He never mentioned a blk packet...the medical stuff was sent prior to his interview by them...thats usually how its done....not sure why they gave u anything

They might ban u for 1 yr..after that u will do ur medical n interview again.

They didn't mention a waiver to me n my husband. They jus said he was banned 1 yr for admission. Should I file a waiver?

I know n I'm calm...i jus don't want anymore problems. I appreciate some of u guys feedback n I will definitely take heed. Nothing to do now but make future plans n wait it out. Also, if any of u guys know...will they use the same info for the affidavit of support or will I need to bring 2016 tax info?

Aaron are u sure? I'm so scared and don't want to mess up again. They didn't ask for drug tests or anything because his test result was negative. They jus said when the ban expires....email them for another interview and schedule the medical.

I wasn't considering lying. I was asking a question in which telling the truth got him banned so if I tell the truth again..wat happens...another ban?

So when the ban is up and we do the medical and interview again..how do we answer that same question of has he river tried weed? If we say no..we are lying n he may be banned 4 life...they already have the first paperwork where he admitted to it a long time ago..so wat do we say the second time?

Husband was denied visa because he just admitted to smoking ganja in his 20s. Drug test negative. He was banned for 1 year. Is there anything we can do about this? I need him so bad. Please help us

I don't think that's true. My NVC receive date was Aug 23rd...with 1 delay my case would have been complete Sept. 13 but it was complete Oct 24 after submitting paperwork forgotten. Awaiting interview letter now....this is almost over!!

I'm not sure why you have to go through all of this....very confusing and frustrating. To my understanding an I realize your dealing with another country than me but NVC is supposed to send you a checklist and that checklist let's you know exactly what your supposed to send. Did you not get an email with that info? I would think the protocol is the same for everyone when it comes to the NVC part.....i never had to call them an ask what to send. When I got the cover letter, it was very clear. I sent in all those documents you stated at one time and it was completed in less than 6 weeks. I had a delay only because I missed 2 papers for the affidavit and had to send in. If it wasnt for that i was finished in less than 6 weeks. Never had to call or email. I only called at the end to make sure everything was complete and they immediately told you me I was complete and awaiting interview. I'm sorry your going through this....

From my understanding it doesn't matter what country your in, the NVC sends you a cover letter with all the paperwork they need to complete ur case....did u get an email with ur cover letter and evetything?

It doesn't sound like you have done your case correctly and why won't you call and actually talk to someone? You asked them to send in a police certificate? You should have sent that in with the rest of your paperwork already if you want them to complete it! You need to call and actually talk to a rep and find out what you need to do exactly. Good luck

NVC completed my case on Oct. 24, 2016. They are already working on my interview date/time. I called them again today. She said it should be between 30 to 60 days for my letter with instructions to be sent.

Sept 13, 2016 was my second scan date.

I sent my paperwork in Aug 23 2016 and my NVC case complete was Oct 24, 2016. It was only because I missed some paperwork though. I sent it back which delayed it or it would have been completed in about 6 weeks. Now I'm waiting for the interview appt. Praying it takes only up to the 60 days they said.

I apologize for piggy backing off of ur post but I'm wondering if I too can expedite. I take care of my mother who is very ill and broke her hip an she has severe dementia. I was going to so many doctors apps I lost my job and I need my husband here to help me. Would I qualify to expedite to ok?? Please help
