visa)

Anyone have experience with this? Just having a missing document and getting it right in, how long did it take? Or how long have you been waiting? We are going bonkers. Both our lives are put on hold till this is finished. Our process has taken forever. But until no I no why...

    HELP PLEASE!!

Thank you in advance!! Kim and Krishan..
