Just a quick update. Submitted AOS and IV packet on 9/8/16 and approved on 9/12/16. Looks like EP is the real deal.
Can someone please send the link to the interview thread (interviewing at the MTL consulate)?
Thank you.

Question about tax returns. According to the NVC wiki page, you can submit tax returns for either either the past one or three years.
How do you decide whether to submit one or three years worth of tax returns?
Thank you.

Question: I am the petitioner for my wife. If I have the ability to move to the US for a job and my case is at the NVC, how can I proceed? Do I just notify them that I have moved to a new address? Or should I keep the address as the old Canadian address?
Thank you.

Just got our NOA-2 from Potomac today.
Our NOA-1 date was 2-25. We are filing from abroad, in case that matters.
Best of luck to everyone. Looks like Potomac is moving much quicker than originally expected.

There's no question that this whole process can be stressful.
The approach that works best for me is to focus on what I can control. So whether it's the medical, police background or I864, I just focus on making sure that the paperwork is accurately and completely finished ASAP. When the paperwork is with the embassy/Potomac, you cannot do anything. Worrying will just add to stress and make you less productive.
Hope that helps & best of luck.

Yes, that's your NOA1.
Thank you.
Appreciate it.

Just received update. Case has been transferred to Potomac. Does this mean that the update I just received is the NOA-1?
Thanks.

So once the Form I-130 has been filed, do you complete OF-169, both parts of OF-230, and I-864?
From review of some forums, it looks like the OF-169 may no longer be required. Is that the case?
Is there anything else, other than gather tax returns that can be completed prior to the NOA-2?
Thanks.

Hello fellow February filers.
First, I want to thank everyone for their comments and clarifications. This website has been tremendously helpful in preparing the documents for a Form I-130.
I mailed the Form I-130 on Saturday, February 20th from a Chicago suburb. It arrived at the USCIS P.O. Box on Monday, February 22nd.

Also, we got a notice that my wife's passport needs to be renewed because it expires within 6 months of the interview date. It's not a checklist, but we have to prove that my wife has updated her passport prior to the interview.
