    Please correct the following error(s):
    • Select FORM I-864 AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT: Webservice unable to scan file.

Please help me I am stressed out trying from last 2 days. same error.

    I'm in the same boat

have been trying for the whole day today for two different applicants.
I'm assuming they're facing some technical problems, I guess our best bet is to wait and try once every now and then to upload docs.

  2. I'm from NJ and applied online on October 8, 2020.

I actually got a biometrics reuse a couple weeks after that in November 2020. And nothing since then, only the case completion date was a disaster since it first said completion time July 2021, then in April changed to May 2021 and then it jumped to say approximately 9 months until decision, although now It says 2 months from now.

I don't know if its somehow connected, but I have two friends who came here on fiancee visas and filed for Greencard in NJ around summer of last year and they recently had their interviews.

  3. Hello guys! We had our interview earlier today. It was quick and the IO was pleasant, very easy to talk to. ^^

Also, I got a notification that new card is being produced. Yay!

    Congratulations!

Hey JAPINATL! Our interview was at 11:45a today in ATL too. I wonder if we crossed paths? How funny..... Our interview was very quick and easy also. Our IO was super pleasant and friendly. We just went in and had a conversation and as we talked he checked things off on the application. He told us we were approved and gave us this form that he and Heem signed saying we were approved. We were SUPER nervous going in because even though I spent days preparing the folder to take we got 45 minutes down the road and I realized WE LEFT HIS PASSPORT! Our IO said he understood and it was no big deal because we provided plenty of copies.

I know we haven't posted much since the early stages of our process but THANK YOU to everyone in this group for your updates, advice and input. With all of your help and the rest of the VJ community we had a problem & lawyer free process of only 6 months. I cannot express my gratitude to everyone enough. Thank You! Congratulations to all that have been approved and with GC in hand and good luck to those still waiting. See everyone in two years for ROC.

Haha it's funny you could have ran into each other :)

    Congratulations!

  4. Oh I completely agree! It IS silly. She said they're currently on January 2016 however it could take 9-12 months for me to receive the card. I don't know what to expect; when I called to inquire about my I-485 application they said it would be another 3-4 months of processing however got the approval of my GC only 7 days later - without the need for an interview... They're all over the place! lol

It's all ridiculous! i filed 1,5 months later than you had and my interview is on September 14th in your local office!

if you count on what you say they told you, then my interview should have been scheduled for no earlier than mid November - December!

hold on there, it looks like everything they say regarding time is just useless to rely on :)

  5. After all those hardships april filers had to go through, it seems USCIS decided to waive interview for many people which is so amazing! Congratulations everyone! :)

    I have one tiny question:
on Friday me EAD status changed twice:

once to show that the new card was being produced, then that the case was approved

does it happen to everyone? i thought it should be "ordered-produced-mailed-delivered-approved"

Am I wrong? cause right now there's practically no info about the card itself when it just says "approved"

  6. Dear Fellow Visa Journey Members

As mentioned in our previous posts and also in our signature, we have reached the Day: 93 since our cases were received by USCIS and there had been no progress on any of our cases.

Thus in order to avoid any further delays, we had submitted two service requests:

    1. The first one was raised for "Case approaching Regulatory Time Frame" on Day 75

    2. The second one was raised for "Case beyond Regulatory Timeframe" on Day 91

Based on the link: https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume1-PartA-Chapter8.html it states that both of these Service Requests should be responded within 7 calendar days.

Well it has been 18 days since we submitted our first service request, yet we have not seen or heard any form of response from the relevant authorities.

The disappointing factor is that firstly the I-765 and I-131 were not processed with the federal regulated 90 day time frame and secondly even after following the appropriate procedures implemented by USCIS to open a service request addressing such delays, those requests were not processed either.

    Such outcomes begs the questions:

Q1. What form of policy and procedures are being followed to process these cases and service requests?

Q2. How can things be so reckless?

Q3. Is there any oversight on such practises?

With a lot of faith in the system and procedures, we have scheduled an info-pass appointment at the end of this month to seek assistance in getting such delays resolved.

By our info-pass appointment date, we would be at:

    1. 106 days since USCIS would have received our cases

    2. 031 days since our first service request

    3. 015 days since our second service request

We hope that we would at least get to see some progress by then.

    Happy weekend folks

    Kind regards,

    ConiMoni

It took them around 25 days to reply to the request that i submitted for my first set of documents. and it was really easy for them to reply to that cause they just wrote: the case was rejected and we see you already submitted the new one. good luck

so practically there's not much you can do about holding them responsible for what they say is going to be a time period for this or that document.

sorry to hear everything is going slow for you

hope your kicks in their back will eventually lead you to getting your docs really soon!

  7. Hi

it looks pretty complete I would say, but you should also double-triple check it with the instructions to all the forms you are submitting. And also I'm not very competent in that cause I'm adjusting not from K-1 visa, but I may give you some advice.

my advice is to attach a cover letter which will state what exactly you have attached and I also wrote "should you need any copies of the documents that are attached hereby, feel free to contact me for I have scanned each page of my application and have it saved on my computer"

and yes, SCAN or make copies of everything you're attaching, so that they will know that everything is in good order and won't return your documents rejected for no reason ;)

moreover there's no need in certified copies of anything unless it's stated so in the instructions of the form. I personally sent a simple photocopy of my marriage certificate and everything else. the only thing that you need is the translation of your birth certificate and it should be written on it and signed by someone else

    here:

Please submit certified translations for all foreign language documents. The translator must certify that s/he is competent to translate and that the translation is accurate.

