  1. Hi guys, just wanted to update... so my wife's application was approved a couple days ago and an approval letter has been sent according to the case status online.

Our info dropped off the list but we were in the same limbo as the rest. We went in last Thursday and got a 6 month I-551 stamp as the officer noticed that the case had been approved that day. We're traveling next month so we needed the stamp. But anyway, I'll post again when she gets her new green card. We also filed the N-400 last month. I'll update the dates on our sig when I get a chance.

Just wanted to let you guys know that it looks like the wheels got greased at Nebraska or something and maybe you all will be getting approved soon!

  2. Wow guys, been over a year since I've posted! Looks like my wife is in the same NSC mess as the rest. Makes me feel a lot better though to see we're not alone. If you would add us here is the info: I-751 date 1-21-07, NOA 1-26-07, Biometrics 2-22-07

From what I read it appears we can file the N-400 even without the I-751 approved? Any additional info regarding that would be appreciated.

Also, nobody has had a problem getting a fresh I-551 stamp with an infopass? We plan to travel out of the country in April and the letter will expire by then.

Just to pass along the experience, we traveled to Europe with the NOA letter and the expired green card last September. Checking in for the return flight was a little stressful; it did involve showing the letter as the ticket agent declared the green card "expired." The immigrations officer in Seattle didn't even glance at the letter; just scanned the green card and we were back in the USA.

Hang in there everyone; I'm sure we'll all get through this fine.
