Today the status is "issued". Very relieved!
So I assume it will be mailed to her soon?
AP for two weeks > Ready for two days > Issued
Thanks everyone!

Yikes! I don't think I trust the Thai postal service enough to mail a passport to the embassy. I would for sure hand carry it to them.
She used the EMS tracking service. It arrived safely.

Today the status changed from immigrant to non immigrant. It still says ready. The creation date says Nov 7th instead of august 5th.
It says check back in two days. Getting closer I think.

The previous status was the generic "administrative processing".
Any help is appreciated.

This is what the new status says. This is for a Fiancé visa by the way.
- Ready:
Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

My fiancé had her interview in Bangkok two weeks ago. They did not approve her at that time. 221 was given. They asked for more proof of relationship. I sent the docs to her and we submitted them. The embassy also sent an email asking for her passport. We sent the docs and passport at the same time.
Today the status says "ready". We already had the interview. What happens now? Will her passport be mailed with the visa soon?

Hi guys... First question as a part of our visa journey. Does my fiance need to have the sole custody form to bring my biological son along with her? My son is Four years old and was born in Thailand. He has a US passport, US birth certificate born abroad and a social security number/card.
From what I understand he needs no visa or additional paperwork to come here. His mom is the one who needs to go through the process.
By the way. She just got her Police check. We have almost everything on the checklist for DS-2001. This is one lingering question about sole custody forms.
Thanks
My biological son traveling to the US for the first time...

My son has a US and Thai passport. He will be traveling with his mom soon to the US from Thailand for the first time. He has never travelled here before.
Will she just provide his US passport when they depart from Thailand? Simple as that? Or is there more to it?
Thanks
