Today  I am November 18 filer and I got ROC got approved today.

    Lesson:

    1. This is a painful journey. have patience! it might take 13 months to 19 months.

    2. This is what I learned, sending 500 pages of evidences dont work in ROC. send minimal but make sure you are sending solid evidences. like bank statement, tax file, State ID with same address for both. insurance and having baby is big advantage. I sent only 40 pages. if you send them 500 page, they may or may  not review all the pages that you are sending. if  they review all the pages then it will take long time and it will create doubt when officer will review. Officer might ask for face to face interview.

    3. Review  your  application couple of times before you send it. make sure you are sending the right amount.

    4. send pictures like 15 to 20 with description. dont send them albums. They are not interested.

if you are paying tax and did not commit any crime. you will be fine.

Good luck... it's a long journey.

    Congratulations to you!

I sent my package on 12/30/2019, and it has just been delivered today, my greencard will expire on 1/12/2020. I know I should have sent it earlier, but my window to file was November 13, 2019. I gave birth to my first child on November 17, so November and December was really crazy for me. I barely had time to prepare the paperwork. I’m hoping and praying that there won’t be any problems with my paperwork. Though, me and my husband doubts ourselves if we really signed the document, hoping we did.

New EAD card is being produced! So happy, it seems that the RFIE for AOS did not delay us.

We filed on November 2nd and it was received by USCIS on November 7nth.

I'm happy for you! Congratulations... Well it only means that they are now working on November filers and hopefully will start on December filers, I belong to December filer and just checked the progress for November filers and I'm so glad that there's progress for you.

  3. I FedEx'd mine to the same address. It does not take longer than the USPS address. Most ppl get their NOA1´s within 2-4 weeks and after 30 days you can inquire to USCIS, but you have no reason to worry yet. Hang in there :)

Thank you for your reply, we will just wait for them to give us NOA1. I hope she will allow her to stay since we are already married and we have already sent the package for the adjustment.

I sent mine Nov 21st, arrived on the 26th, and check got cashed on Dec 2nd, but still no NOA1, so hang in there!

Thank you! You are 1 week ahead of us so it gives us more comfort now, maybe they really have a lot of papers to process

  4. It appears that you mailed it to the correct address for UPS. We mailed ours USPS. My husband's I-94 expired 10/9/16. We sent in his Aos 11/17/16 and our NOA1 is 12/7/16. You do not need to worry about being out of status or illegal. It is forgiven. In the November AOS filers thread there are some who mailed theirs on November 23, 2016 that still do not have NOA1. I don't think you have any worries at this point. It is taking at least 2-3 weeks.

Thank you for your reply, this will give her comfort. We will just wait patiently for the check to clear. Waiting now is easier compared when we were far from each other.

  5. My wife arrived here last October 8, 2016 in K1 visa, we got married Oct 18, and filed for I-485 and the EAD, we sent the package on December 1 and was received December 6, somebody signed it, though before it was delivered, UPS said in tracking address is not complete and they are trying to fix the address, we copied the address in USCIS website in Chicago and after a few minutes it was delivered and somebody signed it. Its been almost a week and the check hasn't been cleared yet so my wife and I are both worried if it was really delivered to this address:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

    Attn: FBAS
    131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor

    Chicago, IL 60603-5517

or if it was, then why is it still not cleared?

Anyone experienced this? My wife's 1-94 is up to January 7, 2017. She's starting to worry because she doesn't want to stay here illegally.

  6. It is annoying and frustrating. I was only in AP for a couple days back when I was getting my visa and I was (still) worried then. I've known people to be in AP for 3 or 6 months and some a year! Try giving them a call perhaps.

We've been calling them, but they always gave us the run-around answer. "We will call you when your visa is ready." So annoying!

When you say you were in administrative processing... Are you referring to a further RFE from the CO? Or were you actually approved at the interview and put in AP after your staus was showing 'ready' on ceac?

We've been approved already! They put AP after ready on ceac.

  7. All you can do is wait, really. It's just a stage that every applicant has to go through . Some get stuck longer, some get their visa faster. If there's anything wrong, they'll tell you.

