We didn't schedule our interview until after our NOA2 was expired as well. From what I've read, they automatically extend it. I don't think you should have any issues with that.

My issue on our K1 visa is the notice type on the I-179 form is valid from 6-01-2016 to 9-30-2016. My fiance due to earning the rest of the fee just made his appointment on 10-11-2016. I sent an email to Lagos and they replied they can not extend the date so it will be up to the interviewing officer to determine if they can extend the date? Reading the other threads for this I am so confused. They also stated in the email that he needs to make the appointment online or the validity of the approved petition may elapse. I responded that he does have an interview set and sent them his conformation page. I just don't understand that date being of value when Lagos is now scheduling first of December to get an interview so even if he did it 30 days ago there is no way he would have made the date. Has anyone else dealt with interviewing outside of that date?
