  1. Had the same problem in Chicago just couple weeks before you. Basically, the lady at the front desk said we have to receive GC before getting an ID! This is ridicilous! So my husband is supposed to go on without a car for nobody knows how long? And recently he got his EAD. So he can have a job but not drive? Or just have an ID?

We are planning to go to another location in Chicago with EAD this time and the requirements form from cyberdriveillinois.com with all the documents we have highlighted. If this doesn't work we will have to try suburbs locations.

  2. Hi everyone,

I am so happy to see how fast many cases are moving to interviews!

I am myself kinda behind on the process. I got RFE for one unchecked box on the petition and couldn't send a response fast because I was actually abroad with my fiance.

Now that I am back to the US I looked at the papers.

Do I need to remove page to where they just explain what an rfe is? Also I am confused with the envelope is it pre-paid or not? Do you just put a regular stanp or are there something I can do for it to be delivered faster than through regular mail box?

  3. I think you'll be ok.

I had my director sign a letter that I wrote. In the letter I documented where I worked, the nature of my work, the fact that it was a full time permanent position, and my annual salary. There is a notary public where I work, so we had it notarized. I included that letter, every pay stub for 2016 and my federal tax transcript that I had the IRS sent me. I really believe this will be enough... the interview is this Friday, so I will let you know how it goes.

    Thanks for your reply!

    Good luck at the interview!

  4. Hello everyone,

I need to get a verification of employment letter to accompany I-134 form at K1 visa interview and further for AOS purposes for my significant other. I work at a university and they have their own verification of employment system that would generate a pdf form with pay information and history of employment. However, it does not have any signature. I attached it below.

So I talked with HR person and she referred me back to this system even though I have described to her which form the letter should be from what I have found online with a signature: "To whom it may concern: (first name, last name) has been employed

full-time with the XYZ Company since 200_ as a (name of your job), and is an employee in good standing with an
annual salary of $XXXX. Signed, John Doe, Supervisor (or whatever title)".

I will talk with my actual boss as well, however I am not sure if he is authorized to write such a letter because he isn't my employer, the university is. If he says no I am only left with w

Has anyone else had this? Is the format of the pdf from suitable for I-134 purposes?

  5. I'm going to visit my SO in about 6 weeks and I will be there for almost month and a half. Hopefully we all get our NOA2's before we go!

I'm obsessed with looking at the current day they are processing too.....it wrnt from the 10th of March back to the 9th. I dont know what info these times are based on....some VJ march filers may have had their noa2 and not updated their timelines....you know busy celebrating ?????

Has anyone got any plans of visiting their partners? My fiance (petitioner) is coming to England for 2 weeks in 2 months and I'm so excited, I havent seen him since December.....hopefully we hear about the NOA2 before he gets here! ✌✌✌✌

  6. I am in the same boat. I just graduated in December 2015 and I only made 9k that year. I got a job right away when I graduated, but the salary was not so good, about 1400 a month. Right now I have been promoted to a position making about 33k a year, so I guess it should be fine. However, I'm still pretty nervous about this whole thing and still thinking about a co-sponsor.

I mean, they probably get a lot of cases with situations like these where petitioner was a student, so guess they should be understandable of that. But on the other hand who knows...

  7. Can anyone tell me if they were able to track their casestatus through the website egov.uscis.gov or the app using the the case number on the NOA1 yet??

We're confused because everytime we try they say there is an error.

I think that may be if they forwarded the package to another service center.

I can't access my case status as well, but I think it is because it was forwarded to CSC. It's been only two days after NOA1 for me.
