Flights to Jamaica go thru either the US or Europe, requiring a hard-to-get visa.
You are right. I wasn't aware of the transit visa requirement. Is it really that difficult to get a transit visa for Indians?
I guess Mercedes decided to fly to India so this point is moot, but if one is really adventurous, a way that doesn't require a visa may be found. For example, you can fly from India to Sao Paulo via Istanbul, Sao Paulo to Panama City and Panama City to Jamaica. It would be one hell of a trip, but it is possible.

OP, I am sorry for your situation. It doesn't hurt to argue your case but if it doesn't work out you can go to a third country to get married as others have mentioned. Check the list below, Jamaica sounds like a good candidate but make sure to research marriage laws there. Indian consulate in Jamaica may be another option.

I think that is the usual procedure. She can not leave the country without her passport anyway, right?
