  1. I spoke with the NVC on the 7th of Aug and they stated I have been forwarded to the Embassy. My question is do they send a letter stating they did?

Or does the Embassy send a letter or call or e-mail me stating they got it? What am I waiting for?

    Regards,

    Gomez

you should get something on the update - voice thing. and something in wrting.

it dont matter. how about start tracking the diplomatic pouch. people that are obsessed track the DHL shipments. so in the mean time kick back til your SO get a packet from the embassy.

How do you get a DHL tracking number? I asked for DHL tracking number, NVC employee told me that they don't provide tracking number.

  2. I just called NVC to get the status of my case, and what did the lady tell me? Your case is in Administrative Processing , and there is no trimeframe to this process. I just got done waiting 6 months for my NOA2, due to security checks, and now I am feel like I am back to square one again. I know this has been asked before, but what is the difference between Administrative Processing and Adminstrative Review, or is there a difference at all.

I am feeling a little low right now, but I am trying to keep a positive attitude about it all. Hopefully we won't be under "Administrative Processing" for as long as we waited for our NOA2 to come. Thanks for listening.

    My dear,

we are all in the same situation. My case was received at NVC July 11. I called last Friday, I was told my case is uner AP. I called today, I was told the same story. No timeframe. Let's prepare ourselve for another 1-6 months. Since Friday, I lost my moral. I don't think there is a difference between AP and AR. I asked her what could trigger an AP or AR? Her answer was is a normal process.

  3. I just wanted to write this post to tell all of us who are going through this journey together to be strong, and patient. I know this is so hard for many of us but i am so hopeful, and sure that we will all make it through this long hard process. Sometimes it helps just to get a pat on the back. We and our future husbands, and wives, deserve a BIG Congrats for all that we have to endure through these hard times. I have a poem i would like to write for everyone to read i hope that it brings encouragement to everyone.

    DON"T QUITE

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will. When the road you're trudging seems all uphill. When the funds are low, and the debts are high, And you want to smile , but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit. Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is strange with its twists and turns. As everyone of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns out: When you might have won had you stuck it out: Don't give up though the pace seems slow. You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out. The silver tint of the clouds of doubt. And you can never tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far; So stick to the fight with you're hardest hit. It's when things seem the worst that you must NOT QUIT.

AJ1 Good luck to all of us!!!

What a great poem. I had been out of VSC, but constantly visiting K1 threat to bring my support to you guys. I know how depressing it could be from time to time. Therefore, we all need words of encouragement, something to sustain us and boost our moral. That exactly what this poem did to moral as many of us, as we are united for one cause.

  4. Probablly the same thing. Looks like most people are out of NVC either in a couple of days or weeks. We are both about two weeks in I wouldnt sweat it just yet.

I asked this question becuase from my reading, it seems that AP is a normal process, which everyone applicant file goes through. Whereas, AR is done for additional security or background check, especially when your name has been hit. Just my thought, no sure if this is true. This deduction is from what I am reading on this website.

  5. Sounds like you had the same phone conversation I did.

There really should be a twiddle your thumbs icon here

What is the difference between Administrative Processing and Administrative Review? From my reading on this site it looks like we are heading for another long processing.

  6. Got a letter on July 10 (with an MNL#) stating the NVC has my petition and will be forwarded to the embassy within one (1) week.

    Got curious so I called

morning: Very pleasant woman answers. Checks my case and says yes its been forwarded.....wait no looks like they are getting ready to. Ok thanx for your help.

late afternoon: hmmm maybe they sent it? Im gonna call. Very pleasant gentlemen answers looks up my case and says yeah its here going through "processing" if you dont hear anything in a couple of weeks give us a callback. Ok thank you.

    see what tomorrow brings.

I am in the same situation as you Gomez. My case was received at NVC on July 11. I received a letter in the mail this week from NVC dated July 14, with the same wording as yours. I called today, thinking that my case had already left for the consulate, but to my surprise the lady told that my case is in administrative processing and that she doesn't have a time frame and she asked me to callback within a week, which I am planning to do toward the end of next week. Let's hope it's not another long wait.
