AOS &IV Package scan date October 21-st.Still waiting for (hopefully) case complete....

How will I know if IV fee is unlock? I already paid AOs fee last week and now it showing that its paid

First you have to send :Ds-261 choice of agent,then pay aos fee.Then they review ds-261.After reviewing they Invoice The IV fee.They send you e mails for everything.

Another update!DS-260 for my parents submitted and aos+iv package sent to NVC.

I just Paid the IV fee for both of my parents and gathering tha financial and supporting documents!

I think it should say PAID first bfore u can pay the IV FEE..yay almost there..hoping to receive mail from NVC soon since i already received the approval letter..

It say PAID and Processed.IV fee is not unlocked.I just called NVC and they said that DS-261 it's been reviewed yesterday ,so i will receive the iv bill soon,less than a week.

I received the approval from USCiS August 16,and the Nvc welcome letter September 21...

Yep.after the approval the case is being sent to National Visa Center(NVC) for further processing.

You know when the e mail you the Welcome Letter.I don't know the exact date they received it...

I just submitted DS-261 Choice of Agent.DOes anybody know how long I have to wait before paying AOS fee. In the Ceac website says pay aos and the fee,but in the instructions of the Welcome letter they say I have to wait up 3 weeks before continuing paying the fees. I am confused..what should I do. and how long to I have to wait to pay the aos first?

Today i received The Welcome letter from NVC in the e mail.

How come, according to uscis it takes 5 months to process and yours took one month

It took just one month for me..I don't know why.And not only for me,there are others here that it took only 1 month...

Were you able to see the update online as soon as you received NOA1 letter in the mail? The receipt date on mine was August 5, but the receipt number provided is still not recognized in the system.

Hi Sheila526! Yes,i was able to see the update online even before receiving the NOA 1.I saw the update online since i got the e mail and text message that the case was received by USCIS.

Hi everyone! Today i got NOA 2( approval in the mail) for both my parents. They sent my parent's cases to NVC. Now waiting to hear from NVC...

Does anybody know how long does it usually take to hear from them?

I just checked USCIS website and it says the petition for alien relative was approved on august 9. It's exactly 30 days after filing the petition.That was fast! I haven't received NOA 2 in the mail yet,though. Waiting for NOA 2 in the mail... Does anyone know how long does it take to hear from NVC and get the case number assigned after USCIS approved the petition?

Had the Oath Ceremony today! Finally an US Citizen. Happyyyy ))))))

Congrats to everybody here that had their interviews and good luck to the others. I was never added to this forum but I have always followed you.

I had my interview today and everything went perfect.I was asked 6 questions firs, and t then went through n 400 ,signed some papers and all done! Recommended for approval.My oath ceremony is after 2 days, on Thursday!

I sent the application 03/21, NOA 03/29, priority date 03/23, Biometrics done 04/19, in line 05/19, interview letter 06/10, interview 06/28, and Oath ceremony 06/30. Happy to be an Us Citizen!! Good luck to all of you.

So I passed my interview!

My appointment time was 7:55am. I was a bit early but there was already a long line at the NYC office. i was sent into an overflow room with fewer people, and about 30min after that I was called.

My IO was nice enough, at first she was all business. I did the oath to tell the truth, then we sat down and I handed over my various forms of ID. She asked me the following questions:

1. What group of people was taken to America and sold as slaves?

2. Who makes federal laws?

3. Who is the vice president of the united states?

4. What is the highest court in the united states?

5. How many amendments does the constitution have?

6. Why did the colonists fight the British?

I got all 6, so she moved on. I had to read something about "Who appoints the representatives" and had to write "The people appoint our representatives" or something like that. English is my first language so that took zero time.

She then went through my application, it was all very straightforward. Her English was terrible and I had huge issues understanding what she was saying most of the time, but luckily I saw my application in front of her and was able to see when I'd checked no/yes and answer accordingly. Also, the interview in the office across from me was NOT going well, the IO was yelling at the guy and pacing and saying he was wasting her time, asking the same thing over and over. My IO told the other one to call the supervisor and stop the interview, but she decided to close her office door instead and continue to berate the poor dude.

After everything wrapped up I signed everything I needed to sign, she told me very long stories about her daughter-in-law (since my middle name was her first name, I think), and then I was given the paper that said I was recommended for approval and sent on my way! She didn't even ask me for any of the supporting documentation I brought!

Looking forward to the oath ceremony and being done with USCIS!
