Hello to all I really hope I can get help. My husband had his interview yesterday at the Guatemalan embassy I petitioned for him. Quick back story, I had filed a k1 back in 2013 he got approved and he came Jan 2014 they give you 90 days to get married or else he had to leave. We got married on feb 2014 then when we were gonna file for the AOS his mother got ill and he left. Now we did get married within the 90 days but the officer said to him yesterday that he over stayed. 😭😭😭 left on May 30 2014 and the I-94 said it expired April. He has to go the the Miration office in Guatemala now and they need to see when he left and come back. So my question is was he ok to stay because we got married or did he have to leave before April? We had no idea. Help please anything to get me moving to help him get home. We have a 2 year old daughter together. Thanks in advance. I'm so sad I can't do anything from over here

Hey it took about 3 months. Felt like they moving faster
-
So I have to pay it now? That's for the green card I thought he paid it at the interview

My husband has been scheduled his interview for May 3, 2017! Super excited but a little confused. So it says in the letter that we must register with a cargo express and pay a 165$ fee but it says to pick a date for interview. Thing is we already have it? Also I won't be attending the Interview due to having our 2 children and it's too much to go. Would it affect approval? I'm sending him the originals and I have my taxes and w2 from 2015 and his co sponsors from 2015. Would I need to send taxes from 2016? Just wanna be sure. Kinda nervous that I can't be there I can't really do much but send him EVERYTHING he might need any advice? Thank you in advance!

You are absolutely right! Haha I guess the nerves didn't let me read between the lines. Here's the other page:
We reviewed the Affidavit of Support form and supporting financial documents you submitted. While we will schedule your case for an interview, there is something incomplete or missing. This could affect the Consular Officer's ability to make a decision on your case.
On the attached Affidavit of Support Assessment Letter, we have put an "X" by each item you need to correct.
If your Affidavit of Support form needs correction:
-
Fill out a new form online.
-
Print, sign and send the form to the principal applicant so he or she can take them to the visa
interview. Do not send the updated form to NVC.
If there are supporting documents missing:
Send the missing documents to the principal applicant so he or she can take them to the visa
interview. Do not send the documents to NVC.
After NVC schedules the immigrant visa interview, we will send you an appointment letter with additional details. You do not need to contact NVC or send us additional financial information at this time.

I have someone else since I didn't meet the poverty line. I have them I just want to make sure what they need. I'm Cristal it says the 2015 w2 and that's why it says in the first letter I copied and pasted. It's says that he should take it to the interview and it says to send it to the NVC. That's why I'm confused

Hello everyone! So I received an email from the NVC. It states:
MY NAME :
We reviewed the documents you submitted to us. This letter has a list of documents that are missing or that need additional information. Please review the instructions on the attached pages.
The instructions will ask you to either:
-
Send the missing or corrected items to the applicant so he or she can take them to the visa interview.
-
Send the missing or corrected items to the National Visa Center (NVC) and include a copy of the
Case Number Barcode Cover Sheet. Clearly write your case number GTM00000000 on the upper right-hand corner of every document you send. After you email or mail the requested information, allow us 30 days to review your response. When we complete our review, we will send you information about the next processing step.
Then theres is a barcode sheet then another page that says
financial evidence then it says that it's gonna have a X
The last page says
ASSESSMENT LETTER for Financial Sponsor ____cristal_______________________________
Then it says
You must submit the following financial evidence:
[x] A copy of every W-2 form that relates to your________2015______________Cristal_____________ tax returns. So so does my husband have to have MY W2 or the sponsor w2? Also I sent them in. Am I gonna get a date for an interview or do I have to send this in to get one? Kinda lost any help would be appreciated!!!!

Ok no need to be snippy I'm obviously here because we all have similar cases and or situations... if you don't have any useful information please disregard and save your comments.
-
If I get friend who is self employed what would I need from him?
-
She made enough. Someone was telling me that I needed his W2 also because of the joint filing of their taxes. I'm ready to send everything in but I want to be sure.
-
No kids just them 2
-
It does but since I'm assuming immigration will add her income and she filed with her husband I have to provide the taxes and both w2... I'm just trying to prevent an RFE
-
She filed joint with her husband..

Hello everyone! So I have a cosponsor I have everything from her paystubs, w2 and her taxes she's married but she's the only cosponsor. She doesn't have her husbands w2... DO I NEED THEM? Or do I have enough with her taxes and her paystubs? Note: they filed together. Also I have a friend who is self employed and makes enough. If he were to co sponsor what would I need from him? Any advice would be so helpful!!! Thanks in advanced!!!
-
I didn't make enough last year so I need a co-sponsor. It's a married couple SHE is a US citizen but her husband is waiting for his green card. They filed their taxes together. Will this affect their case? Can she still be my co-sponsor even if they filed their taxes together??? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks in advance!!!
-
Ok she can sponsor my husband but they filed taxes together how would I go about this?

So I received the NVC welcome letter and it contains a checklist of the documents I need to provide and a fee bill of $120. My question is when I have all the documents they ask for do I send it to the NVC or to the consulate where I would be scheduling the interview for my husband? No really given much direction. Kinda lost. Help please!

I was checking my husbands case on the USCIS website and it says that the case was sent to the department of the state for visa processing. What does this mean and what's next? Is this a good thing? Thanks in advanced!
-
So is there somewhere I can keep informed on what dates they are working on? Sorry for all the questions just so many changes in immigration ?
-
Thank you for the quick response! They are YSC

Hello everyone so when I ask a question it gets moved and I can't get the answer I'm looking for lol so I hope I get the help I need. I sent my husbands I-130 in April 10, 2016 I got a text message from USCIS that my case was received and that I would be getting a receipt in the mail by May and If I didn't to call the customer service number. I did and they told me that they don't send out duplicate receipts. So does the NOA1 have where my case was transferred to? They said as long as I have the case # then that's all I need. Anybody else have this happen? I just wanted the receipt to have and to send CR1 it's worth a try no?
-
Finally Sent I-130 4/8/2016 very hopeful, nervous, scared, wondering if I sent enough evidence. Marriage certificate, we have a baby together, I've visited, pictures, affidavit from myself and friends family that know us. Approved K1 back in 2014. He left due to mother being ill and not enough to time or money for the AOS. So that's why now we filed for the I-130

Hello everyone, my husband turned in the last document the embassy requested. I checked the ceac website and said in red letters "your passport is being delivered to post" what does that mean? Also what would it say if and when it's ready? Thank you in advance! Everyone has always been so helpful I really appreciate it!