The certification format should include the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification. A suggested format is:

    Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and [enter appropriate language] languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled [enter title of document].
    Signature
    Typed Name
    Address
    Date

  8. Hi there

usually they just say they try to process these papers in 6 months. sometimes it takes longer, sometimes it takes less.
You may also check it here with real people's experience, not with this "average" data

    http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslist.php?cfl=&op5=5,6,8,9,10,11

on the bottom of the table choose the office you filed with and then click on the down arrow of the interview column.

and here you will see the progress, when the interview was and when people actually applied. it's really cool for big offices cause you'll see a lot of recent cases
for example with my field office in mount laurel there are not that many cases this year (only three including mine). and the time differs from 2,5 months to something like 5 months. But at least you may track the progress people who applied within the same timeframe as you

    Good luck with this! :)

  9. good luck on the interview!!!

quick question so i found this on the USCIS website i basically need clarification before i go calling and wasting my breathe!!!

    Outside Normal Processing Time

Do you have a case pending with USCIS that is outside the normal processing time? USCIS usually processes cases in the order we receive them. You can get an idea of how long it will take to process your case from the processing time table available on our website. For most applications, you can send us an inquiry if your case has been pending longer than the processing time posted on our website.

NOTE: We are actively processing your case if, in the past 60 days, you:

    • Received a notice from us about your case,
    • Responded to a request for evidence, OR
    • Received an online update to your case status.

If your application type is not listed in the processing time table on our website, our goal is to make a decision on your application within 6 months of filing. Please wait six months before submitting an inquiry

to calrify since there wording can be rather backwards ###... the i-485 is listed in the drop down menu under this statement on the website so that means if i havent had a letter from them, RFE or a status update within 60days i can call for them to investigate??? im at day 59 since my last status update and ive had nothing since no RFE, no case update and no notice about my case unless biometrics appointment letter counts as a notice about my case... if you want to get technical by the way they worded it as of tomorrow they have passed there window for processing my documents based off the last update

I think the biometrics letter counts for the notice from them :(

  10. Ehhh he might still get in trouble with the irs. I just play by the rules and find it insulting and offensive how others don't and get away with it

don't even think about those guys :)

cause there are people who get their GC with fake marriages which is so common and they are definetelly not playing fair.

And actually those are the ones who are to blame for this strict and long procedure we have to go through now to get approved :(

But again, everyone lives their own lives, we are here not to blame but to give advice and support each other :)

  11. Oh, that's good. Congrats to both of you, Ash and CoolStrawberryPie.

I'm approaching my 75th day for my EAD and AP and I'm planning to lodge a service request. Do I just do it online or do I need to call USCIS to do it? I don't wanna call them anymore because the last experience that I had with their representative was terrible. He was very rude and just hang up on me.

You'd better call, cause all the service requests when put will tell you that they will be reviewed in 15 (business) days

This is why I suggest calling Uscis and first thing asking the agent number, so that they will know that you have put it down and they WILL be held liable for what they say.

if someone from their office hung up on me, I would call back and put a complaint about this officer, cause their job is to provide serivce and answer questions, not hanging up on the customers.

  12. Maybe we got the same representative. Lol

I also got the same response.

What do we do then if it had passed the processing time for EAD/AP and we already lodged a service request online? They would just tell you to wait for 15 days which would technically be our 90th day? So, what happens after that? What actions do we need to take? It seems like calling the USCIS doesn't help.

I think I will put the inquiry about my EAD on day 65, so that when they eventually get to it on day 80-85 then they won't be able to tell me that I should wait more time for them to expedite on my case XD

  13. I was able to put in a service request ONLINE on day 72 or so... if you'd rather avoid talking to them, just use the online system. It will probably let you put in a request now. Just enter the 8th (day you filed) rather than the day they received it. I was able to do this and my request was assigned to an officer for response a week later. Now, they sent me a response via snail mail so I'm still waiting for it...... at this point, I can't fight anymore haha I surrender and will wait patiently for them to approve my EAD whenever they feel like it! Otherwise I will go insane.

It's just silly cause when you put an inquiry online they tell you that it will take them 15 working days or smth to answer that inquiry

which gives them additional 3 weeks when EVERYTHING is past due

when I sent them inquiry about my docs being lost, they answered me even after that timeframe and their answer was like :

oh you already submitted a new package good for you and good luck with that!

  14. I shall be patient and I will call on Wednesday that will atleast out me past 75 from filing but only 2days short of when they recieved it maybe I can work it to my advantage... Wednesday is also 3weeks from my biometrics appointment so maybe there may be process on my I-485 even if it is a RFE... It's still stuck on "may 9th fingerprint fee recieved"... It still puzzles me how my check was cashed 28th of April yet it took them almost 2 weeks to note that they recieved my payment

OMG I got the most dumbass representative one can possibly get

She told me several times the same things that being 30-45 days

I was like: but i'm already past those days

she was like: I can't check it

I told her: that's funny cause the previous officer told me that I was on the day 36 after filing and you say you can't see that information

she apologized like a thousand times. I asked her WHEN I SHOULD CALL TO PUT AN INQUIRY ABOUT my case status online exactly?

then she said you should give it some time and the local offices process the cases in order they receive them and it usually takes around 6 months so give it some time okay?

i was pissed and said "thank you bye"

the most uninformative call I ever had

  15. i did file the 8th which would put me at day 74 from filing even tho they didn't receive it the 11th maybe I could just play the pity card and be like but it's 74 days since I filed the application it's only 1 days off 75 days

Sorry, ma'am, call back later after 75 days pass XD

you made me wanna call them

cause it's been MORE THAN 45 DAYS SINCE I FILED AND MY CASE NUMBER STILL DON'T WORK ONLINE :devil::devil::devil::devil:
