  1. Thanks jmr99! I went to USCIS contact page and actually found one of the situation I can contact them is :

    • whether we received your application/petition if you filed more than 30 days ago and you have not yet received a receipt notice.

30 days I guess is the time for me to wait until I contact them... I don't know...

Okay, I was a bit concerned about my notices so I called them after 10 days. They asked me which date I sent it in. After I told them the date, they said that since it has been more than 10 days, they are going to elevate the phone call to an officer who had access to personal information of applications. This officer then looked up some of my information and gave me my case numbers and even confirmed the addresses the notices were being sent to. In one case, one of my receipts had gone to the wrong address and he was able to correct the address for me and re-send me one. Hope this helps :)

  2. We received our electronic NOA 1 on march 8th and the hard copy on march 12th. The strange thing is, as of today(march 16th), we can only get a case status for our I-485 and I-131 but not for our I-765 EAD card application. When we enter the MSC receipt number for the I-765 on the case status site we get this error message. We're not sure why this is happening

    Validation Error(s)

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Hang tight, it usually takes a couple of days for it to update on the system. Mine didn't register for 2-3 days but I kept trying back and then one day it worked :)

  3. Congratulations! and now I officially think there is a problem with mine, it is so weird I got nothing yet or there is no logic in the way they process packets when they receive them...This is making me so frustrated...

Ach, you should receive the paper copy of the NOA withing 10 days of USCIS receipt of your package. Granted that there may have been delays, you can call the USCIS helpline, press option 1, press option 2, press option 2 again, and option 2 again. Once you reach a representative, tell them it's been more than 10 days since you sent the package. They will then elevate the call and transfer you to a representative who can track case by name, SSN etc. Hope this helps :)
