I am filing for my adjustment of status after getting married to my american husband. We need a joint sponsor for form i-684. As far as I understand my husband, must fill out a form and the joint sponsor as well. In part 1 question 1 is my husband 1.a. the petitioner, and our joint sponsor 1.d. the only joint sponsor ??

Another question.... Once again I am adjusting my status from B-2 after getting married to a u.s. citizen. I think the correct application type for part 2 would be a. An immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number that has been approved....
I just want to double check and make sure it is the right choice, I don't see any others that would work.
Thank you!

Ugh, NO. That's incorrect. OP has NOT entered on a K-3. OP, are you filing the I-765 with an AOS Package (I-130, I-845, etc.)?
If so, you put c 9 in the eligibility category at question 16.
From the instructions:
"Adjustment Applicant--c 9. File Form I-765 with a copy of the receipt notice or other evidence that your Form I-485, Application for Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, is pending. You may file Form I-765 together with your Form I-485."
Thank you that makes more sense!
Yes I am filing for AOS as well. As far as evidence goes, is it enough that my form I-485 will already be in the packet?

Hello,
I entered the U.S as a visitor, I am Canadian, and got married. I am now filling out form 1-765 and I am not sure what the answer is for question 16, I think it would be this one: K-3 Nonimmigrant Spouse of U.S. Citizen or K-4 Dependent--(a)(9). File Form I-765 along with evidence of your admission such as copies of your Form I-94, passport, and K visa.
Can anyone let me know if this makes sense.
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
I recently got married and I am applying for my I-130 and adjustment of status. I am wondering what name I should use? None of my documents, passport, I.D. etc have my married name. Should I just stick to my maiden name to get the ball rolling and maybe change it in the future? My Canadian passport for example does not need to be renewed until 2019 is it best to stick to my maiden name?
Thank you for your opinions!
Interview date before temporary EAD and AP
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports

Hello,
We submitted all paperwork for adjusting from a B-2, got NOA 04-04-16, went for biometrics 05-09-16. Today I received a REQUEST FOR APPLICANT TO APPEAR FOR INITIAL INTERVIEW on 06-28-2016 in Pittsburgh.
For some reason I thought we were looking at months almost a year to get an interview... I haven't even received my EAD or AP yet. Does this happen frequently? And should I be expecting my EAD before the interview? I am so excited about this but kind of nervous at the same time!
Thanks for your input!
