My fiance and I are working on applying for a K1 Visa right now. I'm American and he lives in England. He's planning on coming here and we're wanting to settle down and live here. We're pretty confident on all the requirements except for the financial requirement. I live with my parents. I do work but I have a pretty low salary. However, he comes from a very rich family and has a lot of money in a few different accounts. He has more than enough money to support both of us comfortably for a number of years. I can't support him but he can definitely support the both of us. Will they accept that as proof of financial stability or do I need to be making enough money to support us?
I can't find the answer anywhere! Every google search just brings up the same thing I keep reading: the sponsor needs to be providing the money. But if he has so much money, it wouldn't make sense for us to be denied because I don't have a lot of money. Please tell me I'm freaking out for nothing and they'll accept the proof that he has money!
