I too would recommend to sticking with West-Houston (either north-west in the Cypress area, Katy, or southwest in the Sugar Land area).
We currently live in Sugar Land, rents are high but it's a beautiful community and extremely diverse.
We have mosques, churches, a huuuuge hindu temple, etc.
Rent for a small apartment runs at maybe $800-$1000 a month in Sugar Land but you might find lower rent closer to the actual city of Houston (we're about 20 minutes west) or a little further north.

Incorrect date on Green Card

Hi all,
I have a funky situation on my hands.
I have recently been looking in to becoming a US citizen (I will be a legal resident for 3 years, based on marriage to my US spouse in January) and found an inaccuracy on my current Green Card.
It states that I have been a legal resident since January 13th of 2013 where in reality I have only been a legal resident since January 13th of 2014.
I know it's silly that I just now came to realize this inaccuracy but I was wondering if this will give me issues if and when I decide to file the paperwork to become a US citizen.
Has anyone ever had this issue come up before? I can't believe I didn't catch it until this morning but now I'm slightly worried about it becoming a problem in the future.
Any input is appreciated!
