  1. Hi All! I have been MIA for a while, but I have been following this thread. Let me tell you how things 'unfolded' for me...so after I went to my fingerprints appointment on May 10th, I hadn't heard ANYTHING from the USCIS. The website shows all three cases last updated on April 18th - ridiculousness at the fullest!
Anywho, I decided to call the USCIS yesterday and of course they were not very helpful and told me to wait till June 28th and call them if I do not hear anything by then. So, much like what happened to ckibs - today MIRACULOUSLY my EAD/AP cases got updated saying that my card is in production (nothing on my I-485 though - ugh!). IT WAS ABOUT TIME!!! I am so relieved and a little angry that I had to call them to make this happen! However, I am trying to focus on the positive side of things - I will finally be able to get a driving license, change my name, find a job and become a member of society again!

Again - I am in Alaska, so I bet it will take more than two weeks for me to have my card in the mail, but oh well - at least the weather is nice and sunny! :)

Best of luck to you all! I hope you all have similar news (without having to call the USCIS) soon!

  2. Yaaay for Da&De!!! I am so happy for you and I hope everything goes smoothly and fast from now on.

I, being the silly person I am, forgot to bring my marriage certificate to my bio appointment (in my defence-it was not on the list with required documentation needed, although for a second there is though I might need it), so I had to go back the next day - everyone at the ASC was very friendly and polite and did not give me any hard time and just told me to go whenever the next day. At the appointment itself everything went very quickly and smoothly.

Can anyone share when did they hear anything from the USCIS after they did their biometrics? I'm just wondering when to expect anything (hopefully not an RFE)

  3. Oh, that sucks big time, ckibs! I hope it doesn't slow down the process too much!

We didn't include 2015 tax returns because we also filed before April 15th, but we needed a co-sponsor. We used my mother-in-law and she already had her 2015 tax return, so we used that, then my husband's 2012-2013-2014, so I was happy when you said you didn't include 2015 in your package, because it makes sense... Apparently not to the right people, though!

  4. Hello everyone I made a different topic with little replies not seeing there was a whole thread for April AOS filers! Everything got delivered April 18th and we still have not gotten a text/email nor have they taken the money. Is this normal you guys??

We never got any email/text notifications whatsoever and we got everything in the mail and still no electronic notifications. It is so upsetting because it keeps you waiting and hoping and gets so frustrating when nothing happens! I don't know when they cashed our check though, so may be my reply is not very helpful but I just wanted to say that not receiving email updates seems to be pretty common. Try not to worry and be patient :)

  5. I just called the post office and there is a letter from the Department of Homeland Security waiting for me there - THAT IS IT, right?? I can't wait till the end of the day to go!! haha I feel like such a kid on Christmas!!

Thats probably it!! :-) you give me hope that tomorrow i will receive my letter too!

Just out of curiosity - how do you get to speak to someone? I tried calling yesterday and all I get to is the info I can see online and I can't figure out how to speak to someone..

I will post as soon as I know for sure what it is! :)) Fingers crossed you get yours tomorrow!! :))

My Fingerprint fee was received April 6th. Ask at the USCIS office today if they sent the biometrics letter and they said they did not even put my case in the system...No letter sent.

  7. Here's my timeline:

03/22/2016 - Sent in the AOS packet

    03/28/2016 - Packet was received

04/01/2016 - Official Notice Date on hardcopy

04/04/2016 - Received NOA1s by text and email

    04/09/2016 - Received hardcopy NOA1s

    04/15/2016 - Received Biometrics letter

    04/26/2016 - Biometrics Appointment @ 10 AM

My cases haven't been updated on the USCIS site since the 4th of April which is the day I got my e-mail and text notifications. I don't think it will update until after the appointment and/or until my EAD/AP are approved/ready to be issued. That's at least what I can gather from what others are writing on this forum.

Thanks so much for sharing this! We have the same timeline, so you receiving you biometrics appointment makes me excited, but a little worried, that I haven't gotten mine yet...anywho - focusing on the positive - fingers crossed for everything to go smoothly and I am waiting to hear about your guys' appointment! :)

  8. Hello, everyone! I should technically be in the March filers, but the 'action' is happening in April, so i have been following this thread. It is is exciting to hear that some of you guys already have received your biometrics letters, so i have a question for you :) does your USCIC case updates before/when you got your biometrics letter? I live in Alaska so everything takes forever to get here haha

I dont know if you can see my timeline, but here it is for the AOS so far:

    3/22 - sent AOS/EAD/AP packet

    3/28 - received by USCIS

4/04 - got NOAs for all three with receipt numbers

Now, we did submit G-1145 for all three, but we never got an email or a text, but from what i have been reading on here, that is not uncommon.

Thanks and good luck to everyone - we're all in the same boat haha
