  1. Is this about age difference or older men would would like to date?

Anyway, I have an age difference for me and my husband. We had no problem in Cairo. However, the POE was Dallas and they held him for 3 hours asking all kinds of silly questions. Finally, he told them talk to my wife, she is waiting for me I'm sure. They called me on the phone, I told the man, what are you doing? Why? What's the problem? He said just protecting the country. I said so you should have talked to me first. We are fine and let him out. They did immediately.

No one ever asked us anything about our age. They were just concerned about him being Muslim and I am christian. They were also asking about since I was divorced with kids, from other marriage, if it was a problem for him or his family? But that's none of their business and I told the man. I'm braver than most. But if you have it in you...you can pull it off.

I think the key at the airport - dress nice - be composed and ready for questions.

Cairo never mentioned anything - they were all about the paperwork being filled out correctly.

    Good luck.

  2. Okay, well maybe my husband is different from other Egyptian men. He tells me all the time, dont shave under your arms and dont shave your legs. He likes it. Maybe he is just a little magnoon.

Even if he wanted me to shave all body hair....nope not gonna do it! Although, he did actually which was really strange. I told him if he did that again, I'd be very upset. Cos' here in USA the men who do that are usually Gay. So really he took me serious and stopped doing it.

    hehehehehe.

  3. Ok just so everyone knows the status now. Interview was July 26th. Asking for co sponsor. Got documents and fed expd to Egypt for hubby to send TNT to the Embassy. TNT confirms receipt on August 6th. However, when we call the Embassy they are not updated in the system. We call every other day to check if anything new or if they even have reviewed the papers. The last time I talked to someone on Sunday morning, she said they probably have it and do it in order of received date. And that sometime in the next few weeks someone will review the papers and let us know if they have more papers needed or additional administrative issues. ???

OMG its crazy. So maybe in September 6 to 20th? We might know if they need something else?

Well, we are just crazy and trying to keep the anger, frustration down, but it is so difficult. Both of us are wondering what's gonna happen? Our future is in the air. And they hold it in their decisions.

I HATE THIS. I'm about ready to sell everything, quit my job and just move to Egypt. I mean why not? We are probably gonna get nuked by Iran anyway?

Just kidding on this...but im desperate.

  4. Thanks everyone for your comments and encouragement. I have not been online to reply since this. I did the papers for the cosponsor and sent Fed Exp to Egypt to my husband. He should get on Saturday and send TNT to the embassy.

I did try to talk to the Embassy about my income. They dont want to listen and said just do what is asked on the paper and the visa will be issued.

So let's see if that's for real?

I just could not believe this girl at the desk pulling out critical documents (she really makes me mad). I just hope that after they get this, they dont come back and say ok now we need something else? Surely they can't do that?

Hope for us and Pray for us! I need my husband here before the kids starts school, now it looks like we have to wait til maybe September? No one ever does anything fast. So even if they get my documents on Monday next week, for sure they are not doing anything with them for a about a week or more? Oh well....

Im trying to learn to be patient.

  5. :crying: Ok we had the interview. The crazy thing the girl at the desk went through our file and pulled out explanations and other documents related to the Affidavit of Support. She gave them to him and told him, we dont need these for the interview.

Then he goes to the interview and the man says, well based on 2005, your wife does not qualify as a sponsor (I have only been at my job since May 2005 so my income tax reflected only this 1/2 year amount) for my income). However, I had documents indicating my income and verifying my employment for 2006 and that if you total the two together I more than qualify as a sponsor. Plus I had included my assets, which include my clear title of my vehicle. These were all in the papers the girl pulled out and said, you dont need in the interview.

Thus, the officer then marked on the paper stating you need a co sponsor to receive visa.

Ok, so I talked with them, and they said this is what the officer wants, you have to do this. I said ok, so I got my mom to be co sponsor, but the question is should I send directly to the embassy?

They said send by TNT to the embassy in Cairo. But I dont have TNT here in Texas??? So should I send to my husband and then have him send by TNT? It seems like extra expense. I can't get anyone there to

tell me cos their offices are closed. I want to send this Saturday if possible to get it there a.s.a.p.

Also, I'm wondering if this will throw us in to another loop of A.P. ? And will he have to go back again to have another appointment after they receive this?

Help! If you can tell me any information, instead of responding just on here, can you please send to my email address at fina_sev@yahoo.com I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for all your help everyone...we are so close~!

    :D

  6. We tried this back in March. I went to Cairo and we went for a Visitor Visa for him, they will take your money for this fee for the visa and then just laugh at you and tell you be patient and wait for your other visa.

I even went to the main office and yelled and screamed at them for my flight to egypt for 1 week to do this visa after their suggestion for them to just laugh in his face and tell him to wait.!!!!

Anyway, it didnt do a bit of good. And we are just now going to the interview next week and still no visa yet....Hope we get together in August or maybe September?

  7. (L) Okay here's the deal...the interview is one week away. We did the originals all to the NVC here

in USA all fees paid everything. We got packet said do medical, he did and finished. And it said

just take this first page with the bar code for the interview and his passport.

;) Any suggestions or other things you think he should take with him?

 He was also concerned about dressing appropriate, however it is like 95 degrees

in Cairo these days. So he was curious if they would be offended if he wore

jeans and short sleeve shirt, even if very expensive american jeans and very nice

    skechers?

I just have one week if there is anything else I need to send to him, so let me know?

  8. Well I guess I'm not the normal person here. I would mind a lot. Not because I'm jealous or anything, he can go with his friends to do things without me.

But for the pure fact that it is degrading to women for this strip club. It is promoting sexual activity outside of your marriage and it is just as bad to visual be stimulated from another woman as it is to actually have intercourse.

