Congratulations  to you both, my wife and I are currently awaiting  the NVC document review , i live in Las Vegas and my wife resides in Bogota, Colombia.getting supporting documents are a bit complex so If you guys need any help or guidance please give us a heads up, we'll  be glad to help out ok...  

@miho585 i'm actually going through the same process as you and yes... you need to send the following items for your son,,his birth certificate, your civil marriage certificate, your birth certificate, divorce certificate and court order documents regarding the custody of your son, 2 passport type photos, and your I-864 financial documents include W-2 forms for the last 3 years ( if you are the petitioner ), copy of your passport,,,, and remember that any documents not in the English language must be accompanied by a translation to English by a certified person ... any other questions feel free to contact me

Hello everyone, please I need help with this question, my wife in Bogota Colombia is just waiting to set up her councelar  interview and has been given instructions to choose from a list of doctors sanctioned by the US embassy, on the instructions it mentions that the average cost of the medical exams  of an individual  are of 600 thousand Colombian pesos, about 300 $ dollars . Which I'm fine with.  My wife has called all the doctors mentioned on that list only to find out the average cost is of a million 200 thousand pesos .. or 600 $  dollars for each patient.. twice the amount.. there are 3 people undergoing these medical exams.. that's a small fortune !!  

Has this happened to anyone else ??  Is this a common occurrence?? I think it's a rape from these doctors since they are the only ones the US embassy will reffer visa benefactors to.. please help !!

Hello everyone, please I need some help with procedures of a US consulate  interview for my wife,  I have already sent all documents to NVC and payed the visa and every process fees needed .  My question is if I'm able to acompany my wife to her consular interview assuming NVC accepts all documents turned in. Someone just mentioned to me that unless my name is added to the appointment time at the US embassy . I will no be allowed in, if that's true I would like to know how do I add my name to be with my wife during the interview .. any help with input  or information concerning this CR-1 please  help. Thank you !!

mine took a full week to unlock the IV payment box,, I say just be patient and keep checking it everyday,, it'll give you the prompt soon enough my friend.. hang in there !!

Hello every one in Visa Journey...I have a question from anyone concerning my petition I-130 filed for my wife overseas, her I-130 was approved and is already at the NVC for processing, I was under the assumption that one of my stepson who was 17 at the time we married was automatically approved once my wife's petition was also, then I found out I needed to apply a separate I-130 for him which I did , 7 months later.. His I-130 was received and it's been 4 months since I got a letter with his LIN number as a receipt notice. my question is my wife will soon be reaching the interview stage at a South American Embassy since I've sent the affidavit of support I-184 to NVC. a week ago, and i'm worried my stepson will not be able to travel with his mother to the US assuming we're granted an immigrant visa, will the Embassy allow my stepson to speed up his approval for his visa or is it going to have to be the same waiting period for the entire process as was for my wife ????? please help with any information on this subject... thank you  !!!!!

I had to go through that nightmare and please don't make the mistake I made.  I sent  USCIS a certified copy of my igleciastical marriage certificate. USCIS sent back a letter with an RFE  asking me to send the civil marriage certificate certified since its the only one they will accept,  and if it's from another country with a language other than English, that certificate needs to be translated to English by a competent translation entity or agent certified by the state 

Hello everyone from Visajourney.. I really need some help with this, My case has reached NVC thank God and was issued a Case number and an IIN..i've already made my first payment and recieved a set of documents requesting  " SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS "

 I need help with the following, they ask for : MARRIAGE TERMINATION , which I understand what it is,, then it's followed by : COURT RECORDS ?? that part I don't understand what it is

then there's this : " PETITIONER'S CIVIL DOCUMENTS " ?? what do they mean with that ??

IRS TAX TRANSCRIPT ???   whats that ??

and finally SOCIAL SECURITY EARNINGS STATEMENT ??     i'm totally lost with these requests because it's not defined in any way, 

anyone with some answers to these questions and  requests from NVC please it's much appreciated... thank you !

@misshepburn.. I'm sorry to bother you again. When you mentioned " SPONSOR " .. that's that mean my wife or me ? .. I'm the petitioner and my wife the beneficiary , she's in Colombia ... please help me clarify this .. thank you

Hello everyone, please I need some help from anyone that's gone through the step of NVC. My petition for my wife was accepted and received a NOA indicating my file has been forwarded to NVC, in the instructions  they are telling me to wait 30 days before I contact them and ask for a handler and pay fees, that is my concern, I want to be prepared when I reach that point , does anyone know what documents they will ask from me and what's the dollar amount of NVC fees that will be aplicable ??    Any enlightment on this will be appreciated  , thank you 

Hola.. soy ciudadano Americano y yo también le llevó 23 años a mi esposa , y llevo exactamente 6 meses desde que empecé el proceso de mi K3- CR-1.. y me aprobaron mi peticion hace una semana . Estoy casi seguro que el proceso total de K3 CR-1 demora un total de 9 a 12 meses. Opte por spousal visa por que es menos costoso y menos complicado. Mi caso esta en camino a NVC y eso demora 4 meses mas o menos . Fiance visa  K-1 es menos demorado pero más complicado mas costoso y con las nuevas reglas del nuevo gobierno aun mas burocracia  se aumento al proceso .

I'm totally outraged reading these comments.. I submitted my I -130 on March 23 2016.. received RFE in September. Sent back every document they asked for. There received it back from me on October 17th. And have not heard from them since ... why are they taking so long ? I've called numerous times to check on the status but they keep on telling me the same thing over and over again ... it's processing

Hello fellow VJ bloggers. I need help with my time line. I received my first I-797 Request for Evidence, Wich I carefully read each of the instructions and submitted my response to USCIS with every document asked of me to the letter. they sent me an Email with a confirmation that they received it. It was received on October 17th 2016, it's almost a month and have not heard from them since, what's next or how long does it take them to review those documents in order for my petition to move forward to the next step... please help, thank you !

It's absolutely necessary you notify and update any change of address on both the petitioner or beneficiary with any process with USCIS or other government branch handling your immigration petition .

Please does anyone know the time it takes USCIS to approve a CR-1 case from the moment they receive the request for evidence? .. in my case they received it on the 17th of October and it's been more than 2 weeks and I haven't heard from them at all.. I'm getting desperate and this waiting is totally terrifying .. can anyone please help me with this issue

I'm totally confused about this.. I'm guessing is her vaccination records as a child for immunization like are required here in the states.. my wife tells me her mother doesn't even remember , let alone her... or are these new vaccination shots she had to undertake before she's able to immigrate to the USA.. ?? can anyone elaborate please ! ... thank you

Hello VJ folks. I have a question that concerns me alot. I read from a VJ person from Colombia, same country as my wife, mention that in his final interview he was instructed to bring his vaccination records for review. He stated that he doesn't have it , or worst yet has no idea how to obtain those records. I immediately asked my wife if she has her vaccination tecords, she tells me no, and has no idea as to how she can obtain them in Colombia. Does any one know how vital are these records to present at the time of interviews ?.. does the US consulate require these with out exemptions ? ... any one that's had these issues and over came them please help .. thank you
