A friend of mine received the exact mesage, of course with her own MSC # and 2 weeks letter received her approval letter and the follwing days her GC

Hello! This past Saturday June 11, my husband received the letter in the mail saying our interview is June 29th. Online USCIS still shows they received our RFE response.

I hope you hear something soon. Keep an eye out for any mail and email as well!

In my case it did not affect my EAD,got an RFE Feb.23,March 21 they received my response and on March 30 my EAD was approved ,received my card first week of April.

Hi there,my status is still the same it is more than 70 days since they received my RFE response.

The same thing with me,got an RFE last feb.As of Mar.23 response to USCIS request was received.Until now, that is still the current status.

Hello,this with regards to the topic if I 485 is related to I 765.I got an RFE Last Feb .23 and responded 2nd week of March.I got an update yesterday that with my 1 765 it says case approved.But my I 485 still says we received your docs May 21.Could it be that they will give your EAD even if your RFE for I 485 is on going?I posted on separate thread about my RFE.

Thank you very much for taking time to read my post and for giving me a very sound advice on how to address this issue point by point.Yes ,we paid a lawyer but we never had the chance to talk to him,its only through his staff who is handling my case and she's never been helpful and accomodating on my queries.She was not able to address the RIE the way you did!She only said resubmit the docs or look for a joint sponsor.Had she explained to me why we need a joint sponsor, like what you did,I could have understood and find ways to look for one.But no explanation ,no nothing.So we said okay just resubmit it,and she did,thats all! USCIS received it last March 21st.

After reading your reply,I can say maybe we are just waiting for another RFE?Because we really have not addressed the issue.

If I can find a joint sponsor now ,would it be wise to send it to USCIS as added supporting docs or just wait for their response?

Hello there.Got RIE last February 2016.We submitted my docs through our lawyer but the one handling my case is a staff of my suppose to be lawyer,havent had the chance to talk to our lawyer only to his staff who is not accomodating and helpful.I regretted that i got their services,anyhow i just want to post my RIE here because maybe you could give me some advice on how to address this. My husband used asset because he has been out of job since 2013 so his income does not meet the poverty guideline.Since he has a house thatt is what he used . We submitted all the documents to our lawyer.

Cover letter stating that we are using Asset

Appraisal of the property (we had it appraised last Dec. 2015)

It was appraised at 385k

Titles and other pertinent docs

Evidence of ownership.

Property has no outstanding mortgage

So far we submitted everything and we calculate the value of the asset and it is sufficient from what USCIS required,so thats why we were wondering why we got RIE .As if we did not send any docs at all! And our para legal told us to find a joint sponsor,why would we look for a sponsor when my husband has an asset to support me?And then she said or we resubmit it because maybe the IO handling my case overlooked it.Could it be the case?Please help me.

Hi,I'm new here.I'm glad that i have found this site.For those who have an idea or have the same delimma as me,please give me your advice.We filed my AOS 1st week of January 2016 through a lawyer,had my biometric last Feb.12,2016.On Feb.23 got an RFE,it seems like our lawyer did not submit our supporting docs as it was stated on the RFE.My husband used asset to support me and we submitted everythng that is needed ,that is latest appraisal of his house,title and ownership etc.and a cover letter stating that he will use asset,but we still got RFE and this means delay on my application.Anyways,for the meantime we already sold the house and we decided to leave US and settle in Asia so our plan now is to withdraw my application because we are not going to reside here anyway.He lost his job 3 years ago.And he felt that there is nothing for him here now.I came here using my tourist visa and I'm out of status now since Oct.2015 .My question is if I withdraw my AOS and go back to my country with my husband,can I apply for a tourist visa again?or will I be banned for 10 years. I am not so after now with getting a GC,my only desire is to have a tourist visa to come here,just to visit once in a while.My lawyer is not very helpful,when i told her about our plan to withdraw she just said okay we will withdraw it! Without giving me advice and giving me pros and cons ! I hope somebody will give me an advice,I will value and appreciate all your input.