We understand that, but being stuck in AP for over a month now is so annoying. We wish we know what the reason is as to why it's taking too long to be processed. They have my fiancee's passport with them.

  8. Hello,

This question is specifically for those who have experienced it or are currently experiencing it. My fiancee and I are worried. For those of you that filed from the Philippines and currently stuck in AP, any tips on how to ease the anxiety? We don't really know what the reason as to why it's still stuck in AP. I've read that some people here didn't have to wait that long to get their passports with their visas. Because it's taking so long, we can't help but think that something went wrong. Everything went well at the interview, even the CO said so and we didn't think we had any reason to worry until now. We did everything right, from filing and up to the interview. Is calling the US embassy worth calling about it? Thanks.

  9. Six (6) prepared in the manner described in the K1/K3 AOS Guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

    ~Inquiry about AOS-associated processes, past k1~

When I got my passport photos for the K-1 application, I only got 2 (from U.S.). With that said, is it ok to get a whole new set of photos (most likely with different clothes) or just copy the extra one? Or get a whole new set wearing the same exact clothes?

    Thanks

  10. You do not have to show the messages on the cards/ letters; just photo capture the date and the card was addressed to you and attached any proof of delivery, the airwaybill that states the sender and consignee. I only actually attached photos of cards that I sent to my fiance, photo i used was his FB post when he received the cards and AWB. Did the trick, I sent the card for Valentines day he posted it and there you can capture the timeline from AWB and when he recievd it.

I also included photos of flowers (from my FB post) that he sent me and the AWB that comes with the flowers.

As for emails, expand the address portion, snip only your names/ email addresses and dates. No need to show the entire email.

I only made some screen shots or snip the portion i wanted to show, lay -out in a word file and print with text explaining the photos that follows.

They only ask for proof of communications in a span of time; they are not interested with what we are talking about :)

Front loading is fine during I-129F application but not really necessary; we did that since we were only about 6 months in a relationship then.

Give more efforts in the proofs on meeting in person. Good luck.

So will it be ok to include every email that we've sent to each other from the very beginning until the present or would that be too much? Thanks!

  11. Nope, don't submit them. There have been a few cases here on VJ where the USEM grilled K-1ers who referred to their fiancé(e) as their spouse.

Yeah, thanks Tahoma. We won't be sending them anymore. We'll use a different proof.

    Thanks

Hey, thanks cristina16, you just gave me an idea in regards to the email proofs. We'll be doing that same thing you did. That's good to know. Thanks a lot!

  12. Hello,

For one of our proofs of relationship, we're going to use cards/letters and chats/emails that we sent to one another. My question is this, "Is it ok to use these said proofs even though my fiancé likes to "sign" her name at the end by adding my last name?" I only ask because we both thought that it's adorable (especially me) that she did that. Would it be a big deal to the person who's going to be reading our application? Please note that we added this matter on our letter of how we met. We added the specific date on when she (us) started doing this.

Any quick response would be appreciated as we're getting ready to finalize every documents so that we can finally mail our application by the end of this month (April).

    Thanks so much!

  13. Hello,

I'm guessing these questions are for those who mailed their application this way. My questions are...

    1) What kind of envelope/folder did you use? Manila folder or something else? I definitely want to put it in something where it won't get bend easily.

    2) What kind of tabs (is normal sticky one ok?) did you use?

    3) Did you punch holes on the applications? 2-hole punch? Did you use fasteners? I read somewhere here that ACCU fasteners is recommended.

I know that these are not completely necessary, but I just want to make sure that whomever is going to read our file/application will not have a hard time going back and forth when looking at our stuff because I want everything to go well. I'm not sure if the person will like everything neatly filed before reading or not so I just want to play it safe. Personally, I would want everything to be neatly filed before reading the application.

What is your recommendation(s)? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

  14. Hello,

My fiancee and I started gathering and filling up the paperwork for the K-1 Visa. There's something that we're not sure of, should we include my fiancee's CENOMAR in the application of the I-129F along with the other supporting documents or will she bring it with her on the day of her interview?

Thanks a lot and an immediate response would be much appreciated as we would like to get the application mailed by the end of this month.
