    Hi guys,

I am completing N-400 online to file based on 3-year rule (married to US citizen).

I do not understand where to upload my spouse's naturalization certificate and 'evidence about marriage' (such as leases/bank statements etc.).

Somehow, the online form only asks me for my green card, marriage certificate, children birth certificates and tax transcripts. But nothing like proof of US citizen spouse US citizenship or 'evidence about marriage'. Is it okay? Or you had the online form explicitly asking you for a proof of your spouse citizenship?

last one. There were part calls others which you can upload all additional documents. i believe we did it that way.

i think you are lucky if it is not system glitch. Same thing happened to my wife' s case on AOS process. No update, no notice arrived and they denied our case based on '' no show up to interview'' took us good month to clear everything and reopen the case. Make sure to call them ask if they can provide any info or copy of original interview notice.

UPDATE: I have spoken to the staff of our local congressman and have filled out forms with the info needed to have them contact the USCIS asap and see what they can do. We also have a meeting with a lawyer tomorrow.

Surprisingly most lawyers have been unhelpful in our case as they did not start the I485 submission process. Funnily enough the lawyer is also British. I am quite disappointing by US lawyers at present and their willingness to accept such a straightforward case.

We are also scheduled for a USCIS infopass meeting on the 9th of March (25th is when I290b needs to be with them as our last resort). We hope that one of these two avenues is viable before sending off a 290b and $700. We are WELL on the case people!

Hi Did you have chance to get any info after Infopass. i have it tomorrow and i am in same boat.

  5. Hey Guys,

Finally we made it. My fiancee came to Houston right before Christmas and we got married last Friday :)  when we applied to marriage certificate she used her maiden name (which i thought was the way and also lady did not even mention). Now she will take my last name. she is from Turkey and we applied to Turkish consulate about our marriage and changing the name. she needs to change her passport. Can we apply Greencard with the old passport (which has her maiden name on it) or do we have to wait for the new passport? what do you guys think?

    Regards,

  6. I've read a bit of the Turkish forums here and they said to book the first date you find available on the calendar (sometimes there is none, but keep checking) and then keep checking in case an earlier date opens up. Then you can change it to the earlier date, no questions asked. Somebody mentioned a plugin called check4change that can check if a date opened up and notify you if you cannot be at the computer all the time refreshing the page.

Either way, I have also read that it takes approximately 2 months to get an interview in Turkey, so you might just have to roll with it.

    Hope everything goes smoothly!

    Thanks for the info,

I also talked to rep from Embassy. she told me same thing keep checking for the earlier date. you can reschedule it whenever there is an available date.

  7. Hi Guys,

Question about interview date. i already paid the visa fee 265$ and saw that earliest interview date i can book is 21st of November ( Ohhhhhh come onnnnn ://// ) Do you guys think i should book 21st? and try to reschedule. i am 100% sure they will ask for excuse. i believe i cannot use i miss my fiancee excuse :)

or try to call embassy (Turkey) to see earliest available date?

    Thanks
