I just called USCIS to inquire about our status (another April VSC filer), and what they told me supports what was said earlier in the thread. VSC is currently working through November 2015 cases. The person I spoke with said to expect another 5 months. When I asked about what happens as we get closer to the end of the 1-year conditional status extension I was told that I should go to our local field office to get another extension.

How long between the check being cashed and receiving the noa? Question for anyone else who's received theirs too

I'm confused, you mean you got the NOA notice today but it was dated 4/11? Or something else?
Our check was cashed today too, sent 4/11 received 4/13. One thing to look out for, they don't actually cash your check, they use the routing details on it to make a direct debit. It'll show up as Preauthorized Debit - VSC FIELD OFFIC in your online banking.
NOA1 received today and dated 4/11/2016.
It's a little confusing but to keep it consistent I used the date per the legend at the bottom of the tracker.
NOA Date = The Receipt Date on your original NOA letter.

VSC funds cleared today. Hopefully this will help us get the I-551 stamp on Friday.

I know. I thought h-1b was choking VCS but It wasn't. I checked 2015, and 2014 April thread and most of the applicant was receiving NOA1 within 1-2 weeks. I hope VCS is not dumping cases to CSC.
VSC seems to have been pretty slow last year as well. Per this sample post from the 2015 thread, there were people with VSC applications from 4/9/15 still waiting for NOA1s as of 5/6/15.

Maybe it's choking them this year? Don't know why else they've just stopped everything. If I didn't at least get that delivery confirmation, I would have NO proof that I applied and it's like "did I apply or imagine I did". I really hope to get at least noa by end of May cause I don't want to have problems at my workplace. Right now I have NO proof. Showing a delivery receipt won't cut it with employer. And my employer follows all rules and am sure I will get asked.
This is definitely the scary part. I called the National Customer Service Center and told them it had been 28 or 29 days since we mailed in our petition and they said the NOA1 would probably come tomorrow (
) because it is usually within 30 days. I was told to call back if it didn't come on the 30th day and they would help us follow up on the process.30 days for us is on Thursday, GC expires next week, and we have an Infopass appointment on Friday. I hope our application materials and the tracking number showing delivery will be enough.

To all the those April filers who got extension letters in April but have expiring GCs in May, we are in the same situation so I called USCIS this morning and spoke to a Level 2 representative. They said the one year extension is from the date the GC expires, not the date of the extension letter. That should give everyone looking trying to get infopass appointments a bit more time.
In other news, we got our letter of approval this afternoon. There really does seem to be some good movement for April filers.
