    2017

       January 20th

We received a notice. NVC case file completed.

       February 3rd

Interview letter for March 3rd at 2:30 pm.

       February 14th

Had my medical exam at Dr. Cheema's office. Everything went fine. I had made sure I had all my vaccines. They checked my weight, my height, my blood pressure, my eyesight and then the doctor asked me a few questions.

Before I knew it, it was over. Getting the lab tests was a bit of pain. There was a big line up for the blood test. I probably had to wait an hour, before my name was called.

       February 16th

I picked up my test results and the sealed envelope.

       March 3rd

We arrived at the Embassy at around 1:45 pm. They told us we were too early. We went back at 2:15 pm. They checked my passport and gave me a piece of paper with a list of how to sort out our paperwork.

Next they made us go through the scanners. No biggie. The next room with the elevator was deserted. We expected to see a bunch of people waiting to go up. No one was there.

When we got to the 19th floor, we sorted out our paperwork and then they called my number. The lady at the counter was super nice. She noticed how nervous I was and told me to relax and just breathe.

Having Hubby next to me helped too. After she took my fingerprints she told us to wait for the interview.

This time I had to do it by myself. The gentleman that did the interview was very nice too. Asked me how I met my husband, asked about the wedding, what kind of work my husband does. Very simple questions.

As he was going through his list he then told me I was approved. It took me a minute to realize what he had said. I got all teary eye. The whole interview lasted about 5 minutes.

       March 8th

The Visa packet was delivered to a post office in West Vancouver. My passport and a sealed envelope were inside the packet. I paid the Immigrant fee once I got home.

  2. Dear Visa Journey (L)

Hubby and I would like to thank everyone for all your support and assistance. We are so grateful for those who replied to our messages and those who took the time to answer all our questions. We definitely would not had made it this far without your help. We're soooo happy. It still feels like a dream. It's hard to believe I got approved so fast.

If anyone is interested, I can describe my medical test experience and all the details of my interview in Montreal.

  3. Hello everyone. My husband and I have a big problem with the NVC office. Our interview is next week and we've been waiting for the someone from NVC to send us a very important document. This document shows our status and other important information regarding our case. Every time they've tried to send us this document by email, the last page with our status and codes is blank. We've been calling them almost everyday letting them know of the problem and they keep sending the same PDF with the blank page. We asked if maybe a supervisor could print it and send it by mail instead, but they keep telling us all the supervisors are in a meeting no matter what time of the day we call. Does anyone know of a way we can get a hold of a supervisor fast instead of getting the runaround from the reps?

  4. Good Day Everyone,

My husband and I need some advice. We already received our NVC case number about 2 weeks ago. We've been waiting till I get a packet with more information, but nothing has come on the mail yet. I'm in Canada, so I'm not sure why it's taking so long. Should we continue waiting or should we go ahead and fill out the online Choosing and Agent form and pay the fees? Should we call the NVC office?
