  1. Ours was sent in April 2011. Got NOA a couple of weeks later that it was received and did not hear a thing until November 2011 when we received a RFE. Strange thing is, we moved in October 2011 and I changed our address on BOTH the USCIS site and the site where you have forms/documents(I-751) pending. About 4 weeks later received at new address RFE with a date to send it back by FEB 2012. Sent in Jan 2012 and still waiting.

  2. I am not an expert on the I-485,but I too submitted the K-1 and K-2 I-485 forms. On the I-94 paper(white small document they recieved when they entered US)they put the same A# on both the K-1 and K-2 I-94 document.

In filling out the I-485 I used the same A# for both K-1 and K-2 I-485. Since you have to submit copies of the I-94,I figured they could see that the immigration officer put the same A# on the I-94. K-1 has been approved awaiting GC,and K-2 is scheduled for interview.

  3. i went into the local county clerks office in memphis today to ask for a copy of our marriage license but was told it would take months to get a copy because of a backlog at nashville

Go to Tennessee Dept. of Health-Vital Records on internet. It is the official state government site, there is a service to order

certificates (marriage,death,etc.). I believe it is a company that has contract with state to process documents. You can order the marriage certificate there on the internet. It cost maybe 35 or 40 dollars. I ordered mine a couple of months ago and it took about 5 days to get it. It is the official document with state seal.

  4. In Part 3,number 9 is child to be listed also or only on the seperate AOS for child? This determines number of dependents in household. Thanks for responses

That number should be the spouse + children. If you have one child, then the number should be 1+1=2 on Line 10.

Specifically, (this is the I-864 not the I-485) the child is not listed in part three number 9. On this form you are sponsoring 1 immigrant. On another form, you are sponsoring 1 immigrant. One for the spouse and one for the child. At least that's exactly how we did it with a positive result.

    Pushbrk,

Yes,this is the I-864 form. So, an I-864 for spouse as principal with no child listed, then for child(16 yo)as principal on other I-864. In other words two separate I-864's each sponsoring 1 immigrant? This is how you submitted?

    Thanks for replies

  5. My Fiance has interview at the Moscow Embassy on Aug. 20,it has been scheduled for about 6 weeks now.Today she said she received a letter from the embassy, but will pick it up tomorrow. She is worried something is wrong, but I checked the appointment schedule and it is still Aug.20. Now I am worried.

Has anyone received a second letter 5 days before interview? And what could it be about?

    Thanks for anyones quick response.

  6. Is it correct that the vaccinations for a K-1 visa are not required as part of the medical for interview at embassy? Also does child of beneficiary also have to have the medical exam?

For those who have recently had the interview at embassy in Moscow,is arriving 2 days before interview ok for medical exam, say arriving Aug 18 for interview Aug 20?

Any info on this would be appreciated, thanks.

  7. I believe this was asked before, but has anyone had beneficiary go to Moscow embassy interview without invitation letter?

Embassy recieved case number week of June 9,and interview has been scheduled Aug. 20.As of today beneficiary still has not recieved invitation letter or interview instructions. Case number and interview date of Aug 20 is shown on embassy site, but no papers to beneficiary yet.