So for me.....no strip clubs! Going out with your friends and talking or playing pool or something, watching football, sports something....ok.

But when it comes to any sexual, naked-ness that my department only.

  9. IMpressive

Yodrak you asked good questions, i would have to think seriously on them..

This is the other angel i should have thought it. anyways

    so thanks

    Fooki

You know the other thing you need to consider, is that you should be offended that they question your love. If you are truly in love, no one government should be able to say how old you have to be to marry someone. They don't do it for men, so why they are doing it for women?

It also depends on how you look together, do you feel comfortable and is she comfortable? Does your family approve and her family approve? That's important to government, but not always important to you and her.

This is about your life, if you act like you are offended that they would question your love, I would think most people would back off. But if you have evidence to the contrary, and it sets off anyone for a red flag, OMG watch out then!

I'm older than my husband, and no one, not his family, friends, or my family or friends every said anything. No one ever says in the street or anywhere. Cos basically, we don't care what any one thinks...it's our life let us live it.

    Good luck.

  10. Ok....my husband did the medical exam. The doctor sent him to another doctor for extra lab work and it cost more than they said. But it's ok. The main thing I'm questioning is the Vaccination record. He didn't have one from when he was a child. Although he told them he did some of them, he didnt have a piece of paper to say. They ended up giving him the Td, MMR and that's it.

I'm worried on the bottom of the worksheet it says Results: Vaccine history incomplete, applicant may be eligible for blanket waiver(s) because vaccination(s) not medically appropriate. And in the worksheet it says not age appropriate for several, the DT, DTP, Polio, Hib, Hep B, Varicella, Pnemonoccoal, Influenza.

So what is this blanket waiver? Do I need to have him do it before he goes for the interview?

    Help.....

  11. We never did the K3 Visa, we are only doing the CR1. My husband just went for his Medical and our appointment for the interview in Cairo is July 26. I called the embassy and if he has his results early, he can move the date up for the interview as long as the embassy has all the file from the U.S.

After they received my I864 it was one week til they set the appointment schedule. But it took 2 weeks to mail the forms and medical to me. Then I mailed it to my husband in Egypt.

Plan on the medical will cost more than what it says on the paper. Also, when you go to the doctor, he should have like a "tip" for the nurse. This way the papers are processed quickly. My husband took like $500 le to his medical and got the results the next day. But someone else went and it took 10 days. So if you have extra money, so do it to get your papers faster.

Also, if you get the papers back early, you can call the embassy to see if you can move the date up for your interview. Maybe someone else gets cancelled or something. But don't cancel your original date, until you know if you can move to earlier date.

If you want to ask more, so send me a private to my email.

  12. I love his little devilish grin when he wants something his way.

 I love his happy go lucky attitude about life.

:help: I love the way he never wants to ask for help, even when he is breaking the washing machine door.

 I love his giddy silly mood before he goes to sleep when he is really tired.

 I love his way with me when I'm moody and you girls know what I mean.

:luv: I love it that he wants me to be fat...more...eat more...dont get thin....huh ya right!

 I love it that he loves my kids and he feels he is the dad for them for real.

    B) I love the way he looks when he gets dressed up...Mr. GQ.

    (L) And I'm crazy for his way when we are together in public.

:star: IM JUST CRAZY IN LOVE WITH MY HUSBAND!

Okay now you made me miss him so much......I have to call him. :crying:

  13. I am not wasting any more energy and money on him. I don't care if he's celibate. If a notarized affidavit from someone he made those statements to and the fact that he left me so very soon after getting here in the US (keep in mind that we were in Egypt from 02/02 til 04/13) aren't evidence enough, then immigration will never do their jobs properly. God knows we can't get them to do it now.

    Jen

That's the spirit, in fact, I'll add my tuppence to the above suggestion. Proof that he is not faithful would be moot a this point, in fact, it would cloud the issue of this marriage having been fraudulently induced. The regulations are clear as to the intent upon entering the marriage only. You don't wish to add any element of a scorned spouse into the mix. Be clear, concise and as factual as possible, without emotion, if possible. A timeline of events and facts to corroborate should demonstrate the scheme he had in mind.

Damn, diaddie, you iz cold. I like it.

:star: You have a good attitude. And all of us here can really relate to your situation. Don't ever feel bad or used from this situation. You were truly in love and you can't blame yourself for that not seeing his true identity. So just try to kill this love inside you so you don't fall for any other attempts he might make in the future when he finds out no one can help him out of his situation but you.

Did you ever think of reporting him to the Dept of Homeland Security? Maybe they can see him as a different subject now....and go take care of his sorry azz in Vegas....if you felt like doing that. Then no money out of your pocket. Because there is only a few reasons why people want a visa to come to the USA? right?

Good luck and keep your beautiful smile. Things happen this way for a reason. And now you have shared with all of us to be leary and watch all the flags for our relationships.

  14. Help. I need to get tax transcripts and W-2's I think I read on here recently that someone had a place to get them other than the IRS. I think it was acudocuments.com or docuverify or something like that. Can anyone tell me the easiest, quickest way to get past copies of the income tax and the W-2's. Thanks everyone.

Why not the ones from the IRS if you don't mind me asking?

    They're free.

Those pay sites are a rip off.

    http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=110571,00.html

Free from the government. Unless you want state information, they will tell you the state number to call where you will request them. There is a 39$ charge per copy for state w2 and tax forms, federal ones are free.

Ya I got mine from the IRS and just faxed the form to them. YOu can get the form from their website and I had it mailed to me within 1 week. But you might go ahead and get 3 years of the transcripts to have for later or just in case. So you don't have to wait again.
