  1. City/ Town: DC

    State: DC

    Date of Service: 05/07/2015

    CS Name: Dr Polly Steinburg

CS Tel. no: incl. area code

    Cost: $30

Vaccine Transcription only available: y/n Yes

    Turnaround time: 20 mins

Dr Steinburg answers her own phone, therefore cutting out the receptionist who doesn't know the rules, and is an efficient one woman operation. She knows the USCIS system inside out.

She transcribed my vaccinations for $30 all in like 20 mins. I drove hour and a half from Baltimore and it was well worth it as others in Baltimore didn't know what they were doing.

I just talked to her. You are correct. I was surprised when I heard Dr. Steinberg. We have a clean DS-3025 form and no adverse reports on it. She enquired about Flu shots. 30 for flu shot. Otherwise only 30 for I-693.

I would like to know how your experience ended - I mean you had no issues with the I-693 from USCIS.

I would appreciate if you can post a response - I am hoping you will see my post.

  2. Who Decides the Interview Date: Us OR Them

Confusion on this topic as I read two different things:

    - Posts here say NVC sends email with interview date.

    - Consular page and State dept pages say that the candidate selects the interview date and time online after paying the K visa fee.

What is the actual experience of you sir talalissa.

Also - for medical , do we need appointment letter? This consular page says so.

  3. I am a May 2016 filer and received K1 approval this past week.

We realized that out of 2 consulates in the beneficiary's country we selected the farthest one.

    1. Can I call the NVC now - before the NOA2 even reaches its door - and request to allot the correct consulate?

    2. Is it risky to even go there - I mean -- just wait and take whatever comes your way - if you try to micro-manage or want to get too comfy -- you are staring at delays...? Not sure.

Elders, gurus out there please advise.

  4. This is a great community which I regret not using so far!

I am seeking advice from experienced gurus out there on my situation.

    Here is the situation:

Boy is US citizen - naturalized and girl is from India. Engaged in December 15. We wanted to be sure and safe and hence settled for filing GC after marriage. But still 8 months are there for marriage in India.

Please advise if it is a good idea to start K1 now.

What will be the time frame - K1 approval and when girl can travel to US for marriage here?

Main goal is : to know if we will be in a better position by K1 process on the day of marriage in November last week of 2016.

If nothing happens - approval of K1 - can I retract the petition and go for filing GC sponsoring by boy (IR).

    Thanks in advance.
