  1. hello everyone,
I really need your help here. My hubby was told in his interview yesterday to get a new joint sponsor because our sponsor has already sponsored too many people in the past. They kept his passport and told him as soon as he submits a new sponsor, they will give his passport back within 10 days. However, I recently got a new full time job and my income will be above 125% of poverty guidelines this year. Should I email the embassy and explain them with the proof of my recent pay stubs? or should I just try to find a new sponsor? I am honestly finding it very difficult to find a sponsor for him.:cry::cry:

  2. Bro Me also same boat on 6th June. Its my prediction for that ,Recently US Embassy Dhaka Maximum Spouse visa they r fall on Administrative Processing.Whatever the right document submit to Embassy.Recently They r not as much as visa to Issue for Bangladeshi...I don't Know Why...but i think so they r not as much as interested to give spouse visa.my all of documents are well, even consular officer don't want any document at interview time...also my case was Administrative processing,I don't know why...Its a really painful moment for visa applicant.Only Allah know When Embassy give me visa...Waiting for that moment...

I had an interview 6 june also. on interview they told me inter view was very good. they want to give me my passport after 10 days. when i checked my status on 10th june it showed me "visa issued on 8 june". But 14th june they gave me new status "administrative processing". can any one tell me why its happened. 1st show me issued then few days later its showing me administrative processing. i am in f2a. and they do not want any type of document from me.

I am so sorry guys, I hope the status will change from AP to issued soon. My hubby's interview is in couple days and I am getting anxious and nervous just by hearing what happened to you all :crying::crying:

  3. Hi guys and gals,

Just wanna let you know that my visa was approved today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kept checking all day yesterday and up to this morning and CEAC still showed AP.....at 1:10pm my husband IM'd me and then called me thru BBM....I missed both message and call as I was away from my office. I saw his missed call and then returned it thinking it was an emergency bcuz he doesn't have reason to call me....then he shouted THEY ISSUED THE VISAS BABE! :D

I literally stood in shock and started crying....words fumbling as I tried to calm myself and talk to my parents on the phone telling them the good news. My mom started crying too! :(

Thank you to all who gave encouraging words of comfort and support and thanks to God for granting me the patience thru this visa journey. I have learned a lot so that I am certain I can now guide others on their path thru visa success :)

Now to get prepared for the journey to Florida :dancing::dance:

YAY! congratulations Amadia!! So happy for you :dancing::dancing:

  4. Hello my friends,

The email that we received from embassy says " YOU MUST WRITE THE CASE NUMBER ON TOP OR BOTTOM OF ANY DOCUMENT, COPIES OF

DOCUMENT/S OR PHOTO ALBUMS WHICH YOU SUBMIT TO THE CONSULAR SECTION. WRITE
THE NAME AND THE CASE NUMBER OF THE APPLICANTS ON THE BACK OF THE VISA

PHOTOGRAPHS." Does it mean we have to write case number on all the original documents? or only on the photocopies?

  5. I was in a similar situation with my first husband. We had our interview 6 weeks after our 2nd anniversary and I was heavily pregnant with our second child (for which the CO wanted a doctor's note before they'd give my husband his card - crazy). Anyway, while he was approving it, I noticed he was writing CR1 on the forms. I pointed out it him that it should be IR1 since we had been married more than 2 years. He had to go back and check the dates to verify, and then changed it.

So, just be sure to bring it up after they say you're approved. Based on my experience, I wouldn't rely on the CO to update it for you.

Thank you so Much! I will definitely tell him to bring it up once he gets approved.

They automatically change it for you, mine started as a CR1 and i ended up receiving IR1 and CBP in the stamp they wrote IR-1 aswell.

So you don't have to do anything, doesnt hurt if you ask tho at the embassy.

Thank you Javi22! I really appreciate it.

  6. Oh, I failed to mention that with all the worry, this was not even mentioned or brought up during the interview. They just took the tax return and the AOS, packed them together, asked my wife a few questions unrelated to finances and handed her the approval letter.

Wow i hope our interview goes as easy and smooth as yours:)

I don't know why I am so nervous about his interview. I feel like they will put him on AP or deny him for silliest reason.

  7. This was a HUGE worry for us during our process. For the year 2015, I filed as "Head of Household" despite being married to someone overseas. A few people pointed out that I should have filed as "married" and that I should amend my return to reflect this. It had NEVER entered my mind to file as "married" because my wife was NOT here in the states, subsequently not having a SS # or the identifying number so logic dictated it made no sense to include someone (my wife) on my tax return who was not qualified for ANY benefit in the U.S at the time.

Some people pointed to me that the IRS had made provisions to add a spouse to the returns and file as married even if they had no SS#, but there was one caveat the IRS site did not mention and that is, the provision is made for those spouses who are ALREADY living in the states and are being filed for. Without this caveat, some folks figured it ALSO applied to applicant spouses living overseas.

I went back to my tax folks and they insisted I did NOT need to amend my return and told me what the IRS allowed was not necessarily here nor there with the embassies. They told me they could not or it made no sense to include someone WITHOUT a SS# on my return. So, to end all the worry, I went and asked the question directly of the embassy. As I somewhat expected, I was told it did NOT matter to them. All they cared about was whether or not my return and AOS showed I could support myself, my incoming spouse and my children which they did. They understood that NOT using a filing status as "married" (with an explanation if asked) was acceptable especially considering that in every other bit of evidence, I mentioned or showed I was married.

Now, the key difference here between you and I is that I filed "head of household" which does NOT necessarily imply I am NOT married. Filing "single" implies that, but in these cases, I am not sure it indicates an applicant is trying to hide something. So, I suggest you do like I did and go right to the horse's mouth and ask them. The U.S Embassy in Guyana had an email address where you could contact them and they responded next business day.

Thank you so much Thomianguy! I really appreciate it. I will email them tomorrow and see what they say. Thank you again for explaining it to me in details :)

  8. Good evening all,

I did my 2015 tax return as single because the person who did it for me said it wont be a problem. I recently realize that i was supposed to do it as married.

Do I need to do an amended tax return before hubby's interview? (I sent 2015 tax transcript to NVC along with all AOS documents back in march. NVC didn't give me a checklist or hasn't said anything about it.)

  9. You can request but now it will be probably be denied and also you have to wait until your case gets to embassy and they probably won't send it until close to end of May so he will probably have medical by then. It's best to schedule medical now. Then when case gets to embassy request earlier date stating you have had medical.

Thank you :) Yeah we will try again to schedule an appointment for medical.

I have another question, I did my 2015 tax return as single because the person who did it for me said it wont be a problem. I recently realize that i was supposed to do it as married. Do I need to do an amended tax return before hubby's interview? (I sent 2015 tax transcript to NVC along with all AOS documents back in march. 10. hello everybody,

My husband is scheduled for interview on June 21st. I am going to Bangladesh end of June and will be back on July 21st. I wanted to request an earlier interview date for him so we could come together (I am afraid we might be in AP for at least a month). So today when my husband called to to get an appointment for medical, they said he has to wait till end of may since they go by interview date basis.

Can we request for an earlier interview date without doing medical?

I don't even know if Dhaka embassy accept these requests, just wanted to give it a try... :clock:
