they were looking for the chinese household registry to establish father/son relationship

you can ask for interview if they let you schedule it in New Zealand

if this is all they needed for your visa all we can guess is it willl be approved now as if they intended to deny, it should have been stated at first interview (just my opinion)

Hi Adil-rafa, thank you for your ideas. Recently it bother me a lot, as I have waited my visa for over 7 years. I already posted all the required documents, and they replied email to me says that if they still need more information they will contact me (actually after that email they did not ask anything). My logic is that they should issue the visa to me directly instead of asking me to have the second interview. As in Guang Zhou, China, if the case like mine, then the consular officer will issue visa directly. I wonder if the consular officer still have concern about my case even I already posted all the documents to them. This is my big concern.

  2. Hi Guys,

I had F2B interview in Auckland New Zealand on Feb 2018. During the interview the consular officer gave me one piece of sheet, and ticked it Section 221 (g) and on the reverse side ( OF - 194) shows me that I need post my father recent pay slip, household register ( China) and proof of relationship between me and my father. The pay slip and Chinese household register are very easy.

As I finished my University in New Zealand and then work in New Zealand ( I am Chinese ), then I did not come back to China very often, when I came to China my father was in US, when my father in China I was in New Zealand. So I don't have many photo with my father, the most recent photo including me and my father is back to 2009, and I showed this photo and other 3 photos (took these 3 photos in 1990s) to consular officer. And I showed him the Birth Certificate and Family Relationship Certificate. But seems like consular officer  was not satisfied with such proofs of relationship.

I already posted pay slip, Chinese Household Register and the proof of relationship between me and my father. The proof of relationship includes two West Union receipts 2011 and 2010 (where shows my name and my father's name), from 2013 to 2014 my bank statement where show my father's name as he sent money to me and my father Capital One Bank receipts. AOS and IV fee screen shot photos where show my father name and my case number. Three postcards, one is the very recent my father posted it to me after my interview date. The others two postcards very old in 1996. Two FedEx envelopes from my father to me. One includes a letter from my father (date is after my interview date), the other one just the envelope left. One USPS envelope from my father to me recently. Two letters in 2001 including the envelopes.  And four envelopes sent from me in New Zealand to my father. And two post receipts that I sent to my father after my interview. I only got my phone call records with my father after my interview date.

I post all documents that I mentioned above, then this Friday website CEAC showed my case changed from AP to Ready, and also shows that I need go to interview again, but I have not received any email about the second interview.

Thank you for your patience to read. My questions are :

1, I thought I already posted these documents, why they still asked me to have second interview ? Is this the normal process or the consular officer still has concern about my case ?

2, with these documents can I get the visa ?

3,  Can I request them to arrange me an earlier interview date ?

    Thank you guys.

If they asked for a second interview then they need it. You have to go. Your proof of relationship doesn’t seem very recent and they need to make sure that you do have an on going relationship with your father and that you didn’t just start this for gc purposes. You need to find out when your interview is, if you have to schedule it or if they do it for you. Call the embassy and ask. Sometimes they don’t get in touch and you have to do it. Even if you submitted all they asked for it still isn’t a guarantee that you’ll get the visa. If they think that your new evidence can back up your case then you still have a shot since you were called for a new interview they haven’t made up their mind yet.

Hi TNJ 17, thanks for your reply. My opinion is F2B family based immigration visa is based on the biological relation between me and my father, as I just found the USCIS website mentions that the last method to show prove the relationship is the DNA test.  I sill appreciate your ideas, thanks :)
