  1. I just wanted everyone to know that I got my interview date scheduled for November 29th!!

I am SO EXCITED, but also really nervous!!

Anyone who has done their interview recently, any tips?

    What did you bring?

I was thinking about bringing some evidence that proves our relationship was bonafide while we were dating, leading up until we got married, up until this present day?

Pictures, chat logs, receipts, joint credit card accounts, gym membership..

We live at home with his mother right now, while we are saving up a down payment for a house.

Should we get her to sign a letter stating that I live with them, type of thing?

I'm also on his Health insurance, car insurance and the family phone plan.

If anyone could give me ANY advice, I'd appreciate it sincerely!!

Happy for you my friend, my local office is also Buffalo, NY. Processing times shows they are still processing cases through Februrary 28, 2016. They received my RFIE response on March 17. Can you tell me when did you file i-485? I am worried about my case as i haven't received interview notice yet.

  2. Hi All,

My case status has not been updated since March 17, 2016 from Response to RFE received. My PD is current since past two Visa bulletins and i have not heard anything from field office nor received any interview notice or Online case status update. :crying:

Does anyone here has similar experience? Please share as i am starting to get too worried about my I-485.

FYI - i am adjusting from F1 based on marriage to LPR. Already approved EAD+AP combo and I-130.

    Thanks.

  3. You should always include most recent 3 month paystubs from the primary sponsor (regardless of old/new jobs). It would also be a great idea to include employment verification letter/offer letter from your husband's current employer detailing the current annual income he is working on.

To answer your other question, i don't think it is advisable to include student worker income if it is less than USCIS poverty guidelines unless otherwise you are planning to use intending immigrant's (you in this case) income too.

    Hope this helps.

  4. I don't know. And I don't know how to tell if ours is still at the NBC, or if it's been moved to OKC. OKC hasn't updated their status in months. It's showing they're working on cases from November 2015, and it's been like that since at least April. This is so frustrating!

Well, let's see if some members on this forum can help us out. My lawyer says that the field office won't send out interview notice unless the PD is current. As per October 2016 bulletin, my PD is current. I am waiting to find out if what my lawyer said is true.

  5. USCIS received response to my RFE on March 17, 2016 (Updated on their website). I received combo EAD + AP almost 10 days later. Since then, my case status shows RFE response received and it has almost six months i have not received either interview notice or case status update. My local office is Buffalo, NY and it is processing cases till Feb 10, 2016 as of June 30 while i filed on 25th January 2016. I'm getting worried now and i've received no real help or insights till now on this forum regarding this.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  6. Guys, I'm confused. When you get an initial evidence RFE I understand everything is placed on hold. About the timeframe or "clock", does getting an initial RFE take you back to day 1? Or does your "clock" start back again? We applied in March, got the initial RFE April(birth cert), sent it back and case updated to "response recieved" in June. Already got the EAD approval a few days after the response updated.

Should I base our local office processing timeframe using a June or March acceptance/date? Or will processing not resume til the response is officially accepted? Hope I made sense!

I am in the same boat. National Benefits Center received IRFE response on March 17, 2016. EAD and AP approved within 10 days of response. More than 3 months has passed and still waiting for case status to change from response review.

Haven't yet received a clear answer on this forum from anyone regarding this issue. Maybe the response is going to change when the PD becomes current but i don't know.

  7. Hi All,

I filed my petition I-485 on January 22, 2016, I-130 approved December (2014) (married to LPR) adjusting status from F-1 (Currently on OPT extension).

I received RFIE for original birth certificate as i only submitted certified english translation (They asked for home country foreign language certificate).

USCIS received my RFE response on March 17th, and my EAD/AP was approved within 10-days (Already received the combo card :dancing: )

I'm worried about my RFE on I-485 now as there has not been any movement since RFE response (Website still shows - RFE response review).

Can anyone here tell me approximate timeline after RFE response - how long does it take for USCIS to schedule an interview? (My priority date is 22 Dec 2015)

    Thanks!
