Don't get tired of emailing them every other day if you can. If it's ready that means you're done with the AP process. Hopefully you'll hear good news soon. I know it's frustrating but you'll be done soon

Does anyone know after we pay for the immigrant visa online. Can we apply for a spouse social security before his entry to the usa. Or does it have to be after entry? Thanks

Yes, it's finally changed to ISSUED! God is so kind! So quick overview
Started petition : 10/09/2014

Case completed: 10/15/2015
Interview date: 03/28/2016

My status is changed again to AP. Been so for the past 6 hours.

I hope the process goes fast for all of us . Wish u the best of luck

I'm hoping for the best to all of us. It's such a painful long process. My advise to you, don't ignore it and just wait for them to update. On weekly basis send them email inquiries, it will not necessarily expedite but at least you'll be noticed.

yes got a couple early April, then one April 19. It still shows ready so I'm hoping not long till he receives his visa. Keeping my fingers crossed

i still think it's a good sign. I've heard several times that it goes to ready then it goes Ap then issued. It's crazy how they're playing with our feelings but we just gotta have patience.

suzie that's a great sign. That's what it's supposed to show. Next step is ISSUED fingers crossed. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

I was wondering if the status gets updated when you send them an email inquiry? I sent them an email checking on the status, do they usually update the case? But haven't received a reply back though

You're welcome! ???

ok I just asked my husband, and he said it's not going to be an issue as long as he renews the exemption soon. Because , let's just say he gets his visa in the month of June, and it is expiring in June , the airport officer might be a jerk and not let him travel. Say he gets his visa in May and it expires in June, then it's no problem. So to be on the safe side have him go and renew like TODAY.
-
suzie, why can't he get a permanent exemption? But either way just extend it till December, hopefully you'll hear something before then

I don't think that it's a problem. The only issue is that they might ask for evidence like pictures of you guys. I think the best thing is to get an attorney's opinion on this. But I doubt it's a problem, just be ready to provide a lot of proof for your legit marriage. Good luck with everything.

That's AWSOME! I'm happy for you!

I'll pray for you , myself, and everyone going through this tough process. Hang in there and I'll keep u updated. Let me know if anything happens with you guys

Have you had any updates????
I had two updates. From admin processing-another admin processing. It was one week after he submitted the document needed. But nothing new as of yet.

Hubby's interview in Cairo Egypt... November 17. Interview went great no documents requested and no 221g form given. CO said case looked great and if we didn't hear from them they would process our case. Been almost 3 weeks and no update.
My husband's interview was March 27, and he wasn't given any AP paper. He was only missing his military document which he sent the same day via Aramex. It's a tough process, especially the AP because we simply don't know when it'll be over. Just have patience and you'll get through it.

Any additional documents needed after interview will have to go thru aramex. She must have given you a form at the end of the interview with the missing item checked. You need to submit that along with the taxes as well with your case number written clearly. Again, I'm not sure if it can done via FedEx from the U.S. But if you check their website it clearly states Aramex. I would stick with that.
